This was my very first video game. I remember racing against my dad, who was always crash, and I was always coco. This game gave me YEARS of enjoyment, especially when I played against my sister! (;
I would say yes because I'm a Sony fanboy but Mario has so many good titles like Super Mario World, Mario 64, Mario Galaxy and Odyssey. I mean Crash was never an open world adventure but Mario did that part so good. Mario and Crash both cherish a spot in my heart, although I never grew up with the N64 because at the time I chose the PlayStation over a N64 even when there weren't many games for it and the console was brand new at the time, it was a risk for me to choose that console over a Nintendo one because we all know how all consoles at the time failed to capture the quality of Nintendo. But damn, best decision I've ever made, I actually got a N64 like a decade after that and tbh I didn't miss much, most games are clones of Mario 64 like Banjo-Kazooie and Conker's Bad Fur Day. Butthe PlayStation has so many different type of games which Nintendo really didn't have at the time.

This is the best game i ever played! My chilhood is right here, thanks to Naugthy Dog for this incredible game and God also! So much good memories from this game. After 13 years i still know all the shortcuts! Amazing even when i didnt know english cuz im from Argentina! Someday i will complete it again to feel like a child again :) Crash you still being my idol!

The most fair, balanced, and non-bullshit kart racer ever made. All those chain nitro boost panels while power sliding were 10/10. At no point did I feel like a single item or character caused me to lose single-handedly like some other games.
This game was the highlight of my Christmas the year I got it. My parents bundled it with Spyro 2 after they had gotten me Crash 3 Warped and Spyro the Dragon for my Birthday the year prior. :3
If you do own a PSX, PS2 or PS3 you can get it quite cheaply on amazon or ebay. If not, I can recoment the PCSX Emulator. It atually pushes the graphics so everything looks smoother.

I always loved sewer speedway, I could re-lap the AI on a 5 lap race. My sister and I spent so much time figuring out all the shortcuts.
Most satisfying power slide mechanic in history. L1 causing controller rumbles with each turbo shot. Such a great GAME.
