I was fishing for big cats using this exact bait. And caught a 3.7 lb stripped bass. And then 2 more stripped bass’. None under 2 lbs. Never did get any cats though. 😂😂

It's called a bait runner, mostly used in saltwater but great for still fishing. Front drag set heavy, rear drag set as light as you want. Flip the switch to turn on runner(rear) after you cast. When they 'run' with the bait you can flip the switch back or just start reeling to engage the front drag. Kept me from losing my gear when a flathead ate my crappie minnow and took off.
@@ronnieard2521 almost everyone offers them now shimano baitrunners D series, diaw bite and run, okuma offers a lot of baitfeeder reels the avengers,trios,Coronado, and the discontinued makita. Penn has the liveliner in the fierce lineup and the spinfisher vi but stay away from it they redesigned it to make it waterproof and screwed themselves because you need a tool to adjust the liveliner and it only has 4 settings unlike everyone else offering 6oz-2lbs of drag on the 2nd drag. Also there's the offshore angler high tide that offers 12lbs of drag on the baitfeeder. I believe alot if fishing is using team catfish gold rings which I don't have any experience with however they resemble the okuma and I know why.
