Koreans have deep affection for Filipinos because we sent 7,000 soldiers to help the South stopped the invasion of the North during the Korean War. We welcome them with open arms in the Philippines and they helped our economy grow now that South Korea is a prosperous country. We buy most of our military weapons from that end. And SK reciprocate the gesture with military aids. A few days ago she donated hundreds of brand new motorcycles for the Philippine National Police.
Rolando esling: Koreans have soft spot for PH. Filipinos welcome the Koreans in PH so warmly. Everywhere, we see Koreans in PH. Thank you South Korea!
Battle of yultong
You mean 1,400 not 7,000

Learn English in the Philippines -> Speak with a Filipino accent
Well, Filipinos can speak American accent if they want to.Most of the Filipinos are just too shy to speak American Accent for they fear to be ridiculed. Unless you work in a BPO where you can get Filipinos who speak American or British accent.
No need to copy others accent. Because thats your originality. If you try to be american, you cant be good cause you are only impersonating. On the other hand you will lose your phillipinaness along with it. So its a lose lose situation.
Wynn Cruz speaking English fluently by using the right diction and tone is not American or British accent, its called speaking english properly.
@@pax4370 Just because a Filipino is fluent and adapts the proper phonology of a language doesn't mean he/she of such ethnicity would lose their heritage. Yeah sure you have to impersonate their diction in order for you to reach fluency yet it does not equates to you loosing your innate capability to properly speak your native tongue. Don't get me wrong there are a lot of Filipinos especially the youth who are bilingual but it ultimately depends on their daily use and interaction with the said language which result to their efficiency of using it.
And there is nothing wrong with a Filipino accent, because Filipino English / Filipino accent is actually a "thing". Meaning it is accepted as one of the English accents globally. I should know, I teach IELTS 😊
I love this video. It's very entertaining! Perfect combinatio, Drew and Ryan

Applies to asian Culture, doesn't matter if you are Japanese , Chinese, Malaysian,
Thai.etc ... you receive things with two hands,.... you serve drinks and hold using two hands.... You respect your elders,.... you uphold strong family values..... These are some of the reasons why Korean Culture is very easily assimilated strongly in Asia in particular....Beside that, K-Pop ,K-drama is cool as well..

Are you sure there are more Koreans in the Philippines than Vietnam? According to Korean statistics, there are nearly 200 000 Koreans living in Vietnam and nearly 3 million Korean tourists visit Vietnam every year, second to only Chinese tourists. If talking about cultural similarity, Vietnam is the country most similar Korea in Southeast Asia due to the historical Chinese influence in both countries...
There's so many koreans here in Philippines learning in english...
Some of them are kpop idol... Korean is top tourist here in Philippines.. Just saying peace...
I believe Vietnam got more Koreans than here in Phil. There are more tourists visiting Vietnam than Phil, maybe because it is connected to different countries and its cheaper there. I went to Vienam, I went there last year and the people I've met wete all very kind and welcoming. There are also this child who can speak Tagalog. I am soooo amazed by that. I love Vietnam.
Maybe that's old data. I just google
It. Vietnam is 2nd largest korean community in SEA with roughly 80k. PH is first with 100k because Of low cost English education and tourist spots. PH is 9th world largest. I like viet people
we filipino don't care about that, so if you want to be known as a country that most korean live/tourist then go claim it. What's so special about that and I like it if our government have a limitations in allowing foreigners to visit my country.
Ryan Bang is a famous comedian actor in the Philippines and the Filipinos love him so much he is now an adopted son of the Philippines. I do love kpop but I hope Filipinos would love our country more. Mahalin ang sariling atin.
Duh obviously
We really ought to prioritize cultural exports like Japan and South Korea, and even Thailand, honing in on our Asian side, because that is who we are. Just imagine Filipino food, animation, shows, movies, comics, novels, and fashion being popular alongside Western and East Asian ones. The amount of pride in the nation and the boost to the economy would be tremendous. Our inferiority complex, which leaves us on our knees towards foreigners, will be erased as our national prestige grows in the world and our country becomes developed and propserous despite the hindrances. Exporting our culture will educate the world that we are not just some Westernized country, but we have a rich culture that survived colonial efforts, and have successfully brough it back. On top of that, it will make a national identity that isn’t reliant on Catholicism and other foreign influences. We could follow India in that regard, a diverse nation that ultimately is united in Indian-ness, where each ethnolinguistic group contributes to our native identity.
This is the best video so far... That guy is funny though.
