You have been such an inspiration to me this year! I don’t know why TH-cam showed you to me, but I am so grateful that the algorithm picked you. I am a 40-something former home schooler who was wondering what I was going to do with my first year of not being devoted my my children’s education for hours every day. And then you came along and helped me remember my love of crocheting. It had been years since I started a project, and even longer since I’d done any amigurumi. I think I found you in September. Since then I’ve made 8 crochet amigurumi toys (well, one is about to be finished this weekend), I started a granny square afghan, and made a scarf. I also took three knitting classes from local yarn shops. First was a beginner knitting class, just to dust off my old knitting skills. Then I took a Little Cotton Rabbits class where I made the sweet little girl bunny. Finally I took a sock making class-still need to finish those! I owe you a huge debt of gratitude for bringing so much joy to my life through your videos and the projects that you have inspired me to do. Thanks so much! I look forward to seeing what you do next year, and what you make me do next year, too! 😉. Merry Christmas!
Awwww!! Thank you so much for sharing your journey back to crochet and knitting!! We have a lot in common as former homeschool mommas. You've been very productive in such a short amount of time! ❤️🧶❤️🧶
Woooow! Thanks so much for the shout out :-) I've been letting your videos auto play while I wrap gifts and it's been such a treat. All of your makes look stunning! The pocket hugs are a genius idea 🥰
Oh my goodness!! Toni!!!! Thank you so much!!! You are such an inspiration to me as a designer and a business owner. You may notice I mention you A LOT in my videos!! 🤣 Thanks so much for commenting!! ❤️❤️❤️
I'm a crocheter. In 2022, I made 3 afghans for family members and 11 amigurumi (Batman, Pooh, Tigger, et al) for my grandsons. I've got a Nativity set in progress that I hope to have finished before Christmas. Unless I find an afghan pattern that's irresistible, I don't think I'll make another afghan. It takes too long and gets boring. I prefer working on amigurumi or smaller items like table runners or coasters.
Im just passed that big number and feel like life started all over again. So many things I wanted to do when I was younger but didnt have the money. Things I wanted to do that werent a good idea to do with small children running the house. Things that didnt fit into schedules filled with sports, band, activities. Things that I couldnt afford again with colleges. FINALLY everyone is grown up, stable, responsible and I get to touch yarn almost every day that I want to
I knit a pair of socks , crochet 12 big octopus , 5 little octopus, 14 frogs , 9 little monsters , 1 big and 2 little Christmas tree , 1 angel , a little fox , 8 headbands , 13 hats and 1 shawl . 1 baby blanket and 2 baby cardigan , I did sell most of it on a Christmas market I didn’t know it was this much , until you posted this video . Thank you for sharing your makes , they all are beautiful ❤️❤️
I didn't realize exactly how much I had completed until you mentioned it today. 13 pairs of knit socks(6 more before Christmas), 6 ornaments, 5 cross stitch projects, and last but not least 7 amigurumi toys. I still have to finish up some more of those before Christmas. Not sure why it always runs to the wire when I make holiday gifts.... I just love all of your projects that you showed! You are so talented an I thank you for sharing!
I do a lot of knitted and crochet for newborns in need. I also make dogsweaters for a rescue shelter. I'd say about 100 small items. I didn't count. I'm retired so I've done more then I've ever done. I really enjoyed your content, thanks for posting. love everything you made.
Oh my, I crocheted the Mia doll, a fox blanket for my new granddaughter, a big turtle and whale and several medium and small turtles for Christmas presents. I have made several baskets and large tote bags, several dolls, bears and bunnies. I'm sure there are more, I didn't realize how much I have crocheted in 2022 until I saw this video. I love all your creations Elise, everything is so well made. Many blessings for the new year ahead.
I just learned to knit mid year. I finished two scarves, a shawl, a blanket, and I have WIPs. Then last month I learned to crochet, and my first project was an amigurumi teddy bear, then I've made some granny squares. You and I are the same age, and you're right. It feels good to have new passions.
I made 14 amigurumi pieces, 1 afghan for my grandson, 110 sock hats for charity, and 1 prayer shawl for our ministry at my church. My favorite piece of all was Queen Elizabeth from the Iconic Women crochet book by Carla Mitrani. Second was Audrey Hepburn. Fun stuff!!
I have lost count, but many dozens of small doll items for an Appalachian children's charity. The dolls are purchased then I add the clothes, blankets a tiny pillow etc.
NICE amount of things you did. I did quite a few, because I made bucket hats for over 10 bucket hats, and 5 afghans for Christmas. I made 4 men hats... it does add up for sure. Keeps me busy and I love that. Then I knitted some Harry Potter armigurumi characters for a granddaughter, at least 6 characters. How fun to see all you have done! Such a beautiful job you do! love, hugs, prayers.
In 2022 we moved to Indiana was working on a house built in 1858. We put in 25 new windows all new electrical and plumbing. We did hire the walls done but we’ve done that before and other houses. This is now 2024 and the house is finished, we also had moved my son his triplets mother-in-law and wife to Tennessee. We also moved my husband‘s mother who is 97 and she lives in a home here in Indiana then we moved our nephew to Indiana been very busy. I am only now being able to do a lot of crochet knitting and whatever, thank you for your show. I love watching you.
You have inspired me to crochet. I'm starting with the cataster pattern I'm doing from your video to practice. I see you crochet the little sweet fox doll and I bought that pattern last year but never made it. Finding you and your beautiful work has inspired me to sharpen my skills. Than you.
I've crocheted at least sixteen dolls since August, three sweaters, over twenty coasters, and thirty ornaments. I also finished a huge blanket and a few baby blankets. I'm certain there's more that I have forgotten about... I really like crocheting! 😅💜💜 Great video!
I can’t believe how much I’ve made this year! Five blankets three more to bind together, granny squares. 8 or so amigurumi cats bunnies dogs balls dolls, a brand new art form for me. 20 acrylic paintings. Five or so hats and scarf sets. It’s so fun to do, sometimes frustrating and boring but the finished work is gorgeous. I’ve learned so much this year. I still drool concerning your knitted dress on your toys and sweaters, they are so beautiful. I love love love your colour work anything. Still don’t have the desire to learn knitting. Oh well. I absolutely love ❤️ your channel and your happiness and enthusiasm about all you do. Best wishes to you and your family this Christmas season and New Year💖 Hugs from Canada 🇨🇦.
Well, finding your videos the end of the year has put my passion for crochet and knitting back into my heart of desires. So I am just now finding all my whip's and finishing them. I have a scarf that I am working on at the moment, and a pair of socks in the line, and mitts..so thank you..Elise for helping me get past that hump. 🌷❄️
This year has been a quite complicated one for me, loosing loved ones and having a lot of other close family members really sick. I needed to find a way to relax and express myself that wasn't drawing, as after making my living from it, it got really difficult for me to do it as something therapeutic instead of something related to work. That's when I found your channel! Your videos make me remember that I've always wanted to learn how to do stuffed toys since my childhood, and how knitting was something that helped me to relax ten years ago. Watching your journey has been truly inspiring for me, and helped me start my journey on July! Since then, I've made seven toys, and it brings me so much joy to have found something new that I'm passionate about! It has helped me with my mental health, at the same time I'm able to gift the final result to my loved ones, being able to bring them joy as well! After Christmas, I would love to try to design my own toys, bringing my original characters to life! I can't wait to see your future patterns and videos, that are always really soothing for me to hear while I'm working on my projects! Thank you, and I hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful Christmas! 🥰
Thank you so much for sharing!! And that's wonderful that you've found something to help you get through what sounds like a very difficult time. How exciting that you will be designing your own toys!!! 🧶🧶🧶
I've only been crocheting about a year, It started last Christmas and I made a stocking for my very first project, I picked up making toys this year when my sister found out she was having twins and I wanted to crochet them something but didn't feel like a blanket or clothes was something I wanted to do. Instead I started researching different patterns and reading a few free ones to see if it was something I could manage. I did a big bunny and a big bear from a book I got on amazon, I finished them in June. Including those two I have done, 8 projects this year, mostly gifts for my kids or nieces and nephews.
Hi from Richmond, Texas. You introduced me to the littlecottonrabbits world, and other amigurumi designers. I just checked my Ravelry account, and I have finished 89 projects this year, 25 of them are amigurumi, and I’m still counting. Happy Holidays!!!
So far this year, I’ve crocheted 5 amigurumi animals, a baby blanket and a beanie, and I’ve sewn a t-shirt rag quilt, a tote bag, 4 zipper pouches, 2 Christmas wall hangings, and I’m working on several bowl cozies. I still have a baby doll diaper bag, 2 zipper pouches and another beanie to make for Christmas
I have made, a 12 point star, and a square 'call the midwife' blanket. 4 teddy loveys, 6 beanies, three quarters of large very colourful crochet blanket, A pig, 2 mice, 2 owls, and almost a whole fox. Some scarves for little kids. About to work through a new book of toys. Happiness is
Made your hearts for valentine's day gifts. 4 baby hats and blankets to match, 8 hats and scarves to match 3 shawls two Halloween candy bags, 2 Amagaromie skulls, and two pumpkins. Lastly 28 grannie squares and working on it to finish a lapghan.
Hello! I only started crocheting in October of this year. I like amigurumi and I made 9 so far. My favorite one is Baby Yoda, which is also the very first one I made! It's my new hobby, I love it!!! Thanks for your videos!!!
Hi Elise. Great job! I was amazed when I stared to go through my phone. I made 66 things this year!! I think my favorite is the blanket I'm working on now. It's a Christmas gift and Will be finished by tomorrow. Fyi...I made your bitty bunny and gave her a hat and scarf. She is a gift too. I love her. Take care!
I am a very new at crochet but so far I have completed one scarf and one beanie/hat. I am so loving and having fun learning how to crochet. I’m learning from several Crochet books and picked only three TH-cam tutorials videos and yours is one of them!
I lost track of how many toys I’ve crocheted this year! I gave many away. I wish I had taken pictures of all of them. I crocheted a basket and a Christmas Afghan. My very favorite make is the little 8” bear from MaryJane’s Tea Room. I bought the knit in the round version and it is so very fun to knit. I love her because I made the cutest little Santa dress for her! I couldn’t believe that the dress patterns from suziemarie fit her! It opened so many ideas. You have been responsible for so much inspiration! I pray you and your family have a Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!
Wow!! I've always wanted to make a Christmas blanket!! And that's so wonderful that the Suzy Marie patterns fit the Mary Jane's Tea room bears!! Thanks for sharing!!! 🧶❤️🧶❤️
Amazing! Beautiful! You and all your projects. I made 3 crochet baby blankets and I felt so accomplished. Cause I'm that person that never finishes a project.
Elise thank you so much for teaching me how to crochet last year especially amigurumi. I had been wanting to crochet toys for a long time but when I attempted it a few years ago I gave up because the pattern was in cotton Aran and my stitches were massive. You gave me the inspiration to try again and in one of your videos you said never give up. Those words popped into my head each time I thought about it. I mastered the magic circle eventually and its so easy now. I made two of your Bitty Bunnies first, then two gingerbread men and a really cute elephant from a kit my daughter gave me. I can’t believe how well it turned out considering it said intermediate and I’d only just learned to crochet. I knitted a couple of Mary Jane tearoom bears earlier in the year, but hope to crochet more this year. Your enthusiasm is so infectious and I look forward to your videos.
I have just finished all the items in the pica pau vol 2 book, plus 3 extra reindeers that i adapted to look like Rudolph. I bought the book after watching your channel, although I have crochet rugs and baby blankets, crocheting toys was a challenge, by the time I got to the end of the book my crocheting improved, at the age of 72 I was quite proud of my self. Obviously you can teach any old dog new tricks with a little perseverance. My New Years resolution for 2024 is to get certified, I’ll talk to someone at the knitters guild her in Australia to see how to go about it. Love, love ,love your channel.👏👏👍👍❤️
@@EliseRoseCrochet Actually you are my inspiration, otherwise I wouldn’t have set myself that goal. No pun intended, I’m hooked Amigurumi and hope to get a lot better at it. Once again thank you.
You have certainly been very busy this year. Your video has made me realize that I should start keeping some kind of journal to keep track of what was completed, so thank you for that idea. I have crocheted 4 amigurumi and am currently working on another one. I have also done a lot of sewing for myself and family, including a top and skirt completely sewed by hand because I injured my right ankle and could not use the sewing machine for a while. They turned out amazingly well. I have also knitted several hats and socks.
Oh wow!!! Sorry about your ankle! I'm so impressed that you were able to hand sew garments!!!! Thanks so much for sharing! And if it wasn't for Instagram I wouldn't have a clue what I made!! 🧶🧶🧶
I crocheted 24 baby layettes, 24 baby blankets for a charity project in South Africa, two shawls and some little knitted bunnies. I have many hobbies but always fill in with crochet or knitting. I also crocheted lots of lace edgings.
My FO's are two baby blankets, and four dishcloths done. Yes, I started a little late this year but got it done. I am experimenting with some stitches that I have not done before and working on mastering them. Still working on dishcloths, and an afgan for gifts. Plus, have three requests for cardigans for family. Not to mention thinking of a great project to two for next year's family reunion. Have found so many inspirational projects from your channel and others!
This year I learned short row knitting and finished two shawls with this technique. I am also learning embroidery these days and continue to work on dinosaurs amigurumis, at present a triceratops.
I made your itty bitty bunny several times, all in different colours and wools. They were amazing and I gave them to friends as presents . I absolutely love your channel, you are so up lifting and are an inspiration ❤️ Love from England in the UK xxx
Hi Elise. My favorite is the forgot not mitts by Heather Sakall . I’m on my third pair and I’m turning these into full length gloves. All of my mitts either become half or full fingers thanks to Very pink knits. Take care and I love all of your makes especially Fox girl, so 🥰 cute. Take care Rosy
I have no idea of how many things I have made this year, I live near the sea and in summer evenings I do craft shows, 4 a week I have recently made Lula and Maya for the Christmas fair. I left my job 2years ago and now I’m trying this, I crochet every day for hours and I have never been so satisfied😊
Vert nice makes! I've been spinning yarn most of the year and have made lots of hanks. I finished a basic ripple blanket for my nephew for Christmas that I'm really loving due to the color work in it, 5 different colors with a really nifty repeat sequence. First time I've really played with color so much. I have lots of left over yarn, I think I'm going to crochet a sweater for my 🐶 that would be another First for me
taught myself how to crochet the day before thanksgiving. Just decided I wanted to know how and my ADHD brain loves it! Love tony from TL Yarn Crafts she is great and now I have you to watch and learn from! So far I have made and sold three jellyfish and two loaf cats as well as a custom requested amigurumi voldemort! I made everyone in my family a baby yoda and I'm halfway done with a blanket for my boyfriends family. I am enjoying it. it's a nice fun hobby that I get to do when we are slow at work! Everyone got me yarn and hooks for xmas lol. boyfriends familiy's gift arrived today and it was a beginners box of crchet items which was a lot of yarn and some more hooks. I have a lot of hooks now! They also got me this huge!!! toiletry bag that I am now using to hold all my yarn - that's how big it is. Its like a foot tall! What toiletries are supposed to go in that??? super helpful! My grandma gave me her mother's crochet hooks. She said that if her mom could see me she would be so happy and proud. My great grandma tried to teach my grandma how to crochet but my grandma was the son her dad never had and couldn't figure it out lol. So that meant a LOT. OH! i forgot I made my friend a baby blanket she is having a little boy in feburary and that was the first thing I made!
I recently found your channel and I am so touched by your positivity and fun crochet reviews. You inspire me to be creative and continue crocheting! Thank you for all the wonderful videos you make. I love your designs and I can’t wait to see what else you come up with. 💖💖😊
I made 120 amigurumi projects ( I used chunky chenille yarn btw) I made most of them for markets. I also made 10 bags and 6 baby blankets 20 hats for charity for breast cancer since my grandma has breast cancer
I was amazed to figure out that I have designed 30 crochet patterns this year 😅 almost all of them were Amigurumi. The majority were featured in UK crochet magazines, but that means I have a lot of work ahead of me to get them all ready to be independently released into my shop in 2023. Thanks for challenging us to figure it out! Your 2022 makes are all so beautiful.
I made 3 gnomes, a snowman, a rag doll grinch, 25 pumpkin gift bags party favors for fall party for my granddaughter and 20+ Easter bunny basket party favors too, a few dish clothes, a little dog, Christmas stockings and towel toppers. And that’s just crocheted. I sew too.
Hello! I’m watching from Japan. Your videos are always so informative and positive and comforting. Your joy in amigurumi is so fun to watch! I started amigurumi recently and I am making a rabbit display for the New Year.
I love the little dresser for the amigrumi clothes. I knitted 2 oversized scarves. It took me forever because i dont have central air conditioning so i only have a narrow window of time for large projects. I made a few smaller things but under 5 items. I guess i should wait til the end of the video before commenting but i had a grey kitty that looked exactly like Olive but she was an American Bobtail. She hated going out side but liked the screened in front porch. Her name was Cha Cha.
Hello hope you and your familly are doing great , i love your videos. I have made a few items in the past year, all crochet like blankets, cardigans, socks but my very favorite is a little crochet monster i made for my son who wanted a huggy wuggy doll. You are the reason why it was possible. You gave me the confidence i needed. Thank you ho so very much.
i just started crocheting mid october and i’ve made 3 bandannas, 2 beanies, 2 and amigurumis. as well as a good amount of frogged projects 😅 but it’s been a lot of fun! i’m making a few spreads in my 2023 bullet journal dedicated to crochet so i can track my progress ♥️
Every day when I finish something, I note it in my day planner. I make a lot of little items. Sometimes I finish multiple items per day. I average over 30 items per month, but that includes a lot of stuff like little egg scrubbies that I send with Etsy orders as a surprise gift.
@@EliseRoseCrochet I went through my day planner and made a spreadsheet. 530 items so far: 246 of those sold, 117 of them went to inventory, and 84 of them were gifts that went with Etsy orders, or gifts for my grandchildren. Double-digit makes included 21 axololtls, 28 Butter lambs, 14 mini dinosaurs, 42 egg scrubbies (my most common Etsy gift), 18 Forest Friends (Minigurumi pattern), 18 geckos, 17 Hamsters (also minigurumi), 14 monsters, 24 whale ornaments (Neogurumi pattern), 18 mini turtles. It was good to do a summary... now I know what to focus on in 2023 - the stuff that sells!
Everything you made is lovely! I crocheted a lot of blankets this year, including a special one for each of my siblings and one for my mom for after she had knee surgery. I love thinking back on all the things I’ve created. Happy almost 2023!
You definitely inspired me to start Amigurumi and I have to crochet Granny and the Mia doll. I mostly crochet, so while I want to learn how to knit socks, I'm kind of intimidated, but your content makes me want to try everything.
Okay, Elise. I haven't even watched this video yet, but I have been binge watching many of your past videos after finding you this week, and I just had to come make a comment on your most recent video. First of all, I love you and I am now obsessed with amigurumi. But other than that, every time I watched another one of your videos, i was like, "What?!" because of all the little things I discovered about you and that we have in common. First of all, I hope your son is well now and I will pray for him and your family. My son also became very ill a few years ago and it turns you world upside down. I had to pull my son from the 6th grade because he was so sick. It was a long journey (he had Lyme), but now he is well. But, when I pulled him, we homeschooled! I had actually always wanted to homeschool and had my toes in the homeschool pond since before he was even preschool age because I love homeschooling and wanted to homeschool. I am a curriculum junky and I afterschooled him through most of elementary school because I didn't like the way they taught reading in public school and my son has ADHD-Inattentive so he would daze off and just lose chunks of information being lost in his own imagination. We still homeschool and i love it. Then, I watched a video where you mentioned St. Therese. I do not know if you are Catholic, but that spoke to me because my son and I have actually started our own journey to becoming Catholic in just the last few months. I wondered about the "Petit Saint" name from the beginning and whether it was a Catholic reference or a French reference. My son was born in France. Finally, I'm a speech-language pathologist and I adored your video with your adorable daughter. My main interest was actually adult neurogenics, but I ended up working Early Intervention in homes and working in the schools because it fit my schedule better as a mom and I love all things learning and play and therapy. Anyway, thank you for all of your lovely videos and when I find the time to fit it in, I think I am going to fall in love with amigurumi. But, I have a bad habit of putting things off, so we'll see when, lol.
Oh my goodness!!! We have so much in common!!! Yes, I am Catholic and love St. Therese! She is my favorite! I'm so glad your son is better! There is nothing more awful in the entire world than watching any of my children suffer. Thank you so much for sharing our common interests! I miss my curriculum junkie days!! It was always so much fun looking through all the catalogs!!! ❤️❤️❤️
I was inspired to pickup making amigurumi toys this year (after a lot years) when I come across your channel lat June this year. I only crochet on my spare time and interchanging it with sewing things for the house. So far, I have 6 dolls and there's so much pattern to make! I wanna make your 3 little pigs and the wolf but I only know how to knit one stitch 😅. Please do continue to inspire us. I will definitely learn to knit next year. Thank you again
That's awesome!! So glad you came back to amigurumi! So much fun to make! I admire your skill for sewing! That's something I would like to get better at! 🧶🧶🧶
@@EliseRoseCrochet just like crochet need to do it once a week or every day if can. My straight lines are still not straight but people won't inspect my curtains' seams, would they?
This year I crocheted multiple baby Afghans, 7 different dresses 3 cardigan sweaters, all matching bonnets, bootie sock shoes, 3 christmas cocoons , twisted ear warmers, headbands, messy bun hats, and my great granddaughters Christmas dress just trim rows too finish and button. And using the gifted granny squares from my sister into bum bags. I'm having too buy zippers for them too be finished and will try making matching balaclava / hood. And will make up multiple doll bodies and Valentine hearts , heart bum bags and heart scarves, then Easter baskets, bunnies ,chics and eggs. And try making photo prop outfits for both greater grand daughter and great grand nephew. 2 blessings. Making more items too sell for their futures.
I think I only made 8 toys this year. I've had to cut back due to neck issues and carpal tunnel. But I don't love it any less! My favorite toy this year was Fiona Goble's knitted Frankenstein monster. I think he's so cute! Always love your videos!! Thanks Elise for inspiring me and making me not feel like a weird person for making all these toys.
Haha!! All of us weirdos need to stick together!! 😂 I'm sorry you've been dealing with neck issues and carpal tunnel, ouch!!! I hope you feel better soon!! 🙏
Oh my love all your projects especially the Selbu mittens. I can see why you put them first on your makes. I am still working and didn’t think I had accomplished much either but went back and counted 15 completed projects from knitting, crocheting, weaving, quilting, sewing and cross stitch. Can’t wait to get your new cat pattern!! Merry Christmas 🎄
Hi Elise Thank you for sharing all your makes… they are all beautiful! I’ve done less than 10 items before losing my crojo! So, after watching one of your tutorials it motivated me to try something different and that was loom knitting for me…I managed to make a scarf using the figure 8 stitch well I think that’s what it’s called and I’m please at my first attempt... I gave it to my Nana 😊 I’ve only just got my crojo back and I managed to whip up a couple of Christmas pouches, I’m hoping to finish a c2c elephant blowing bubbles baby blanket, a daisy granny square bag, and a scarf by Christmas to gift. And a couple of Christmas trees 🎄as decoration for the festive season. Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas 🎄🎅🏼🤶🏼☃️😻 Take care and stay safe and warm. God’s blessings 🙏🏼💗😊🧶
I'm so glad you got your crojo back and loom knitting sounds like so much fun!! You've been very productive too!! Your elephant baby blanket sounds amazing!! Thanks so much for all your support!! 🧶🧶🧶
@@EliseRoseCrochet Thank you for being the wonderful person you are…I’m glad I stumbled onto your channel a few months back! The blanket is a pattern by Knot My Design. I look forward to commencing maybe this weekend. Take care 💗😊
Wow! I went back to my photos and I’ve made 19 amigurumi! 1 hat brim ( re-knitted for better fit) and 2 sweaters in progress, 1 will be done soon. Thank you for both inspiring me this year (hard to imagine I just found you) and for suggesting looking to see how many items were made. I didn’t think I’d really done much at all. Seems I’m a holiday maker - lol - for the majority of my makes. My favorite was a giraffe with a ballerina tutu ( inspired from your frog tutu) for one of my granddaughters after her first big ballerina show at the theater. She’s 4 and loves giraffes. Best reaction ever❤ I can’t wait for your kitty pattern! Oh! I love your new knitting projects, your color work is gorgeous ❤
What a lovely video! I love seeing all your creations. I’ve been knitting and crocheting casually for a long time but 2022 was the year I really got inspired. I did a ton of amigurumi and I’m having so much fun with it. I’m excited for more fun projects in 2023. P.s. I’m named Elise also!
According to my Ravelry challenge count, I completed 66. Some of these are small, like washcloths or squares for warm up America. The balance are items for charity shawls and lapghans. I also completed a few amigurumi. I think my favorite is the Granny meets Virus shawl, merge of 2 of my favorite patterns. Another would be a blanket I made for my great-nephew.
@@EliseRoseCrochet I won’t do 3 again. I started mine then my sister and niece each wanted one. I started first day of spring to first day of spring. One row a night 3 times. Haha but they did turn out nice.
I think I might be over 100 projects... But so much fun to make them because since a few month a really believe I found my own univers but writing my own patterns!
Hi i live in uk England i have just started Amigrumi couple of weeks ago i have been trying to look for free patterns because i don't know if i can crochet dolls animals but i love your doll with cats ears and rust brown dress i have been watching your videos to 😍
My goal was to learn to knit toys and I did make quite a few ☺️ this year. For the upcoming year I want to knit the toad and frog toys😵💫 and learn to make a sweater. Your videos have given me so may ideas , I’ve made a lot from your suggestions. Happy Christmas…. Karen from Greenleaf Idaho☺️🎄🎄
Hi Elise, I happened upon your channel today and am now a new subscriber from Midwest City, Oklahoma. Your channel is very informative and is truly an inspiration. I've been crocheting since the 80's, when I was in my 20's. I've put it down for a while due to life, but always picked it back up to help me thru some stress I was dealing with. Now, I just make projects to keep my rheumatoid arthritic hands busy and I'm going to look into those charities near me that would like something I've crocheted. The thought of helping a cancer patient with a nice cap, a blanket for a needy child or fur baby, and maybe finding something else that is wanted here in my state. Thanks so much for sharing yourself and crafting ideas. I can't wait for your next video. BTW my late mother's name was Elise. (I'm curious how you got your name???) Lisa
Thank you so much!! I typically post videos every Saturday, but I'm taking a little break for the holidays! My parents loved the Beethoven piece Fur Elise and that how I got my name! ❤️❤️❤️
I made quite a few tiny makes. Lots of ornaments. My favorite make this year was probably the Luna Lovegood Marathon crochet along. I have a severe nerve condition and it had a tight time crunch so in all honesty it was not a smart choice to do this, BUT, she turned out beautiful and I love her. I know that we are running out of time this year but I was wondering if you could make a top 10 books you would recommend?
Bless your heart, sounds like your Luna turned out amazing! She's one of my favorite characters! Thank you for the video suggestion!! It's a fantastic idea!! 🧶🧶🧶
I made 70 things in Ravelry, but I made 20 angels and that was one project in Ravelry and I made over 20 washcloths which is also one project in Ravelry.
Ok, so I just picked up my hooks for the first time in years. Started in October and I've made two afghans, two sweaters for myself, 3 small baskets, and one large basket. I have to weave ends in on one of the sweaters and I want to make one more basket for a xmas gift. My goal for 2023 is to try my hand at arigarumi.
@@EliseRoseCrochet My craft of choice is pottery but the studio I use closed for remodel right when I was retiring so I've ended with a lot of time on my hands. Pottery starts again in January but I plan to keep crocheting too.
I just found your channel. I love what you do. I need your help I am looking for granny square you used on a blanket. It's on the top shelf over your left side. It Grey foundation color. Thanks for all you do. Love it.
Thank you! 💞 It's from this book: amzn.to/3vbIj5x I changed the colors and made it into a table runner. This is the yarn I used: www.lovecrafts.com/en-us/p/paintbox-yarns-cotton-dk?a_aid=78bd585e Hope that helps!! ❤

I crocheted 7 amigurumi dolls for the charity, Feel Better Friends Dolls. I crocheted 19 other amigurumi projects for gifts or for a CAL. Then there were 2 baby afghans. I guess that's 28 that I rememembered to photograph. No knitting this year. It is nice to take a year end inventory isn't it?
Thanks to you,I've discovered a love for norwegian yarn crafts and all things norwegian, including a TH-cam channel by Cecilia Blomdahl. She lives in an island owned by Norway near the north pole....her Channel helped me appreciate my own Canadian winter landscape. Thanks for leading me down a rabbit hole!
@@EliseRoseCrochet it's so relaxing with the arctic views and her energy is so positive! I think you'd love it. Thanks for the great content this year, Elise! It is a real blessing.
Ta heaps and heaps for sharing all your beautiful works of art u made. U r so talented plus u put in so much time and hard work and love into everything.💗🧶 But where is the little grey cat?🐈U need the little grey cat for u and your cat lady. 💗🙏
I've made 6 12in Xmas trees, 9 baby blankets, 7 large afghans, 8 dishcloths and 10 potholders. And I've knitted 2 beanies. Wow, I didn't realize I made that much. It's no wonder my hands hurt. 🤣
I did 32 different objects, plushies this year. I did some of them multiply times so maybe 50? I am not sure... It was so nice to see the things that you made this year!
I have been so afraid to make any of these that I really just end up watching you! Perhaps 2023 will be my year
I came up with 159 objects made this year, knit, crochet and sewing, mostly for dolls. I had no idea!
Oh my goodness!!! That is incredible!!!!! 👏👏👏
Wow what an acheivement
I'm a crocheter. In 2022, I made 3 afghans for family members and 11 amigurumi (Batman, Pooh, Tigger, et al) for my grandsons. I've got a Nativity set in progress that I hope to have finished before Christmas. Unless I find an afghan pattern that's irresistible, I don't think I'll make another afghan. It takes too long and gets boring. I prefer working on amigurumi or smaller items like table runners or coasters.
Oh how fun!! You've had a very productive year!! And I agree about afghans. They take sooooo long for me to make. 🧶🧶🧶
FINALLY everyone is grown up, stable, responsible and I get to touch yarn almost every day that I want to
What a wonderful way to look at it!! Thank you so much for sharing your journey! 🧶🧶🧶
Wow!!!! That's a lot!! You've been very busy! It really is fun to look back at everything! Thanks for sharing! 💞
You had a very productive year!! I want to have that many knitted socks some day!! 🧶🧦🧶🧦🧶
Most of them were gifts, but some day I would love to have a slew of them like The Crazy Sock Lady has in her stash lol

I do a lot of knitted and crochet for newborns in need. I also make dogsweaters for a rescue shelter. I'd say about 100 small items. I didn't count. I'm retired so I've done more then I've ever done. I really enjoyed your content, thanks for posting. love everything you made.
That's amazing!! ⭐ Thanks for sharing what you're doing! 👏
Wow!! You did crochet a lot in 2022! Thanks for sharing! 🧶🧶🧶
I just learned to knit mid year. I finished two scarves, a shawl, a blanket, and I have WIPs. Then last month I learned to crochet, and my first project was an amigurumi teddy bear, then I've made some granny squares. You and I are the same age, and you're right. It feels good to have new passions.
Wow!!! I'm so impressed with how much you've made in such a short amount of time!! 🧶🧶
Thank you, so much. You were my inspiration to learn crochet!
Fun stuff!!
You are a rock star, Jim!!!!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I have lost count, but many dozens of small doll items for an Appalachian children's charity. The dolls are purchased then I add the clothes, blankets a tiny pillow etc.
That is amazing! Thanks for sharing!! 🧶🧶🧶

Oh wow!!! You've been a busy lady! ❤️
You have inspired me to crochet. I'm starting with the cataster pattern I'm doing from your video to practice. I see you crochet the little sweet fox doll and I bought that pattern last year but never made it. Finding you and your beautiful work has inspired me to sharpen my skills. Than you.

Oh well. 🌷❄️
Awwww! That really makes me happy!! I know how much joy crocheting and knitting bring me, so I'm happy that you're enjoying it as well! 🧶🧶🧶
How fun!!! Congratulations on the new twins in the family! How exciting!! 🧶🧶

That is awesome!! 👏👏👏 Congratulations to you for not giving up!!! ❤️

Wow!!! You have made so many things!! And how wonderful that you're using your skills to give to others. 🧶🧶🧶

Vert nice makes! I've been spinning yarn most of the year and have made lots of hanks. I finished a basic ripple blanket for my nephew for Christmas that I'm really loving due to the color work in it, 5 different colors with a really nifty repeat sequence. First time I've really played with color so much. I have lots of left over yarn, I think I'm going to crochet a sweater for my 🐶 that would be another First for me
Oooh! Your blanket sounds amazing!! And yes, your dog needs a sweater, lol!! 💛
taught myself how to crochet the day before thanksgiving.
That's amazing!!! Congratulations on learning crochet and jumping right in!! 🧶🧶🧶

Wow!!!!! That is incredible!!!!! Congratulations on all your success!! 👏👏👏
I sew too.

I started amigurumi recently and I am making a rabbit display for the New Year.
Hello! Thank you so much for sharing!! Your project sounds amazing!! ⭐
Thank you so much for sharing!! I can imagine making big warm blankets wouldn't be much fun if you didn't have air conditioning!! 🧶🧶

Every day when I finish something, I note it in my day planner. I make a lot of little items. Sometimes I finish multiple items per day. I average over 30 items per month, but that includes a lot of stuff like little egg scrubbies that I send with Etsy orders as a surprise gift.
Holy moly!!! That's amazing!! That's such a great idea to keep track of everything you make! 🧶🧶🧶
What a wonderful video!!! All your makes are adorable and I so enjoyed strolling down memory lane with you! xoxo

Wow!!!!! You have been very productive!!! 🧶👏🧶👏🧶👏
Wow!!! Thanks so much for sharing!! I have always wished I could quilt!!! 🧵🪡
Hi Elise
Thank you for sharing all your makes… they are all beautiful! I’ve done less than 10 items before losing my crojo! So, after watching one of your tutorials it motivated me to try something different and that was loom knitting for me…I managed to make a scarf using the figure 8 stitch well I think that’s what it’s called and I’m please at my first attempt... I gave it to my Nana 😊
I’ve only just got my crojo back and I managed to whip up a couple of Christmas pouches, I’m hoping to finish a c2c elephant blowing bubbles baby blanket, a daisy granny square bag, and a scarf by Christmas to gift. And a couple of Christmas trees 🎄as decoration for the festive season.
Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas 🎄🎅🏼🤶🏼☃️😻
Take care and stay safe and warm.
How adorable!!!! What a lucky granddaughter!!! My two girls danced when they were little and that brings back so many good memories!! 💖💖💖
I love your makes. Thanks!❤️🎄
Thank you so much! 🧶🧶🧶
I never thought of counting! Just go from one to the next. Can you direct me to the pattern for the drummer? My daughter will love this.
Yes!! It's fun to look back! There are links to everything in the description box!! It's a great pattern! 🥁🥁🥁
Hello, Elise! ❤️ I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! Sounds like you're having as much fun as I am crocheting and knitting! 🧶🧶🧶
That is amazing!!! You've been very busy!! 👏👏👏
Hello Elise 👋. I'm a crocheted. A sewer and a grandmother of 3 grandchildren how love to make things. I last trac.
Thanks so much for sharing, Deb! It is so hard to keep track of everything!! 🧶
Thanks for sharing looking forward to more videos
Thank you so much! 🧶🧶🧶
I have done 30 so far. 3 were amigurumi the rest socks, purses, tops, shawls, garlands and 3 year long temperature blankets.
Oh wow!! 3 temperature blankets!! I've always wanted to do one of those!! 🧶🧶🧶
That's wonderful!!! Congratulations!! 🧶🧶🧶
Hi i live in uk England i have just started Amigrumi couple of weeks ago i have been trying to look for free patterns because i don't know if i can crochet dolls animals but i love your doll with cats ears and rust brown dress i have been watching your videos to 😍
Thank you!! 🧶🧶🧶
That's amazing, Karen! 👏👏👏 You will totally be able to knit Frog and Toad this year!! 🧶🧶🧶
Wow!!!! That's amazing!! Thanks so much for sharing!! 🧶🧶🧶
Wow!!! You have been so productive in such a short amount of time!! 😱

Wow!! That's amazing!! Thank you so much for sharing what you've done this year! It really is fun to look back! ❤️❤️❤️
Oh that's awesome!! I will have to check out that channel!! Thanks for sharing!! ✨🧶🎄

I've made 6 12in Xmas trees, 9 baby blankets, 7 large afghans, 8 dishcloths and 10 potholders. And I've knitted 2 beanies. Wow, I didn't realize I made that much. It's no wonder my hands hurt. 🤣
Wow!!! It really is amazing when you look back through an entire year and remember all that you made!! 🧶🧶🧶
I did 32 different objects, plushies this year. I did some of them multiply times so maybe 50? I am not sure... It was so nice to see the things that you made this year!
