Having previously relied on a combination of TP-Link Powerline and Deco E4 which did not provide sufficient range or performance since upgrading my broadband, I removed it and added a new network using two M4s, one upstairs connected to the router and the second downstairs. With this working I then did a re-set on the E4s before then connecting them wirelessly to the new network. Brilliant improvement all due to your video. Many thanks, Glenn.
My decco has a wierd problem, so i have 3 pack M4 decco and for some reason only the main decco give 300 Mbps speed and the rest just have 25 Mbps. I don't know what the problem is considered the deccos are just 20 to 30 steps away from each other. Another problem is that only my PC picks up 300mbps and no other device even phones only pick 200 to a 100 max . Very strange. I bought this to solve my homes wifi dead zone problem, but the problem is still there. I might just start installing a router in ever room of my house.
Can I setup the initial deco E4 via wireless? Cause the instruction provided was connect the deco via wired for the first unit. If thats the case, then I’m limited to a 100mbps connection down the line?
You are limited to 100mbps that's why I used a different model of deco for Main connection on this video. The first deco can only be connected to the internet router via ethernet cable/wired and not wireless.
Hey just have a question, can wireless and wired backhaul be mixed? I have 3 deco e4's and 1 s4. I use the e4 as the main, 1 s4 in the kitchen downstairs, an e4 at the backyard and the last e4 at the guest house in the backyard. I want to connect the main deco to the one at the backyard through wired backhaul, would that still act as a wireless backhaul for the guest house deco?

Wow TP-Link is very misleading! I have the E4 and couldn’t understand why I wasn’t getting more than 90 speed. Would it work if I get 1 M4 router up in my office and have the E4 routers around the house? My main router is down in the basement and my office is 2 floors up. Appreciate any advice
I used Deco X20 as the main (wired to the router) and the 2nd node E4 WIRELESS you can get more than 90 mbps. Try. Note E4 when wired is capped at 100mbps.

Hi sir, my question is, if i have an 200 Mbps internet connection and its connected to the deco M4 as primary and 3 - deco E4 as satellites in my home, do i will receive the same speed in all deco or different less speed ?
Yes. Will decrrase ofcourse as ypu go further away, but they will not be limited to 100mbps only if you use wifi. Only E4s ethernet port is limited to 100mbps
All others are via wifi because wifi can go 5g meaning super fast speed. Only the ethernet port is the slow ones in E4 hence you will have to use plugged to main router. Because it has gigabit ethernet
I have purchased the Deco S4 three pack and am getting a pretty good internet speed (Ethernet is the fastest in Australia at 100/20 Mbps and three floors down under the apartment complex I’m getting 50/10 Mbps. So internet is good, and I can control my PC using Virtual Desktop on my Quest 3. But my WiFi speed is -40dBm. This is apparently not a strong enough signal for PCVR games using Quest Link. Are Deco S4 antennas too weak? The three pack only cost $160 on Amazon. I saw some newer Decos for over $1000. Would they improve the signal? Is there something more I can do to fix what I already have? PCVR does work properly in my apartment but not 3 floors down under the carport, whereas Virtual Desktop works (although I haven’t tested Premiere Pro through VD yet).
Hi sorry dumb question. When i remove the ethernet cable between the main deco to the modem the internet is lost. I thought this means 2 mesh plus 1 modem to cover larger area? Thank you!

Yes. That's how I have mine too. Only the main one is plugged via ethernet to my providers router then every other ones are just wirelessly connected to it

Yes. Thats why you have to get a better one that has a gigabit port as your main deco. Then wifi can go faster as well not limited to megabit ethernet only like that

It will only work if connected wirelessly from M4 as main to E4. Kapag wired naman from m4 to e4 100 lang ang max. Much better at stable siyempre ang wired lalo na kapag marami interference sa bahay like microwave oven etc but to dahil bottleneck ang fast ethernet port ng e4 connected from gigabit ng m4 talagang wireless connection ang gagawin mo.
Maybe your internet is slow? Thought take note E4's only got 100 mbps ethernet port and not a gigabit hence I recommended getting another model with a gigabit port as main deco

I guess the first Ethernet connected Deco will give me 54 as well, then the second about 20, then the third about 5. Not great, but better than before. I need to go around a concrete building to the middle of the carport under the apartment building.

There is. Both are enabled by default but you can simply disable one if you like. It's available on the app

Main deco shoud always be connected to the isp modem. Then every other deco can connect wirelessly to the main one

ISP router to M4 via ethernet then that M4 to the rest of yoyr decos such as E4 wirelessly. Yes you will get your speed

Just download ng tp-link deco app and it will guide you on setup and how to reset them as well

Try to factory reset them all and uninstall ypur Deco App and redo everything
