    Just FYI so I'm straight with all of you. My original plan was to do 100 burpees in under 4 minutes. I don't train burpees in my workouts and mid challenge I learned the hard way you have to put in some serious training to reach that goal. This was a stepping stone towards that goal, I have a long ways to go, but it's all about improving each day. Get after it my friends!

      Peak Condition ..I'm late to the party James...just wanted to praise you for the fine job. I include burpees in a 4 minute Tabata that I do
      as a warmup before my regular routine and I know how hard they can be, much more difficult than they look. Congrats!

      Yes... and no. I do Iron Wolf burpees primarily, and occasionally do this type, with the jump. That little jump turns burpees into an anaerobic challenge, rather than a straight up muscle endurance routine. THIS type is far more unpleasant. I'd honestly rather do the Iron Wolf Burpee Foundation routine (700 pushups), than 100 burpees for time, with a jump for each rep. Try it out as a warmup, if you don't believe me :)

    You're fitter than me chap. I suck at burpees; find them really hard. I always struggle to smoothly get back to my feet after lying flat. You do these so fast!

    I dont do the jump but this guy kept his jump at a good form and i respect that. Alot of people do the jump and its actually useless when its done half assed. Good shit brother 💪 👏 🙏 🙌 💯

    A very nice modified burpee. Knees to the floor so a modified push up. I mean you guys are fit, correct? So why are you making the exercise easier by allowing your knees to touch the floor? Like the jump though👍

    They are harder with press up phase done by tucking elbows in and reaching high at the top of the jump phase with both hands.

    I remeber the old stamina test standard is at least 27 in 1 min and 41 in 1 min is excellent? It seems so difficult to be excellent or it does not include push up?

    Hard to judge the form from this angle. But that is some great work. As you said it takes a lot of work to build up burpee fatigue tolerance.

      If you touch your body to the ground and jump clap up top, burpees are severely taxing no matter what your form is. There is no way to cheat.

    I have been doing 50 burpees a day for 50 days, and I know how hard that is. My best is 159 and I felt like crap. Great job.

      Dang 50 burpees for 50 days?? Your arms/chest/legs must be pumped after that! Great stuff. I've been mixing it up lately and if I don't have time for a workout I'll do 100 burpees as quickly as possible. My chest is pumped afterwards and my legs are spent.       34 is great! This one was brutal, the first 20 I was thinking "wow I'm going to break the world record", by 30 "this is starting to get a little tough", and then at 40 "this is insane I might literally die, I'm going to have to stop at 50" Glad you enjoyed it and have a good day

    This was hilarious😂 not because you did anything wrong but it was the breathing that made me laugh. Most people have music on louder to drown out the breathing i guess. I will try. I did 100 in 10 min broken up

      Carlos thanks for checking out the video! Best way to train for the speed burpees is to break it down into smaller numbers. An example would be- for one week each day do 15 burpees as quickly as you can. The next week 20 as fast as you can. I wouldn’t increase the rep count to more than 5 per week. Also aside from just doing the burpees any type of true high intensity workouts (getting your heart rate elevated over 85%) are going to help big time. It’s all about the anaerobic endurance when you’re doing something like this. So two times a week you can do a high intensity workout wether it’s body weight or with resistance. Lastly strengthen the opposing muscle groups. Burpees are mostly legs, chest, shoulders. So strengthen your back, triceps, and core on days you’re not doing high intensity workouts.     lol i know that sucked XD the military specialty i wish to take up requires 41 burpees in 1.5mins XD(pretty sure they ment 2mins ),75 pushups under 2mins,
    85 sit ups under 2mins ,20 pull ups it wont be timed ,A 1.5 mile run in 10 minutes,tread water for 3mins,A 330m swim,and a 25ft dive.......jesus i got alot of work to do im no where close this outta be fun oh well XD

      Ryu I'm not going to lie it definitely did suck. One of the main reasons it sucked so bad is that I did absolutely no prior training before attempting my original goal of 100 in 4 minutes ( I had to edit the video because I only made it half way). Had I trained for a few weeks it would not have been nearly as bad. I actually had a client a few years back that was going from being a sedentary computer programmer to joining the FBI. The tests I prepped him for where similar to the tests you will be embarking on. The main thing is training properly, building the foundation, and gradually progressing each week. He passed with flying colors as I'm sure you will. Put in the work and you're going to crush it! Let me know how the testing goes and how the training is coming along

      Great stuff Jon! You’re so right just that difference in aerobic exercise to anaerobic exercise makes things brutal. As you know if you train for this you’ll be crushing it in a month, then the aerobic exercise will taper off a little. Why can’t we just always have the best of both worlds!!! 😉.       there is no such thing as lactic acid inhibiting the muscle growth.
      muscle repair usually occur when your body is at rest/night time.
      lactic acidosis from workout wont even last for more than an hour.
      TLDR,in your opinion,you think anaero and aerobic exercise burns the same amount of calories.

    This is way sloppier than a real burpee and it's a great way too get hurt. Arms are waaaaaay too wide.
