Harald, last year I traveled to Hanoi from New Zealand especially to take a class to learn to make Egg Coffee (Ca Phe Trung, they call it). I also learnt to make coconut coffee, it is simply devine. Hanoi is the home of this coffee, it originates from the Vietnam war, where milk was difficult for Vietnamese to get so they instead learnt to formulate egg to taste similar in texture and slightly sweeter than milk. It is very difficult to find this outside of Vietnam, but it is indeed something very amazing. Mucho respeto for trying something new, as you always do. Only the brave will lead the charge!

Why couldn't i comment directIly Im Indian... yes in India it's the opposite it's the women having to give dowry to the man in the past.(And still happens) The girl is educating herself and taken her job with so much passion. She's a good sales person and is eager to learn herself everyday.
That shop around 38:00 is full of interesting items but even more- interesting stories. And that is the real treasure there. It should be protected at all costs. There is a lot of history, wisdom, old craft, music and many other treasures in these stories that people often neglect and put simple price on. I'm guessing treasure cove like that might be great basis for fantastic documentaries.

Please please look into the ethics of Kopi Luwak. The animals (civets) are often kept inhumanely in cages and force fed coffee in order to produce it. I am a zoo keeper in the UK and used to work with civets and just wanted to raise awareness about it because it's a big issue.

Please please look into the ethics of Kopi Luwak. The animals (civets) are often kept inhumanely in cages and force fed coffee in order to produce it. I am a zoo keeper in the UK and used to work with civets and just wanted to raise awareness about it because it's a big issue.
