A lot of games support and can run at 4K You can have games from 1999 the run support 4K and run on modern systems (for example Half-Life) A vast Majority of games available have a 4K resolution option with them. There are also cheap GPUs that support 4K such as a GeForce GTX 650 or an AMD Radeon HD 7700, with the right amount of ram, good selection of motherboard and CPU you can get a cheap gaming build capable of running some older/optimized games at a higher resolution or around 4K
This is the first video game I EVER played! My uncle gave it to me along with a PS1 as a birthday gift and I was obsessed with it. It's weird, I haven't played this since I was a kid but the moment I hear each song I somehow remember the level that it goes with as if I just played it yesterday! :)
Such a great soundtrack, there is something very interesting about the deep dark tones, bass and other tribal/synth sounds in some tracks, it has a very serious tone for a kids game (I remember of being scared in some levels), but each song is very remarkable .
This game is still one of the most awesome games. Ever. Like in the League with C&C RA1&2, GTA San Andreas, Sonic, and just classics like those in generall. When Gaming was more than just spray & pray. Listening to this gives me flashbacks of my childhood.
I used to play this game with my grandmother before she passed, i always had so much fun going to her house and playing this and spyro the dragon together.
Is it bad that I find this soundtrack pretty funny for the first 6 minutes or so? The wonderful Crash Bandicoot soundtrack! With such great tracks as: N.Sanity Beach on the menu! N.Sanity Beach on the map! N.Sanity Beach: ambient edition! And the beloved N.Sanity Beach!
I was listening to the soundtrack from the beginning and my wife got so fed up with that one song xD And then when the Aku-Aku song played and there was like half a second of N. Sanity beach, she gave me this look like 'I swear, this better not be another one of those'. It was awesome.
After my 100th or so time listening to this in the past two weeks, I just noticed that the time in the description for The Lost City/Sunset Vista is wrong. It's actually 32:58. Otherwise, thank you for this. This has to be one of my favorite game soundtracks that I've rediscovered because of this upload. You're awesome.

Today I did something I'm very proud of. Something I want to do for 16 years now, since I was 2 years old. I've beaten Slippery Climb. And without realizing it, I beat it without losing a life and getting all crates. And so I got a gem. This is also the first time I got more than 3 gems in my file. I first could only get the gems from N.Sanity Beach, Boulders and Hog Wild. And 5 minutes after I got the gem from Slippery Climb, I tried getting the gem from The Lab, and I did that on my first try. Also about Slippery Climb, it was a real struggle getting that gem. I think it almost took me 3 hours to do it. I also did it with a headache btw. But as a lifelong Crash Bandicoot fan, I am very proud of what I did today. I'm Always very good at all Crash Bandicoot games, and I've beaten Crash 2, 3 and CTR 100% way too many times in my life. But I really suck at getting gems in the Original Crash Bandicoot. Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy here I come! Oh yeah one more thing, now that I got those 2 new gems today, my file has 69%. And that really makes me happy for some reason.
I now feel my love for Crash Bandicoot when everyone else was decrying it as a poor man's Mario or Sonic is fully legitimised by how well the graphics have held up all these years, and the fantastic things Naughty Dog have went on to achieve, securing their place as the world's greatest game developer.
I have a vita, PS3 and PSP. I have many platforms to play this on Dragonaut111. The fact that is that we haven't had a proper Crash game since the PS2 which was Mind Over Mutants.
Remake will be a lot easier. I just hope that Slippery climb will be a lot more terrifying. Since the Savesystem will make it easy now. I Vote Stormy Ascent!!!! for Final Level before Cortex.
This is the first game I actually bought myself back in school(I was 10 at the time) - and the soundtrack simply astonished me. I actually had a chance to connect headphones to my TV, and enjoyed both game and the sound. Can't say that I had same feeling for any other PS1 game - even 2nd and 3rd installments of Crash.
It's an atmospheric patience and pattern game, sorta spiritual continuation of dkc. Every game's ost gets better by 3x when you play it, accompanying with visuals and sfx. Often games left out special frequencies for sfx. Game ost without sfx is hard to understand to me. I guess pong and atari 2600 are kinda literal. I am slightly shizo so maybe it sounds different to me.
Love this game's soundtrack even more than 2 and 3. 44:30 kind of levels intimidated me as a kid with all the computer sort of noises. It's very different than its sequels in that it uses a bunch of sound effects like drums and metal clangs mixed together to make songs. This makes the game much more atmospheric, something no other Crash game really has. Detailed, well composed music is awesome (like say Final Fantasy VII), but sometimes you gotta distance yourself from the main crowd to stand out and be remembered like Crash 1 does.
Remaster this game on PS4 in 4K.

The most amazing soundtrack of all Crash Bandicoot games! I love it! I love the dark mood of the first game
So, we'll get this once again on PS4 in 2017?
Can't wait!
I wish it just weren't only on ps4
it is :/
