Carrot cake would be a great addition to the cookbook, especially since unlike 2 years ago you are now the best anabolic baker on the platform. I think you can easily make the best one on youtube, Surprisingly people are not using brown swerve in their recipes, I think non anabolicly speaking I think claire saffitz x baker, bon apetit's chris morocco, joshua wiessman, and not to mention one your favourite's brian lagerstrom's and his carrot cake. Only you find the perfect balance of calories protein, flavour and texture, and you always nail it on the condiments and mix ins.
Preppy kitchen is also solid too
Big agree to everything in this comment.
A creamcheese frosting would be a necessity, especially since you already have that dialed in.
Hoping he does an anabolic carrot cake recipe especially since Brian Lagerstrom dropped a carrot cake video the other week lol
YouSuckAtCooking has a very good recipe of carrot cake - just add 2 scoops of vanilla protein and swap sugar with swerve, and it tastes really good. But my boy here shall make it perfection !
my g comes back from the gym and starts cooking before taking his backpack off
Damnnnnnn, son. Been following since pandemic days and got your cookbook at release. It's INSANE how far you've come and how much your recipes have evolved. My friend, you dropped this 👑
I am obsessed with these dominos cheesy bread!!! So the fact that you made this!!!! 😭🎉💪🏾🥹I’m so excited to give this recipe a TRY! 🧀🍞🤤💖
Love your stuff. I need you to do a bread/pizza video with the vital wheat gluten and self rising flour/greek yogurt combo.
425g bath water from the editor😂😂
Anywhere is my Jam!! That bread looks delicious
1:09 I feel like I watched this video before lol. Brian inspired
Hey man, great content as usual. I am so on the fence getting your book but i don’t know if i can justify paying the price if recipes are getting posted for free eventually anyways. Are there any exclusive recipes on the book?
Just support the content my man
There are a nice chunk of recipes in his book that he doesn’t give out the recipe. He will make a video about it to showcase it but you need the book for ingredients and measurements.
@@brooklyndiva23 any video displaying some of the recipes he didnd’t share the recipe on his channel?
I feel like a rotary cheese grater would be clutch for meal prepping
Does the stand mixer instructions work for the 1$ pizza dough as well?
I think so. I haven’t made that pizza in awhile but I used a food processor for it and it turned out great.
>takes only 15 minutes
>24+ hours of prep
canada doesn't have no fat cheese blocks :(
I tried your cheese pizza recipe last night and I just feel like you’re a life saver. I’ve never worked with dough before and it was completely beginner friendly and took the intimidation out of baking. I feel like I’ll finally be able to lose the weight and not worry about it coming back with these recipes at hand 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Which one he several pizza recipes
@@JB23669 it’s his “$1 Pizza Meal Prep” video
This is why Canada needs fat-free cheese!
Let me guess before even watching this. It has fat-free cheese. Sorry it just gets annoying that if I use all part skin it doubles the calories just because they don't sell it in my country.
Omg!
Right!!
Anyone know where I can get all of these cheeses? I'm not near HEB.
It took you well over 15 minutes to make that...
do you ever post healthy recipes?
Bread 👍
Lost my proverbial shit when you started straight up 90s R&B serenading that cheese bread. Tenouttaten would watch again, and hundredouttahundred would make yummy cheese bread.
Nickkkk! I don’t usually make recipes same day I watch them but I have to make this today!!!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Super dope recipe. But definitely not a 15 minute recipe lol. Kind of a misleading statement but not a big deal
It def is a big deal if you felt the need to comment it lmao
@@JB23669 nah, not a big deal but felt like it was worth saying regardless
I Really wish I could just order these pizza style recipes with the same macros. Would be a great Idea if that taste just as good but much better for you. Any who Great work on the videos man food looks absolutely flawless. Keep Up the excellent work.
That date night tho
Early to the party AND I love dominos bread LETS GOOOOOOOO.
I never knew how much I needed this channel
If you're from Chicago, check out his videos on deep dish pizza and Italian beef! And if you're not from Chicago, then try these two recipes out and enjoy!
Banana Pudding. Going to post it on every video until it becomes a reality!
Bro! The 112 segment had me dying!🤣🤣🤣
What vacuum sealer do you use?
Another banger Nick! I appreciate the attention to detail and the alternate methods you use 🙌
man I wish there was fat free cheese available where I live lol
Hey :) Is there any real alternative for the vital wheat gluten? Or can you just leave it out of the equation? I tried using chick pea flour for the protein content but the dough came out… not so nice. Help me please 😭
Just bought the cookbook but this one ain’t in there. It looks like it’s the old recipe that’s in the cookbook
Cool and informative but I can't see myself doing all this im lazy 😂
My dough is coming out stiff and sticky, what am I doing wrong?
Dawg really stuffed the dough😳😳
Hey, what size meal prep containers do you use?
You cannot get fat free cheese in the UK, I have no idea why!
Have you ever done cinnamon buns?
You had to post this after I just ran out of cheese.
Back at it
Ayyy Nick!
I definitely have to keep this one in my mind going to college next year! It’s crazy how much your video quality has improved. Hope to see you again at CFX one day to update you on the recipes of yours that I’ve made:)
So awesome you commented! It was great meeting you man. Hope to see you again in the future. Let me know if you make anything and what you thought!
Question, I see you commonly using vital wheat gluten. And forgive me for not knowing, but I was always taught that protein from gluten isn't the most best source of protein. Why do you use vital wheat gluten, and not say a flavorless protein powder? Generally the protein powders are better absorbed by the body than vital wheat gluten no? Or Is your body really not able to differentiate the different types of protein. Genuinely curious
because whey and casein act very differently than vital wheat gluten in baked goods, they mess with the hydration of the dough. It's much harder to get a good product with either of those protein powders.
@@BenSnyder0701that actually makes a lot of sense. Thanks for the info.
I am new to this, why add additional gluten?
Probably for protein but it also affects the consistency of the dough
Do you have an OF to sell that bath water?
wtf kinda comment is this
How would I divide this for 1 serving
This literally makes no sense. the macros he posted are for one whole cheesy bread
@@JB23669 no the ingredients how would I know the grams and everything if I just wanted to make one cheesy bread
Recently found your channel and already tried some recipes, they are amazing! I just had two questions here:
1 - Is it possible to not use vital wheat gluten? Maybe add more flour in its place (it is what I did with one pizza recipe)? I don't think this is widely sold around here (Brazil), and even IF I'm able to find it one day it will probably be hella expensive.
2 - Not related to this recipe, but what do you do with your leftover egg yolks? I always face this because most recipes only use the whites and nobody even says what do they do with the remaining yolk, and I really wouldn't like to just throw it away as it is such a waste. I did the breakfast burrito and now I'm sitting on 5 yolks and don't know what to do with them.
And that's it for now. Amazing video as always, now it is time for me to look at all the other recipes around the channel!
So he mentions in other videos, you don't have to use the vital wheat gluten, but it kind of defeats the whole purpose of having something like this, the protein cheesy bread. Because it adds 24 g of protein per serving. You can replace it with flour, but you won't get anywhere near the amount of protein.
As far as egg yolks go, I either put them in one of my foods where I need extra protein. Even though it does have fat in it but it's not a lot. Or I do a egg wash on a pizza I made.
@@J-Kim24 thanks! Yeah, I was thinking about the protein issue with the vital wheat, I found some places that do sell it at decent enough prices that it is worth it for cooking a few times. And thanks for the tips on the egg yolks too!
I was loving the videos and whilst I appreciate a lot of time goes in to writing a cook book, $109.99 for an e-book is crazy, not matter how long you add updates to it.
There aren’t many people I would be willing to pay for a cook book, but when you price it so high, it’s out of reach for the vast majority of people.
I can pretty much guarantee, you would have made far more money pricing it between 15-20 dollars. I dunno something makes me feel uneasy about you… and it feels kind of scammy.
Especially when I paid less than half of what you’re charging for four brand new hard back Joe Wicks recipes books. Christ, I could buy 10 hardback copies of his latest book from Amazon for the same price as your e-book.
Do you need the vital wheat gluten if you use bread flour instead?
What are the calories per serving?
I'm not at all certain if this is true, but I've heard that the protein from vital wheat gluten is somehow less superior or not optimal for absorption and muscle growth.
Have you read up on it at all? not sure if its bull or not.
Protein is protein. Eat your protein. Hit the weights, do your cardio and stop making excuses
Better to eat vital wheat gluten protein rather than eating less than your protein goal
@@ceagles1001 "Protein is protein" is 100% BS. Different types of protein have different qualities and absorb different amounts. It's wild you can be so wrong and so confident at the same time, when a simple google search can educate you. For instance, an incomplete protein like gelatin might as well not even be a protein for the purpose to muscle building. Even some complete proteins sucks, like protein from rice, or pea protein, which can be half or even 1/3 quality, meaning the effective amount of protein of, say, 100 grams is more like 50 grams or 33 grams of a high quality protein.
My other comment aside, a little bit of vital wheat gluten in the dough isn't the biggest issue, it's a complete protein, and you are getting a lot of the protein from the cheese anyway. Vital wheat gluten is a bit low in lysine, so either supplement that, or eat foods high in it alongside it, but the quality/bioavailability of vital wheat gluten is actually not bad, so that instead of normal dough + cheese + lean meat if you add it is still excellent. It's only a problem if that's your main source of protein. If you're eating it alongside whey powder, lean meats, lowfat cheese, ect then it's excellent addition
@@anonymoose2474 lmao I didnt want to engage with his dumb comment but you laid it out👌
I'm sure this is pretty good tasting, but this is not "15 minutes of your time". Even subtracting the dough prep time and cheese. It clearly takes longer to take the ingredients and make the bread. All this looks like to me is manipulation. I've yet to see anyone "Try" your recipe until after the fact. All the comments are something to the effect"I'm going to try this as it looks good". The point is, you can cook your own food well, but you don't need this guy to do that and lose weight. Lifting weights and cardio and not eating a bunch of junk food are going to get you there. These "I lost such and such amount of weight" are not due to this guy. Even if you think it is. You can learn to make good food and still lose weight. That's all you really can take away from this.
You're a sucker. The point was to drive engagement by making people go "Um actually"
I eat half of this guys recipes. The “1$ pizza” isn’t $1 where I live but I eat that daily. As well with his vanilla creami ice creams.
90% of peoples trouble with weight loss is the diet. They will run a marathon then eat 4 large Big Mac meals.
This guys recipes taste like cheat meals but have tons more protein and less calories. His stuff works.
You’re a loser for hating. Loser loser loser
I tried this and it was so delicious. Love it!
YESS FINALLY
You should try to make a protien bagel recipe, anabolic bacon egg and cheese bagels would be sweet.
Low Cal Bacon Egg & Cheese: 647 Bagels are 160 calories with 8grams of protein. Can’t get much better than that without compromising the texture and flavor. As for bacon, I’d use uncured thick cut turkey bacon but maybe even regular bacon because most people don’t like turkey. Just know you’re adding a lot more fat. As for the cheese, I use Borden Fat Free singles; it melts just like regular cheese and it’s really hard to taste the difference. And finally for eggs I use Egg Beaters Southwestern Style egg whites. Make sure the heat is kinda low when you cook it because egg white always come out weird if you try to shock them with too much heat. I usually add a little light miracle whip and Buffalo Franks hot and it’s amazing.
Oh yes!! I was just thinking that if he made a high protein bagel recipe would be so nice
@@Redspinna55 the bagels are really the missing link for me, I haven't seen or heard of 647 Bagels before. I'll have to check it out
@@oscargortez yeah they’re Schmidt Old Tyme 647 brand. They have bagel, English muffins, potato bread, Kaiser rolls, hot dog/hamburger buns, and other bread stuff. They sell them at Walmart and ShopRite and other big stores.
