  • The new 2021 Sinnis Terrain 125 is a learner-legal adventure bike with a liquid cooled 12.7BHP, over 66 litres of luggage capacity, and a 14 litre tank giving you well in excess of 160 mile range.
For this Sinnis Terrain 125 review I decided to do something different and attempted the Iron Butt 'Full Monty' ride where you ride around the UK in under 48 hours - there's no way you can do that on a Sinnis Terrain 125cc motorcycle, but I wanted to try and do it in under 72 hours.
    ☑️Insurance
    2021 Sinnis Terrain
= £148.22 - BeMoto Carbon Cover (Includes Free Legal Expenses Insurance Up To £100k)
= £188.22 - BeMoto Titanium Cover (Includes 90 Day UK+EU Touring Cover, Full UK+EU Breakdown Inc Homestart, £1500 Helmet & Leather Cover, £15k Personal Accident, £100k Legal Expenses Insurance)
The above prices are based on an excess of £500 for a married rider aged 37, living in NR11 postcode area, with a full bike licence and one SP30 conviction. No accidents/claims, 5 years NCD, 3000 miles pa, employed as a teacher (white collar job). Data Tag ('Master Scheme') factory fitted immobiliser and a Tracker (BikeTrac, Datatool). Kept in a locked garage at home.

Was thinking while watching this what's the point putting yourself through that but I suppose it's like any other endurance challenge. You give yourself a target and finish and that's it. I might try something similar here in Ireland. Great video's 🤟

      Cheers Chris.
It always amuses me when I do these type of rides and get people commenting the same old stuff - Why? What’s the point? Etc etc etc
As you rightly say it’s just a challenge I set myself, because most people won’t, or can’t do these type of rides. I can, and I like to push myself in them each time to try something different in my riding and life.
I’m chuffed you get it bud, and even more chuffed that you sound like you’re going to give a challenge a go yourself.
Whatever it is, go for it and see it through bud 👏👍

Its also proof at 17 when you pass your cbt that the country is there, you have the freedom to go explore it and not stay inside the bubble you know.
My family at the time lived near Falkirk, we had the camper van ready to go to the western isles and i said i wanted to take my 125cc motorbike and ride it there, so they booked a spot on the ferry and my step dad said not to worry if something goes wrong, we will be behind you as he use to ride bikes when younger.
It was great, i did forget to fill up at Tyndrum so in the middle of Glen Coe I had to flag them down to fill the tank but i loved it.
The video shows a 125 can go anywhere just a bit slower than a mid range or 1000cc plus bike lol

I have to admit that my old 125 commuter was brilliant. And saved me loads when I wasn't as well off. From a guy with a Panigale in the garage, 125's are brilliant!

As a small capacity rider myself ( Vespa 300) l really appreciated this set of videos. I had big bikes for years and occasionally miss the sheer power but it’s amazing what you can do very cheaply and l will say, with more sense of fulfillment, on a smaller machine.

Hi TeapotOne.. Classic videos really enjoyed them... Last year at the start of the covid I bought myself a Sym NHT 125 to get to work and back. Earlier this year I decided to take a adventure on it, I bought some cheap throwovers and stuffer bag, small tent and sleeping bag. I went from West Yorkshire up to Northern Scotland on the A & B roads as I have not yet passed my test, I first headed to Arran, Oban, Via Fort William to the Isle of Skye then followed the coast up to Durness, including the infamos pass over to Applecross then back home Via Inverness, Edingburgh, Northumberland and the Yorkshire Dales. Just over 1300 miles in total. Had a craking time even the weather was good. I did it over 10 days. Most people thought I was some kind of nutter for doing a trip like this on a 125. Like you I am just under 6 feet tall and 19 stones, I am already planning my 2022 adventure, with a friend this time round. Hopefully I will have passed my test by then. If not I might give the Sinnus Terrain a go..

Cracking series bruce, can't say I'd want to do that ride on a 125, am planning a 'teapot esk' jaunt of around 700 miles in a day, just waiting for some nice weather, want to get some more miles piled on my street triple, only done about 2.5k this year,

Made it to John o groats in June by bike and when we were there met a couple of lads one of whom, on a Suzuki GSX - F, said he had hit a deer at 70 on the way up. He said he’d literally chopped it in half and we laughed thinking yeah right. Then he shows us the photos of half a deer. Quite a tale to tell. Stay safe kids.

Well, I rather enjoyed this. After looking at many 125's myself ( having only big bikes for 15 Years) I ended up with the Zontes G1 125 Scrambler, and put the SR38 Shad cafe racer saddle bags on it, absolutely love it!! Sure the power is not like my Ducati 906 Paso but at least this time around I can actually see the scenery and wonderful places... before I went too fast to see anything! Taking it easy and enjoying a ride is really what it's all about...
Plenty of adventures up ahead riding my 125cc G1 Scrambler!!!
I've only just reached the 1.000 kilometers mark and just got the 1st. Service done ✅. Now I can do a nice longish trip👍
A bit shorter than your marathon though, I would be completely broken after what you just did!!!

Yeah better still take your time check out those interesting little side roads, I do
About nine or ten years ago I had a young fella double me on one of those little Honda 125's when I had a roadside problem with the 125 in my photo and I was amazed at how well it went two up
We were both touring at the time and we spoken back up the road before he found me broken down I think he was from Brazil and had ridden his little Honda from Canberra to Brisbane and was heading back to Melbourne when he helped me east of where I now live at Grafton Northern NSW
He didn't have to I would have hitch hiked but he insisted and took me about 25ks and then had to go back to where I'd left my 125 "Wombat" at a farm house to collect his gear that he'd removed from the bike to clear the backseat I did give him fuel money but as I said he didn't have to bother but did
Nice young bloke and excellent impressive little bike 😃👍

I like the grinding Bruce (if on the right bike). You should take a look at the Iron Butt scatter rallies - they are varying lengths (from 8hours upwards). It’s a different kind of challenge to the endurance rides - much more thinking/re-assessing routes as you ride whilst visiting some interesting places.

Wow good video and a epic ride on a 125. But on a 125 compare to a bigger bike do you get chance to take in the scenery more that say your GS. Nice work cant wait for next one keep safe.

On Sinnis' next release. Reviewer - "This bike feels like it was set up for a 20 stone rider. I have no idea why the suspension is SO hard! On the plus side the brakes are now powerful enough to have you over the bars and the garden shed sized screen keeps your ankles out of the wind"

Congratulations! I have the 2018 model and this Saturday did 800km in 13 hrs from Brittany to Toulouse. My first proper long distance run. Found it surprisingly comfortable and I agree that the fuel gauge is very inaccurate, but at least in the right direction. I am still getting to know the bike, but I start looking for petrol when i hit 300km. That means refilling with about 10 lt of petrol. never had a chance to run the tank dry, so I don’t know if it really fits 14 litres. I am only 5’6 and the screen throws the wind right onto my helmet. Add to that the turbulence of lorries you don’t have the speed to overtake and you end up with serious buffeting and noise. Bought and aftermarket extension, plugs and a neck tube and it is now more manageable. This is only my second bike so I don’t have a good comparison point, but i found it spacious, not bad on the vibration, good gear ratios and nimble in tight traffic. I bought mine used for 1700 euros and 5000 and it was a steal. I just love it. Because of the speed i wouldn’t recommend it if you want to gain on distance, but if time is not an issue and you want to take it easy, then this is a cheap and cheerful way to do it

I don't understand why they don't make it so the bike uses the whole 15hp its allowed to have.

While I'm sure it would be excessive to do this full thing again with the limited audience, I would be interested for you to do a review on s "full power 125" as it were.
While it's an admittedly small difference, the extra 3hp may be the difference for someone like me or you, that aren't a 17 yo. Making it so you can actually maintain 50/60 on and incline / 70 on a DC etc.

3 hp and less torque lower in the range it's more like 2 hp than 3 anyway. I would like to see it done on a full power 2 stroke around 24hp.

I am doing the NC500 with a new 2022 Honda Cub 125 hopefully in June 2022 but first I have to get to Lanark from Reading using A and B roads then do the NC over 4 days and back to Lanark before returning to Reading again all over 10 days, we have relatives in Lanark so the better half is driving up with the dog and most of my gear so I will not be loaded up until I leave Lanark. People I have spoken to ask why use a 125 when I have a Honda Rebel 1100 ? easy more of a challenge and heaps more fun! four days camping gear and spare fuel food and water so it will be fully loaded max speed I reckon about 50 mph on the NC500 and 60mph getting there and back from Reading with gear in the car..
