Terminator you should do a review of the 10th Anniversary American Revolution mod for Empire. It’s pretty much Imperial Splendour, Darthmod, and Pirates Uber alles rolled into 1. Only bad things are the years go by way too fast, and the unit spacing is too loose for my liking
it's easier to use a made up units, so they don't have to be constricted to the real-life counterpart of that unit when doing the balancing stuff. Besides, there's also that 'copyright' bullshit stuff that devs shouldn't be entangled about.
@ They can just do what's always been done for these cases, slightly change the design and give it a different but similar name. They're not constricted by real life capabilities because these aren't simulators.
@mehryar. That's disgusting, there are doing a new game with latest engin and unit limit exist. What is bad limit unit is 200! Over 20 years old zero hour there is no units limit and game is working fine if units limit is below 1000 whereas here in new game units limit is 200
This game is designed for and by clickers. Nothing is wrong with being a clicker. But the game could care less about people who want to use hotkeys. The Controls and rebind functionality are hot garbage. (same mistake Stormgate made, AND PEOPLE CARE ALOT) If you care about that you will be disappointed. Besides that the game seems great.
cnc never cared about hotkeys, so its more for the cnc checklist and i am all for it, honestly, RTS forgeting about clicks its the worse thing that has ever happened. It only encourages the micro/skill play more and more and its SC2 all over again
@llamadelreyii3369 I disagree. I don’t think more options and basic QOL will make this game worse. These are very very basic features that are not unique to SC2, but are in every RTS ever.. literally.
@@kgeo2686 Nah, cnc allows you to play on mouse ALONE. The modern features can actually be a curse for the franchise, in fact it was. And i think Tempest devs are aware of that by making the skills fine to just turn on or off and easy to use These aren't QoL stuff, these are game defining things, you cannot play SC2 without hotkeys, ever. Your skill matters more than your strategy, if there's any. Did you know that SC2 doesn't have overkill ? its when units attack to much to the point they end up attacking something that is already dead. This alone made baiting attacks with one unit pretty much useless especially by how fast the game is. Automatic, without player imput, nom thought involved, automatic gameplay so you can spam A move and skills on a glorified moba
@llamadelreyii3369 Every single RTS allows you to play on mouse alone. Every one. That’s not a feature. Tempest Rising just strips out all the other functions of every RTS I’ve played in the last 15 years. There’s no “add to control group” function. Defend that.
@@kgeo2686 Nah buddy, multiplayer in SC2 will eat you alive without the damn hotkeys even on a bronze match I hate command groups too so thats a + Bring down the MOBA gameplay on RTS
huh? I've been waiting for someone to make a spiritual successor of cnc. ea will not gonna do shiz with their franchise while the fans, that include me want another cnc-like game. this is a good thing.
Check out Tempest Rising Here: sbx.gg/tempestrising-terminator & let me know what you think in the comments below!
Kane bringing back the Brotherhood of RTS !
Westwood Studios would be proud. I need to get a PC.

It would be cooler if they had used real units around a real conflict. There's so many cool units in reality, why did they had to make it futuristic?
It's closer to C&C this way.

too bad they didn't go with greenscreen actors, game looks good otherwise!

It's a copy paste of command and conquer. And the factions look aesthetically not that different
