    I ordered one of these for my Arteon. Having to press that start stop button ever single time literally drives me up a wall. Thanks so much!

    You should do an update video summarizing all mods, parts you didnt like and removed, etc.

    I fitted one to my 2018 GTI I bought from Ali baba a few months ago…… easy quick install and super cheap

    Great video. I just got a mk7.5 and this is the first thing I’m doing!

    Have you installed any other function button in the other empty slots? I was looking to retrofit park assist in my car but my car has ventilated seats function in the place where park assist is. The issue here is the switch panel that comes with park assist has no ventilated seats button but has an empty slot. Is it possible to move the switch to empty slot and still make it do its job?

    Nice! - that's exactly they way i want my stop/start deactivated. I've been meaning to get round to sorting it out for a while as even 2 years on it still bugs the crap outta me!

    Bro, nice mod. I got my Start-Stop deactivated with my Custom stage 2 tune ages ago. Initially I had to get used to NOT pressing the button after engine start... LOL. We are beings of habit..

    I was been able to turn mine off with autel obd scanner, I've tried to turn it off with both obdeleven and carly and it did not work. the only difference i have is mine button doesn’t light up orange and just stays white at all the time.

    • @GTI_CHHA
      @GTI_CHHA 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think mine also stays on white, got to check this....

    Awesome! this feature has been bugging me ever since I got my new GTI! I live in a pretty hot climate, so when I forget to press the button to turn it off my AC stops being cold at stoplights... This little thing shouldn't impact the warranty, right? Thank you for sharing such an easy fix!

  • @Michael-kd4oi

    That’s so cool!!! Oh I love that there are so many things for the mk7. I probably won’t do this since I already have OBD11 but I will keep this in mind if I have any issues in the future.

    • @LastHumansGarage
      @LastHumansGarage  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      hey if OBD works with no lights, might as well. i didnt know you could do it with ODB11 with no drawbacks, but i dont have one anyway. i use vagcom

    The first few seconds had me wondering if you were wearing a yarmulke. HAHA! It took until your test for me to figure out what that mod was doing. Consider adding "automatic" or "auto" in the title to clear things up. My car does not feature the auto-stop/start function, either because the car is too old or manual transmissions don't have it. Do any manuals have it? BTW, Taos is pronounced "Touse," rhymes with house. Good to finally see one of your videos in my feed again. Take Care!

    Totally un necessary! Short tip for the same result for free ! 😀 step 1 : Disable the seatbelt alarm , Step 2 : drive without seatbelt- the start stop function is enabled only when the seatbelt is on, and real life scenario, for the short trips no one use the seatbelt unless you have an annoying sound to bother you...since the sound is not there you can just enjoy the freedom of the start stop system that is a failure of fuel economy to start with . Cheers and you're welcome !

    Or you can just get the manual GTI and save all around. But for those that have dsg it might be worth it.
