when you weave magic, you raise the energy FIRST(sometimes called the cone of power) and 2ND you direct the energy by your will , this song says skin to skin, blood to blood, bone to bone, it must be a healing chant

Hello ... I tell you some things and curiosities about Hamrer Hippyer.
    [hangatýr hamingja]
    sôse benrenkî,
    sôse bluotrenkî,
    sôse lidirenkî;
    ben zi bena,
    bluot zi bluoda,
    lid zi gelidin,
    sôse gelîmida
    sîn
    Gelidin
    [Alu Is Urki]
[God of hanged men - Guardian spirits of good luck]
    Like bone-sprain,
    so blood-sprain,
    so joint-sprain:
    Bone to bone,
    blood to blood,
    joints to joints,
    so may they be mended.
    Joints
    [Protection against the wrong-doer]
Lines in [square brackets] are only a suggestion. Since there is no official text of this song. They might be incorrect. First line is in Icelandic. The next three lines are in Old High German. Last line is in Old Norse. In Norse mythology, Hangatýr was one of many names for Odin, translated as the "Hanged God", a reference to his ordeal upon the World Tree, and also translated as the "God of Hanged men". The Hamingja was a kind of female guardian angel in Norse mythology. It was believed that she accompanied a person and decided their luck and happiness. Consequently, the name was also used to indicate happiness, and that is what it means in modern Icelandic. When a person died, the hamingja passed to a beloved family member and thus accompanied a family for several generations, continuing to influence their fortunes.
    A hug.

I think it's more like "hanged god" than "god of hanged men." It's a reference to Odin being hanged on the tree and losing his eye in exchange for wisdom.

Hey! "Benrenki" and "ben zi bena" have nothing to do with bones, it's legs that are being talked about. It's said that Odin used this incantation after Baldr's horse dislocated her foot.

The beginning part for me was a way expressing the torment of what led up to the broken bones, alongside the pain and torture that comes from mending broken bones. In those days, there was no anesthetic or surgical tools. The process of setting bones and mending them was sheer agony.

Probably the best song of the LIFA live at Castlefest concert. Or is In Maidjan?
If you want to get in a trance, listen to this song.
The left male singer and Maria both perform in the band Euzen.
Judged by, is a good song.

It's so good seeing you getting into a trance like situation. I see you struggle and fight against it :). Being a man of ratio... I still do believe this music / chant / prayer might really be helpful for the patient's mood while his wounds were being treated.

If this song and alfadirhaiti are the only 2 you’ve listened to.... you should experience there slower tempo where you can appreciate her vocals....You comment on their having bones on stage.. she plays bones on Krigsgaldr and the song has English lyrics in a large part of it. I would love to get your reaction to it since it’s different.
Or she also shines on In Maidjian and the second part is truly chill.

The first part is a trance to create a powerful space charged with the right energy to heal. To open a canal for divine power to interact with the ritual. Then there comes a prayer/order to mend and heal whoever or whatever needs healing through magic. They are actually pleading and concentrating energy on solve-heal-fix-mend someone or a creature that has been fataly wounded. As if they want to rearrange cells, energy, blood, bone, ligaments to get to their original healthy state. It's so beautiful, so powerful. At the end he thanks and says something along the lines of: so it may help you.

How I interpret it, is as a whole of the performance that day, it tells a story: from creation to mankind to warriors defending their homes, to a group of man that loses a few to arrows, the victory over the romans in the carpathian forest, and then: this song. 'hang the animals' they sing. 'bone for a bone' 'blood for blood'. They are talking about taking revenge on the romans. They want to hang the romans, one by one, at least as many as they lost kinsmen. 'that our wounds may heal'. then they say: 'might this story be off help' and then the story is over.

    • @Wveth

They aren't saying "hang the animals," they're saying "hanged god," a reference to Odin. And it's not "blood for blood, bone for bone" it's "blood TO blood, bone TO bone." It's a healing chant. Also the album is about a peaceful village corrupted by war. The full story is interesting, you should check it out.
