  • One of the perks of working in a dealership, some times you have to take bikes out for an extended test ride or an Italian tune-up as is the case today. Let's see how the Zontes G125 Scrambler (ZT125 G1 Scrambler) rides when you start pushing it close to it's limits.

    Well, l will say this, I am one to baby new bikes, (not good). This video helps me to understand that an Italian tune up would be positive to do...
    There are folks who have travelled around the world on a 90cc Honda cub and 125cc (air cooled) sure that the speed won't be too fast but they get to their destination. A man called Ed March has TH-cam videos to prove all his travels, it's mind blowing actually! Also, others have travelled with very small bikes making a journey that much more adventurous. I personally have had big motorcycles but the idea of enjoying the scenery and traveling at these normal speeds is eye catching. I know my buddies that ride won't do this type of traveling, so it's really for folks who are not into speed and are more relaxed and chilled on a bike.
    I get my G1 125 Scrambler in 3-4 days. Very excited! And am looking forward to traveling with it. For my style of riding/traveling the G1 125 will be perfect!! After a nice break in period that is...
    What's funny is that my eyes were set on getting the (Super Cub 125 Honda) but the darn thing cost 550 more euros!! And when I investigated all the information I could on the G1 I thought I would give the Zontes a try.
    Lived in California, and now am living in Spain. The roads here should be fun as there are plenty of secondary roads and low risk trails.
    But will definitely take her to Cruze the highways as well. Taking it easy of course 😉
    Nice video, thx for sharing 👍

      It's a good bike for leisure travel. It'll cruise all day at 90km/h without complaining.

    Used high octane (the expensive one) all the time so that you don't get that nasty carbon deposits in your piston/head cylinders. I always use this fuel in all my bike and I don't have any issue, cold or hot days.

    Would you take this instead of the 310 t2 for a trip at work and home? And sometimes a longer trip? I would like to get this bike and put some light luggage on it from QBag Oval 40l, i would like to get this instead of the 310 t2 because I've seen this has the consumption 2l for 100 km and the 310 t2 has 3.9l for km 100
    But the price for the two bikes are very similar the 310 t2 costing with 1000€ more then the G125 but you would get you're money on it from the economy you make with you're fulle consumption, this is my opinion why I would get this instead, anyway most of the time it's doesn't matter how many horse's you have if you stay in the traffic or go with a limit of 70 km for about 15 km :))
    I would like to know what would you recommend because you can puts that tipe off luggage on it and you just made and adventure bike out of it :)
    What do you recommend?

      In the city they aren't much different, because they are the same width, but long distance the T2 is much better, honestly if money wasn't an issue and I had to chose between the G and the T2 I would go for the T2. And about fuel consumption the G will use 2l/100km only while riding long distance at speeds of 70km/h, in that stile of riding the T2 has 3l/100 consumption. In the city running from stop light to stop light even the G is at about 3l/100km

    este o diferenta importanta intre 125 si 155?

      Mic dar exista, pe oraș nu prea simți diferența, la drum lung este observabila.

    I have the zt version. When you hear the liquid cooling system turning on does that mean its at its maximum operating temperature?

    • @RideWithAlex
      @RideWithAlex  ปีที่แล้ว

      The liquid cooling sistem is always on, the water pump is drivem by the engine so when you turn on the engine water starts flowing though it. I think you are talking about the radiator cooling fan. That turns on when the water gets to hot and the simple air passing through the radiator isn't enough to cool the engine and so the fam helps out. But on the dash the water temperature is displayed, normal operating temperature is between 85-95 degrees Celsius.

    • @steve00alt70
      @steve00alt70 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@RideWithAlex yea I ment the radiator, thank you. Mine turns on even if I leave the bike running for like 15 mins. But thats probably the engine naturally warming up.

    • @RideWithAlex
      @RideWithAlex  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nu prea stiu ce inseamna "Chinezesc" adica fabricat in china? SYM-ul meu de 169cc este fabricat si asamblat la fabrica SYM din China si are momentan 34.000km si merge perfect. In acelasi timp stiu un SYM Jet 14 125cc din 2019 fabricat la aceeasi fabrica din China ce are 90.000km in bord fara sa fie motorul atins in afara de ulei, bujii si jocuri la supape. In China se fabrica produse la orice nivel de calitate. Nu uita ca si iphone-ul este un telefon chinezesc. Nu conteaza unde e fabricat conteaza firma cat accent pune pe fiabilitate si pe reputatia lor.
