Can you please add some prices? How much is the bus? Salkantay trail? What is included in the price? When and how to book the mp entrance?

KB Adventures organized all for me 😊 You can find out more about the tour and different pricings on their website: kbtourstravel.com/ 😉

Thanks for this video! I'm in Lima and will be going in a few weeks but a couple questions. 1) When you talk about the bus and train, is that between Aguascalientes and Machu Picchu or does that involve Cusco? 2) How far in advance did you buy your entry ticket if you didn't buy it when you go the the entrance?

oo nice, you are going to love it! Bus or train option is between Aguas Calientes and Cusco 😊 (for me on the way back, as I did a hiking trail there) . 2. I bought a few day before via the company that organized the Salkantay trail for us - KB Adventures 😉 I would buy a few days in advance, on the spot could be tricky, as they have strict times of entering. Hope this helps. 😊

Is it possible to do reverse of what you have done?
For example, taking the bus/train to reach MP and return hiking. 😀
We are not hikers, but we also want to see the beauty of the journey.
I assume hiking in return will be slightly easier.🤔 What do you think?

Hi, thanks for sharing your experience. Wanted to know.. if I take the bus up from Aguascalientes to MP, do I need to buy the tickets before getting to Aguascalientes or I can just buy it there? Also, did you say there is a MP ticket that won’t get you that picture of MP from above? Thanks!

If you want to ensure you get a ticket at 5.30 (which i think is the first bus) to get to MP at 6am, then I would book a few days in advance but to be fair, there are 3x less tourists now in Peru so I wouldn't worry too much and just buy there the night before. Even experienced guides said to us that if last minute we decide to take a bus and not walk up we just go there and we will get the ticket on the spot. You might just need to go with a bus 15 min later. About MP tickets, yes be careful, if you book yourself make sure you book ALL site and not just some parts. If you book parts you might not be able to get to the top to the famous viewpoint. If ticket is cheaper than others then you probably want to double check :D Hope this helps! Any other questions, do not hesitate to ask.

This is the most comprehensive video i have seen on Machu Picchu.
Why you did not choose Inca Trail? Thank you. 😊

Thank you so much 😊 Purely because of the pricing. Also I heard so many good things about Salkantay and how amazing adventure it is that tests you mentally and physically so I wanted to test myself 😊

@@AlikiTravelBlog Thank you for sharing this amazing Hiking Information. 🙏🏼

Hi there! so amazing! As I plan my Machu Picchu trip (post Covid), do you know if you were able to (or if you tried) to enter the site earlier than what your ticket time said to enter? For example, my ticket to enter says from 1400-1500…. Im wondering if you think they May let me in early (weekday - low season) in thr AM like when they first open? Or would i have to wait until that Time?
I want to hike up early around 4:30 am from Aguascalientes, but id hate to wait at the top at the entrance if they aren’t going to let me in ya know?
Thanks in advanced for any information.

Great question. They are very strict! I had a friend in a similar situation and he went up 3 hours in advance and got in only like 30 minutes in advance.
