The lyrics they're singing is an ancient healing spell.
That makes sense, considering their name means "healing". Thanks.
However, if I were an ancient Roman, I would think they're cursing my people with dark, barbarian magic:)

@@teddyneptunereacts0396 Yeah, it's one of two pagan incantations found in a book in a monastery in the German city of Merseburg, in old high German language. The full text goes:
Phôl ende Wuodan fuorun zi holza.
dû wart demo balderes folon sîn fuoz birenkit.
thû biguol en Sinthgunt, Sunna era swister;
thû biguol en Frîja, Folla era swister;
thû biguol en Wuodan, sô hê wola conda:
sôse bênrenki, sôse bluotrenki,
sôse lidirenki:
bên zi bêna, bluot zi bluoda,
lid zi geliden, sôse gelîmida sîn.
Which translates as:
Phol and Woden (Odin) went to the woods.
There Balder's horse got it's leg broken.
Now Sinthgunt, Sunna's sister chanted (a healing spell).
Now Frija, Folla's sister chanted.
Now Woden chanted as only he could:
Wether bone is broken, wether blood is spilled,
Wether limb is broken:
Bone to bone, blood to blood,
Limb to limb, as if it has been glued.
The album version of Hamrer Hippyer also has the first part of the incantation in it. ;)

the guy that starts singing at 7:18 does use one effect: reverb. That's kind of the echoing melancholic vibe he gives to his voice. The tones and the use of it is all him. No pitch shifters, no autotune. Just reverb.
Imagine having such voice control. Maria Franz (the woman with the antlers) is the only one in that band to top that.

They are so amazing
Its just his Voice. they are all very talented in replicating Animal or very ghostly sounds but im still very impressed by there phenomenal throat singing.
I think there is a soft echoing effect on it. You can hear it when he already pulls away from the mic.

First line is in Icelandic.
The next three lines are in Old High German.
Last line is in Old Norse.
And here’s my dumb ass trying to figure out which of the 3 languages they sing in. But now they’re singing in all of them. Goodness...
I'd change the first line from "Hanga dýra mingja" to "hangatýr hamingja", so that Hangatýr is Óðinn who is mentioned in the Merseburg incantations, Hamingja is Luck and Good Fortune in Old Norse; at the end of the "hangatýr hamingja" series there is Ramr (strength - old Norse)

The music of Heilung takes on a whole different dimension after taking about 3g of dried Shrooms. Then you become part of a Shaman ritual.
Not visitors, just the crowd. This was performed at Castlefest, which I believe is a 4 day Dutch fantasy and music festival.
It's a very ancient chant from northern europe about healing of a broken body and it's a powerful version. I love Heilung .
Enchanting, gorgeous, epic, eternal, & sublime.
Just thought I'd point this out the languages in this song our Old High German, and Icelandic.

Thank you too. I sometimes feel a little guilty of being too passive when reacting. While I want to authentic, thus no unnecessary talking, I will have to stop or comment every once in a while to give an actual reaction.

Well, I had to change that old approach (as you can see in this video) for reasons such as copyright and to avoid my videos from being basically re-uploads of other people's work. While I still try to be as close to the real matter, I am pausing every once in a while in my videos nowadays.
