It's very selective brass... In fact I'd go so far as to say that TV 1 has only one nut, when it comes to unreservedly allowing the public to voice an opinion on their media. But hey... perhaps the new government has compelled them to desist from blocking public opinion. It is early days for the squirming lefties of the MSM.

The combined carbon footprint of a measly population of 5 million kiwis won't make a dent to climate change. China with its 1.4 billion population is the world's biggest emitter of carbon emissions and yet they are still planning to build two new coal plants every week. Name calling a generation of people who are transferring more wealth into the hands of future generations compared to any other in history tells one everything about that person.
Sound bites Swarbrick. The question is whether she is beyond redemption. That is her choice.
Maori tribes signed the treaty in defiance of the Crown. It is human to try to get the best deal for yourself or your group. That does not make your actions any less despicable in terms of society. Own that!!
Being generous by handing out wealthy that belongs to others does not make one generous in any way.

This government only cares about passing wealth from the average person to their wealthy friends. How much do you think international tobacco companies paid them to get them to push tobacco so hard as one of their first week priorities? National only ever takes money for their wealthy buddies, and that you haven't noticed that yet doesn't say much for your observational skills. You need to spend more time watching what they do instead of just believing what they say. If you did, you would understand why they keep being called liars.

@@dipperdog you explain to me how the anti smoking law affects smoking rates in NZ in any coherent way and I may consider your opinion.
Smoking rates have been trending down as people make rational decisions on their own trade offs. Better health and more money to use for necessities and lifestyle choices.
This trend preceded the introduction of vaping and would have continued if vaping was not introduced.
The tobacco industry was a declining business until it was resurrected once vaping was made popular by those in authority. The tobacco industry lobbied very hard for the vaping market.
A dying industry was resurrected by those in authority and as Thomas Sowell explains it so clearly, those who stand to lose their jobs in the regulatory business are incentivised to maintain the status quo.
