Hi sir your videos are awesome. I have an doubt in vertical pumps. Why the vertical pumps are dont have balancing drum arrangement for axial load. Then How axial float of impeller will be arrested..?
These pumps are designed for axial load due to thrust. Each pump design has K factor which needs to be referenced when calculating thrust. Under normal conditions these pumps will see downthrust which is transfered to the electric motor thrust bearings which need to be appropriately sized to the thrust calc. If these pumps run out on their performance curve, they could potentially go into upthrust which can damage the motor. These pumps will have a max impeller lateral (movement) and the impeller stack will need to be set within this based on stack weight, column and shaft stretch if applicable. It all works of allowable tolerance and clearance.
@@bigamigo4863 thank you very much for your valuable comment. I want to add some additional details regarding this. Basically this type of vertical pumps impellers are having balancing hole to reduce the axial float by design and additionally bearings are arranged by tandem double set up. So it will allowing the one direction of axial float only.. So This is what I have learned from this concept... thank you very much for your great sharing....❤
@@rasetech Yes they can have a balancing hole which is called a "thrust balanced impeller" but this is rarely necessary unless the total thrust of the pump is too high to match any motor thrust rating. We rarely see thrust balanced pumps as its usually not necessary as motors have a wide range of thrust options available. These impellers also make the pump less efficient as there is more recirculation happening. These pumps are designed to have fairly high downthrust when at their B.E.P.(depending on pump size and system head).
rigid adjustable spacer type coupling in this video has no added benefits with packing stuffing box configuration because packing rings can easily removed or maintain without the need to have a spacer piece of the coupling. Adjustable spacer type coupling is generally used when there is pump utilize a mechanical seal, this is to facilitate a servicing of mechanical seal whithout disturbing the driver.
dear sir. Can this pump meet the condition that the distance from the motor to the pump chamber is 9.5m?

@@bigamigo4863 Great Information.... All the best....💐
Mil gracias excelente tra bajo hermano ❤
What kind of adjustment would you have made if the run out were greater than .005 ?
Angular contact ,Bush Bearing or shaft replacement, repair of housing bearing
What sound is this at the time of rotation shaft
Ratchet, pump can only be rotated in one direction.
Solid shaft P-Base motor.
Thanks for video
Hi... How to rotate the pump with chain block... Could you send me that video plz
