  • Long story short for those looking for a quick short answer... yes its an awesome saw to have laying around the house no complaints whatsoever.
Testing out my ms251 wood boss on some free cherry I got from the local landscape yard. I have the ms251 just one of my many saws with the carbide blade on it. This chain is awesome its hit the ground, ice, snow, pieces of frozen road millings and it just keeps on cutting like new. Hope you enjoy the video thanks for watching.

My 251 has been great so far. Had it for 6 months bucking hardwood and has done great.

Just curious. On that saw is there only one bar nut? Ever any issues with only having the one nut?

I only had that saw for a few months after this video was made. (MS251) Hardly ever used it. Think it's because it was the sharpest I had at the time. Never had any issues with it and never understood why they only put one nut either. I would 100000% upgrade to the 271 over the 251 for the little bit of extra money. That's actually what I sold the 251 in this video to buy. I have (3) 271's that I run on smaller stuff constantly. My main saw is my 500i though.

Nice! I've been on the fence about buying a 251. You have me convinced it's the saw for me. Thanks for posting!

Go with a 271 a tad bit heavier but way more power and doesn’t bog down on the bigger stuff not much more money maybe $50. 251 is good for 8-10” and below. 271 farm boss probably the best saw I’ve ever owned hands down.

@@allaboutoutdoors5083 Hmm ok that's good to know. I have 12-14 inch logs I need to process for my firewood this season. Looked like you were cutting bigger than 10 inches in the video. Cheers!

Lol the only person to blame is yourself if you have an accident with a chainsaw, improper use is the only way an accident can happen when doing a job like this 😉
