    I work with a lot of waterslides, so to stop the lines on your water slide, when you go to print and go to make it, when you see the "Use system dialog", select that to make it turn green and then hit "print", another box will pop up. Select "Preferences". Another box opens up, then change paper type in the drop-down to "Matte" and change the quality in the drop-down below that to "High". I promise you, your lines will not be there anymore. You'll have to do this each time, OR set it as a "preset", then when you go in again, you can just select the "preset". I hope that helps. Also, if anyone is having an issue with it tearing when you're applying it, you can also apply a thin coat of Plasti- dip glossifier and then another thin layer of the other spray and it will make it almost like a gel and makes it thicker and more forgiving.

    I LOVE this video! Thank you for sharing. "Dishwasher safe mod podge" should work. After you have placed the image on the plastic or porceline cup (after it dries) then go over it with the dishwasher safe mod podge and let dry. It keeps the colors and prevents image from scraping off.

    Hello Ms. Charmaine I had the same problem with the Cricut not reading the lines on my water slide paper because its shiny after spraying it, I found after messing around with it a little if you cover the registration lines with regular scotch tape all the way around it makes the line look dull, I tried cutting again and it worked. Hope this helps you. Love your videos and learning from you.

    Awesome! Thanks for this tutorial. I’ve been looking for some help with waterslide decals. I took a chance and bought some waterslide paper from Shien or TEMU… to try it out before buying the more expensive paper (yeah, I hope it works-buying inexpensive stuff is still wasteful if it doesn’t work)! But I don’t ever sell my ‘practice materials’.
    Now I feel like I can buy from your list and start printing my designs w/ my mini logos.
    Thanks again!!❤

    I love the videos. Its real. I know why there are creases on the pic, its the curve of the glass and cup. In Silhouette and Circuit programs you can adjust the design so it curves naturally. But i think its in the business license. It lets you measure the bottom, middle and top of your glass, cup or bottle and the program adjust the pic accordingly. If you do not have business addition you have to use a scissors cutting small cuts between the design. Works just as good.

    Great video... Your image is mirrored and I love the way you did that but when you sprayed it you are spraying the part that touches the cup. what is going to stop the front from bleeding since you did not spray that side? Or does it matter?

    • @kaycadette
      @kaycadette 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Theresa, it doesn't matter because it's the "ink" that you are preserving, not the plastic. Hope that helps...a year later.

    Next time you can cut with your Cricut then spray with the acrylic spray. The spray maybe hindering the machine from reading the registration marks.

    This is the same exact method used to make temporary tattoos! I have some I bought off AliExpress so I tried them on a cheese wiz jar & a plastic drinking cup, ran it under some warm water to soak the paper, slid it off & they stuck!😂

    Thanks! Mirroring is genius! I can't tell you how many times and waterslides that I wasted doing it the other way.

    I'm actually gonna be trying waterslide for the first time today and I love the idea of mirroring the image so you don't have to pull the backing out from under it but I'm wondering does it stay on as well that way? The warm water activates the adhesive which is on the side against the backing not on the front plus even if it was on both sides since you seal with spray before applying that would make a barrier between the adhesive and the cup anyway. So I'm just curious if it actually adheres well this way cuz it definitely makes it look so much easier and I would love to try it but don't want it to come off rather quickly instead of lasting a good while ya know? Like I said this is all new to me that is just something I read when studying the process for when my paper arrives today 😁 thank you for the video! You are awesome!!

    I don't know if you figured out about the print and cut with the waterslide, but it happened to me and what it is when you seal it, it covers the lines and the machine wont recognize it. So what someone told me to do, is place something over the lines before you spray...that works and another thing you can do, is get a black marker and go over the lines with the marker. I use a ruler and both methods have worked for me.

    I did some waterslide decals on my cricut where I did print & cut, I left everything on the sheet & sprayed the acrylic on the sheet w/the cut images when I was ready to use I cut the pieces off I wanted to use & applied to the tumbler.

    Good tutorial the only thin different I do is when i clean it up on Design Space I bring it to my MS Word and get more out of my paper and I print more images. When transferring over to word hit the no grid on your DS so when you transfer to word the lines wont be there.
