I honestly thought you were about to fall into a tourist trap when you met her at the bus station and I was so wrong. All she wanted was to show you her village and their way of life which is truely beautiful and magic. What a place and so alive. Nature, animals everywhere and all the people are so friendly. They are really living their best life up there. I hope you visit her again some day!

Yep, it's a pretty well known saying not to trust anyone that walks up to you on the street but this just shows how that (not necessarily unwise) pessimism can often lead to you missing out on incredible experiences in life. There's no scam or ill-will involved, just a genuine human being trying to make a living for their family.

Certain cultures have a scam mentality, south-east Asia generally has people who want to just do an honest day's work to make ends meet.

We can all learn from Harald, always give people a chance until they prove otherwise. You can ask about the price in advance and try for a couple days. If you are not happy then stop. For people from small town, there is not many ways to advertise their business, and the best way is to talk to potential customers like she did. Harald is really nice because he doesn’t judge people when he first meets them!!

Now that's how you travel. In Hawaii our tour guide invited me to his village, where we smoked pakalolo, and ate pig. Wouldn't recommend it, but local spots are a hidden treasure, at least in HI, glad I did!

@@donbraugh185 your not wrong. It’s according to the Bible. Compiled by the secondary Christian’s counsel, Catholics. I agree with you but I would challenge you to read the apocryphal texts and Samaritan texts. Take a look at the stone wall with the writings. You’ll find that it’s older than what Catholics gave us. Ethiopian Bible. It just makes one think a little bigger of how just how big our God is. I’m not saying I agree with all the older stuff. Just like we as Christian’s don’t follow everything in the Bible. But it broadens your mind and pulls you deeper to your own connection with what you believe who God is. Thx I enjoy these deep conversations if done respectfully.

What you found here, was the Vietnam I tried so hard to discover, but I could not find in Hanoi or Saigon. The peaceful people, the slower pace. I should have gone to the countryside. Thank you Harald.

Your original Vietnam series got me hooked on your channel. The path less traveled seems to always be the most beautiful and your work is proof of that. Thank you kind Nordsman for the adventures.

Never comment usually on your videos. But I’m a big fan. I enjoy travelling through you. It’s a great way to unwind after a day’s work.
So I’m commenting to help get this video some traction it may miss out on, because of the issues you laid out.
Go well, Harald and Mama Zee!
Edit: also, because you’ve explained how the algorithm works and how comments and likes help, I’ll be commenting more on your videos!

This is how a proper visit to some country like Vietnam should be, to see the real and a beautiful side among the simple people. I am not sure if anyone else beside our Haraldo on TH-cam is doing the same, and in all honesy, I don't even care, because Harald is doing it fantastically brilliant!! Thank you for giving us such precious videos Harald. Stay always safe!
