Hey Alex, just watching your new prop jet video. Many thanks indeed for your encouragement. I appreciate it. The ME 262 , prior to the crash, flew very well, even without a camera & in the wind. It is not as fast as the A-10 & handles similar. The strong wind has returned so i cannot check it out in calmer weather, but it will come.
Very lucky you found her in the thick bush Noel and useing the motor as a location beacon was good thinking, oh she was flying so well and very little damage....jeff.
Hi Jeff, just been watching the Solent & hovercraft depart from Cowes. Yes i am so glad i could hear it in the dense scrub and THEN to find the camera…. Amazing! Too much wind over the dunes for such a small aircraft, as you would know!
Very lucky on many counts, Noel! Some of these UMX models just aren't suited to carrying cameras and the 262 looks like one of them. I hope you have a less eventful flight next time out with this rocket ship.
Interesting about the whales Noel. That was a great first flight. Looks like there is little damage, and you found your camera...worked out! Looking at the on board footage its really good you cut the throttle.
Yes it certainly was Adam. I think the weight of the camera & gusty wind attributed to the crash. You should have seen the cuts on my hands 😜🤪. How i ever found it was amazing. Thank you mate. Did you see the windmill at the end?
G’day Helmut, i have used a ‘tile’ bluetooth tracker but the signal distance is so limited & even the beeping sound would not have been heard over the wind plus the weight on the small aircraft. The best one on larger models is the apple airtag as a powerful tracker.

I use a beeper with own small lipo, you are soo lucky to find her
