I thought they could feel the exhaustion just that it wasn’t as effective on them. Like he could feel his muscles aching but it wouldn’t stop him from doing the job. The same way he feels regular pain when being slashed bit or stabbed
I believe that’s just another myth perpetuated by most common folks. Wtichers for all I know, varies from their skills to mutations. Some were being exaggerated and some were just misconceptions, just like “all witchers doesn’t show emotions”. Some of them do, some of them don’t, some of them do show but are repressed due to the trauma from their training and mutations. I believe Geralt experienced exhaustion, his body reacts to it. But due to his mutations, it takes a lot of effort to reach the point of exhaustion compared to a normal human. Great points are raised by two comments here. 1. He experienced it but are continued to do so due to heightened adrenaline, his body reacts to it but still continues to do so due to the mutations. Pain and exhaustion are body’s signal that the body is reaching its limits. Witchers are no normal human beings. And it might take a long while for them until they reach their failing point. 2. Geralt is out of words, seeing what could’ve been a normal mercenary fought and built like a demon. Man used to fought countless monsters but seeing what could’ve been a “normal man” fight like that would earn anyone a respect, fear, or amazement. At the end of the day, all Witchers CAN die. They are only mutated humans, not divine beings. They can sword dance to the point of their exhaustion and die. Witchers have far superior healing factors and immune system, but if they drank a thousand poison or something, they can still die due to intoxication. List goes on :)
In polish dubbing (the original, thus canonical) Geralt sounds more confused, than out of breath. I'll leave a link to a version with polish dub, if you're curious th-cam.com/video/PYMdN7nncLA/w-d-xo.htmlsi=SqtW5IWkfuvxiAK3&t=433
He still needs oxigen? And combat is tyring His metabolism probably deals with electrolyte imbalances, lactic acid and replenishes atp and kreatine phosphate quite quickly. Probably better / more red bloodcells and or more lung capilaries but it does not make one imune to being out of breath
Cmon mate, your videos are art, if you make a whole playthrough with a lore accurate geralt and what a lore accurate geralt would do... it would be awesome
The guy about to get killed, tryd grape to the manor owners daughter then murdered the owner of the manor when confronted. Olgird ordered him put down for this cause isn’t not his first offence. Geralt would likely intervene until he found out the reason then would most likely back off.
This is cool mate, I love the look! Playing on pc really is something else eh. You should definitely keep posting cutscenes of this handsome looking Geralt!
It really is lore accurate Geralt, its even noticeable through the fight. Like in the books, immediately after the dual start, Geralt rush and attack at a supernatural speed, taking the opponent by surprise. Nice
If you have a mod something like dark green cat eyes for Geralt, it would perfect a triple reference to the unspecified dark color of the books, the green eyes of the comics and the fanart of Mads as Geralt with Dark green cat eyes.
This version of Geralt is intimidating as hell. The only thing that bothers me with original Geralt is that he's so handsome and warm-looking that I kinda don't buy it when he intimidates people so easily (then again they are superstitious and paranoid about witchers so.. idk). But I still prefer friendly Geralt all around lol for when he's just hanging with his buddies or being a dad to Ciri or honestly doing anything that isn't straight up threatening people
No offence, but...Olgierd is lore accurate? Definitely not. Originally he was designed to be somebody like Cossack, and because of that he should have characteristic haircut of Cossacks (in my country we call it per "khokhol" or "oseledec") His original haircut was very close to it. Witcher is also not accurate. I really recommend to read his description according to Sapkowski's book, because here he looks more like Uber-Morlock from "TIme Machine" movie
У меня "каноничный" ведьмак ассоциируется с иллюстрациями из нашей версии книги, а других версий нигде и нет, да и в книге о нем написано "не красивый и не страшный, не молодой и не старый, жилистый" у всех свое представление
You know I just noticed something. That cat didn't hiss at Geralt. Cats ALWAYS hiss at Geralt but not this one. That's why Geralt looks at the cat that passes him. I think that cat is Gaunter O'Dimm. this writing in Hearts of Stone is immaculate.
@@Scvythe His eyes shouldn't shine. The pupils reflect the light directed at them at night, just like a cat's eyes. I also feel like Witcher 3 vanilla Geralt has the appropriate looks. Geralt likes to moan about being a mutant, but the truth is he is a pretty boy. Almost all women he meets want to get in his pants at some point, so it's very clearly implied he is a very handsome dude, despite his scars. Geralt is also very honorable, he just likes to act cynical. He never acts in a way that's Machiavellian or morally questionable with the information he has. And he is very intelligent, despite many around him treating him like a boor and a simpleton. Again, when he makes wrong decisions, they are usually only revealed to be foolish in hindsight, after more information is revealed. In the Olgeird situation, he would not have intervened to murder all of the bandits just to save another bandit who he has seen trying to sexually harass an innocent woman earlier. He may ask what's going on, but he's not an idiot. One thing I don't care much for in game Geralt is how laconic he is. Book Geralt is very eloquent. He runs circles around most scholars and mages who treat him as a simpleton. He unravels mysteries, leads people in dangerous situations and is very diplomatic when needed. He can have long conversations on ethics, history, science and even politics, though he hates this subject. And when insulted he gets very salty and sarcastic about it. Oh well, maybe long bouts of profound conversations and expertly written lore exposition were too much to ask for a game, but still, would like to hear someof Geralt's "I can see through you and this is how you suck" speeches.
@@Scvythe Youre pretty spot on. The only thing that Geralt doesnt have are the shiny yellow eyes. He has dark eyes ( brownish or green ) and he is much paler. Other than that its very accurate

Olgierd with junior's hair is so strange 😂
I think I prefer it tbh
@@Scvythe nah, it looks goofy
@@Scvythe It suits him
Yeah, he's way better with original, suits his whole style much better
C'est choquant xD
Never understood why Geralt was out of breath at the end, seeing as lore wise witchers are practically immune to exhaustion
I always assumed it was because he was just so flabbergasted by Olgierd's immortality that he was kinda lost for words, not because of exhaustion.

Book Geralt is actually much weaker than videogame Geralt (assuming a halfway competent player). He gets his ass handed to him constantly.
Yes but this is more experienced book Geralt, who also healed completely, including his knee
So do Geralt's eyes just glow all the time in the books?
No he has dark eyes in the books wether its brownish or green we dont know. It was another Witcher that had yellow eyes.
