Dark Souls II - Queen of Drangleic (Extended)

Not too bad, me thinks :P
Dark Souls II was nowhere near bad, but it just didn't stand much as a sequel.
The music itself, although with much more tracks, is not as remarkable as the first one, even though it's the very same composer!
This is one that caught my attention, and it sadly plays just as an intro to Nashandra's boss fight. I get that her theme also has parts of this, but I REALLY liked the piano here, the way it sounds grand and somewhat proud. Perhaps...?

Initially, seeing her for the first time in her true raw form, I thought that she's actually a reincarnation of Nito and not Manus. She just generally looked like Death, the grim reaper, and her narrative kinda correlated to it. But... Then I remembered that we already have a reborn Nito which is The Rotten.

Remember that Nashandra is a fragment of Manus ? Well those fragments all got "inspiration" from Dusk of Oolacile, to take a new form with which thet could, uh, infiltrate? the world whitout being noticed
All Queens must have looked like Dusk in some way

@@bacicinvatteneaca Interesting but no, all the Queens/Daughters of Darkness are explicitly said to be born from the Ancient of the Abyss, who is obviously Manus. They're all a reincarnation of one of his emotions (Hatred/Elana, Want/Nashandra, Loneliness/Nadalia and Fear/Alsanna)

Underrated track.
Dark Souls 2 has some great tracks like the Old Dragon Slayer, Ruin Sentinels, Skeleton Lords and Sir Alonne. Too bad some of the awesome tracks went to bad bosses. Like how in the hell did the Skeleton Lords get such a good track?

I also just realized that this track is kinda unused? The small part of it plays in Nishandra's theme, but why the hell didn't they use the full track when you first meet her in the castle? That would've added so much weight to the encounter...

@@FireStarJutsu They don't use music in normal playthrough, I think they should, but they only compose music for bossfights (every souls game does that I think)

@@Omega-AlexGt They do in some special areas. Like Firelink Shrine and Majula being the hubs, but they have done it outside of hubs like when you meet Gwynevere. Meeting her had a big impact because not only did you meet her after the notorious O&S, but you get a holy like soundtrack.
They could have done something similar with putting this soundtrack while you meet the Drangleic Queen. Like it plays everytime you're in the room just like Gwynevere. It would've added more weight to Nashandra's character I feel like. Actually, now that I think about it. They did this with King Vendrick! Why didn't they do the same with Nashandra? Missed opportunity IMO...
