What a enviromentalist prasing someone who says patakas have no Impact : Diwali has no real connection with firecrackers. Traditionally, it was a vibrant celebration of Lord Rama’s return, marked by lighting diyas as an expression of love and devotion. Firecrackers, on the other hand, are harmful - they lead to significant pollution, which can be easily seen in the rise of AQI levels around Diwali. People often start setting off crackers days in advance, which worsens the issue. Unlike fireworks displays in places like the USA or Dubai, where a single entity handles it for a short duration, here everyone celebrates individually, and with our large population, the impact is massive. Not only do firecrackers pollute the air, but they also terrify animals, especially loud ones like sutli bombs or horse crackers. It’s heartbreaking to see how such a beautiful festival, meant to honor a divine return, has turned into a celebration of noise and pollution rather than a true expression of joy and reverence.
Instead of stubble burning, farmers should sell the harvested waste biomass to biogas production units. The biogas units can use those biomass for production of biogas and fuels through processes like gasification and saccharification of wastes. Also the farmers can use the biomass for mushroom cultivations. I think this might help reduce air pollution levels.
What is harvested waste here ? can u give light on it. It's the leftover which is of no use. However what we can do we can celebrate our festival in other ways which are already there.
@@vinodyadav-ip1se Harvested waste I believe is referring to the wheat stock that is left in the farm lands after harvesting the grains. It is of no use to the farmer, however it can be used to create biofuel, or even used as natural decomposed fertilizers. Once again, we can infact celebrate Diwali in different ways, I for one do not burn fire cracker and have no interest in adding to the pollution, but that doesn't mean we should take away the joy of celebration from the other kids and families. It is also about fairness, why exactly is Diwali targeted every year? But not other holidays like Eid, Christmas etc. There is mass slaughter of animals on Eid and huge deforestation during Christmas, but no one talks about it. But when it comes to Hindu festivals, there seems to be no end to the criticism.

The authoritarian central government wants to take away people's rights one at a time by making up bogus laws. In America, in all the theme parks like Disney World, Disney Land, Niagara Falls and other places they have a 30 minute fireworks show EVERYDAY - 365 days a year. And ALL the millionaires in America travel by personal jets which increase pollution by 3000%. They don't mention any of this, but they want common people to sacrifice our traditions. All these idiots who talk about pollution do not do anything to ban cars or private jets or ban cutting trees. None of them care to plant trees, but everyone wants to cut trees and build sky scrapers. The dictators make rules for common people and exempt themselves from those rules - and they continue to travel in their luxury cars and private jets.
@@vijaysrini27 The cars, the airplanes and the petroleum industries cause 4000% more pollution than the tiny crackers that common people burst. People like Ambani, Adani, Bill Gates, Narayan Murthy, Modi, Sadhguru, all the celebrities and all the oligarchs fly around the world in private jets which is causing the pollution and that is the cause for your headache. Also these are the same people who participate in de-forestation because they want land to construct buildings. The wealthy people will NOT sacrifice their luxuries, but they want the common people to stop enjoying 3 days in a year.
All the youngsters need to stand up for your rights to be able to enjoy fire crackers with Deepawali. How come Americans get to enjoy fireworks show every night in their theme parks? Disney land, Disney world, Niagara falls - all these places burst fireworks for 30 minutes EVERY DAY - 365 days a year. Isn't that polluting the environment? The dictatorial government wants to restrict people's liberties. Vote them OUT.
This should be an eye-opener for us. We get so carried away by pseudo-liberal propaganda that we forget Diwali is our tradition celebrated only once a year. Moreover, it should be no surprise that Diwali is NOT among India's top 10 reasons for pollution in our country. Thanks for sharing!

Try to say the same thing when people whose cultures don’t have such rituals burst crackers as a celebratory deed !? Can you?
@preetij4090 dear please remember that that fire crackers need not be the ones with a loud sound. they make life hell for the animals on that day and also for elders. you can fire crackers which don't cause much polution and does not burst with a loud boom. also when the air quality index is already deadly in a city, it will add an extra layer of danger to the people living in that city if there is no control over the fire crackers.
I haven’t burst crackers since 2012 but it’s for a personal reasons. Everything you said is 100% right. I don’t live in NCR, but even going there as an Indian scared me because of the pollution. I'll be honest It causes a lot of noise pollution. It's kind of annoying for me but still I can understand as some people do have fun and it's a part of some people's income. I have seen multiple animals(dogs,cats,etc..) tremble with fear. I saw one yesterday which wasn't even able to move due to fear in my violin class and my neighbour's dog keeps running around the house in panic. Most of the old street dogs don't panic that much but a few young street dogs and cats do panic. I saw my friend's hamster trembling. I understand that there are many other factors that cause more pollution which should be stopped but Noise pollution is a big factor too in Diwali. We can't only think about humans, what about the other cuties. Also, some people have a phobia of huge sounds.

Agree 💯.....Why to aggravate the pollution problem with crackers in the name of religion?.Think of asthmatics ....As a class 9th student, I hadn't burnt a single cracker on this diwali.Instead, I had exquisitely decorated my house with diyas as the Ayodhyans did 7000 years ago for Lord Ram's reverent welcome. We can't compare tobaco and firecrackers. You absolutely know what will happen if we ban tobacco. What happened when they banned alcohol, the same will happen again. Firecrackers are not an addiction but cigirates are. Comparing these two are pointless. Again just stand in a busy street where you can hear extreme noisy cracker sounds. You 'll notice the street dogs will be running madly. If you have one dog in your house you 'll be able to realize how scared/traumatized it 'll become during these times...then imagine the dogs in the streets.

You are absolutely wrong. Firecrackers are mentioned in many Puranas (at least 2500 years old), the paintings of crackers in 1500+ year old temples... do some research before you blabber
The government can't ban the top 10 polluting reasons as they are contributing much more importance to our country's economy and giving more employment while comparing these firecrackers... My conclusion is that we shouldn't ban the firecrackers totally but there must be a limit for firing crackers individually so that our tradition can be followed..
You're right mam. We can look at this problem in two perspectives. 1) On an individual level, we are so focused on momentary pleasure that we tend to ignore long-term effects. We watch movies before exams and delay preperation till the last minute. We burn crackers on Diwali, see the smoke rising into the sky and we clap. In so many areas of our lives, we choose momentary pleasures that may cause serious harm in the future. Till that mentality changes among people, no cracker bans going to work. 2) On a governmental level, it simply must ban crackers. That's it. No other way to say it. It must ban every stall that sells crackers. It must ban stubble burning and take action against those who break it. It can't always ask the citizenry politely, For the greater good, it needs to take a tougher stand. It wouldn't either. The minute you act tough, people revolt.
That's true sis but scaring the animals is true, people with pets may know that. On another account why would i burn the money i could use that to help thw orphans

Keeping animals & environment aside. But even common people suffer a lot due to diwali crackers. When people burst crackers which cause sound then old people suffer with heart attack... I am not saying to ban crackers but then we can burst less sound crackers
I really support what you have told.but I think what you said about 'burning 1 or 2 crackers as a symbol of respect to the tradition ' is not correct because our tradition never told to burn crackers and diwali is the festival of lights not crackers so we just do it for our happiness .so you should have not told it that way . Other than that I enjoyed your vedio 😊.

Hi Keerthi! I'm an environmental engineer. I can't find the words to express myself because you are precisely pinpointing the reality with a headshot. Every single point you mentioned has deep meaning. From an environmentalist's perspective, I'm thanking you.
Thanks Keerthi for raising this topic 🎉
You are doing great dear 💕 your video is an eye opener for all.
Thanks for this yet another eye-opener. May the fire inside you keep burning and be the light of inspiration for everyone. Shubh Deepavali! ✨

There is like factories, but factories is necessary but crackers are not.
The authoritarian central government wants to take away people's rights one at a time by making up bogus laws.
Frankly speaking, it is polluting. I do sometimes get headache and 3ye irritation. I have to plug my ears as well.

Also these are the same people who participate in de-forestation because they want land to construct buildings. The wealthy people will NOT sacrifice their luxuries, but they want the common people to stop enjoying 3 days in a year.
And what about the children who are forced to work in fire crackers industries which cause many deaths due to the hazardous chemical composition!?

It’s not a celebratory thing but a ritual.

The SC can take better steps than just banning firecrackers. If they can justify it, they should justify why no action in stubble burning and all the other reasons

Happy Deepavali 🧨
All the points very beautifully explained. Why specifically this festival is only targetted which comes once in a year. This festival is a part of our tradition. An effort has to be done to reach thus video to every indian, Govt etc. All this points should also be highlighted by media and a national debate should be there.
Govt should spend money instead and give all festival bags to orphans and old aged homes to celebrate
Poor Hindus always are gullible due to their kind heart and soft nature put handcuffs to their own and courts.. The appeasing politics of govts and their secretaries do this acts and courts go by what is said..
Girl the same thing I got to hear from one of my teacher and I wonder why these logical facts are not mentioned anywhere thankfully you said it here girl you got so much guts ❤...you go girl !
Happy Deepawali ❤
I agree with your points, but one question "Does Deepavali still represents the festival of lights?" For my eyes it seems like it is the festival of smoke more than lights.

So maturely spoken with a lot of research 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 A lot of content in one video. Much recommended❤. Shubha Deepawali 🪔🪔
The truth that is, Divali is about Victory over Evil, not burning crackers.
Our heart has to be pure from inside not from outside.
Love you, Keerthi. Let's keep raising our voices on issues like these 👍🏼❤️
Good evening mam, mam i am very much influenced by your work, and believe me you are the one of the best social media influencer which is spreading the real truth in media 😊😊 keep up the best work😊
I'll be honest
It causes a lot of noise pollution.
Also, some people have a phobia of huge sounds.
last sentence + people with heart issues...cannot enjoy the festival...coz of the unwanted noise n smoke. and im still unable to understand how and why did the festival of lights become a festival of noise
Hope that some selective people will get agree with my views.
Vande Mataram 🇮🇳
One thing somebody is not coming to your home and blasting the craker in your ear and also I agree people with heart disease have some problem but here one thing you might talk with your neighbours and take necessary precautions. But the crackers are not fired everyday in a year only once in year. All the noise you will be remembering on this only there are many other industries also which have noise pollution and smoke also once in a year fired crackers are getting blamed for pollution very worst other countries are doing for their festivals also we are ones where it has been tradition here we are questioning
If it so why do they ban crackers on Diwali completely ban them they don't have problems when firecrackers are burst during new year, Christmas, political parties meating, events etc.i also saw about ads during Diwali asking to eat sweets less because it causes diabetes but the same brands encourage sweets and cakes during Christmas, ramzan and other festivals maybe sugar works differently on body during these festivals

What ever you told that is 1000000% right...sad reality that the Leading institutio of justice only focus on Hindu festivals how to stop from celebrating 😢
Don't stop burst crackers. I am going to do it. My neighbours are doing it.
With this touchwood information, she touched my heart and shed tears at the ending words.. 😢
If we are bursting cracking once a year then cause of pollution is 11th place imagine if all cracks once in a week
I stopped bursting fireworks for the two main reasons
Pollutio- now that I know that it doesn't affect much(thanks for the video), I would also like to share another reason why I don't celebrate.
It is not a part of our tradition
Fireworks did not exist in the olden days and deepavali is a festival that is being celebrated for ages. Which means that it is a not traditional method of celebrating the beautiful festival of lights. But I don't know how Diwali was actually celebrated. I kindly request you you make a video on that.
exactly...how did this whole craker nonsense come to be seen as a normal way of celebrating a festival of lights is beyond me
Watch rj raunaks latest video on diwali crackers were always the part of the tradition just bursting a myth
@@akshat02 bro crackers came into India in the 19th century
Diwali is 2500++ yr old festival
@@yout1556 bro thats why i said watch rj raunks video on diwali he showed with proofs that carckers existed in india from the 8th centuries and even in holy hinduisim books its mentioned hence burdting crackers is an ancient indian tradition
@@TheBigDaddyStudios the impact of colonial mindset they destroyed our culture there was no need of britishers to introduce in bharat crackers existed in bharat from a long time these britishers took all credit of that was good in bharat and gave everything bad to the bharat
This does not explain how bursting crackers is going to help an already polluted atmosphere. This is just talking about an inefficient government incapable of curbing air pollution. This does not mean that bursting crackers is a righteous thing to do.
Illiterate then why allow plastic trees on Christmas, why allow mass murder of animals increasing methane during islamic festivals. Why fire crackers are burst in new year and any political celebrations or marriage. Why only attack our religion Illiterate?
the problem lied in schools too as teachers are teaching main reason are fire crackers as main reason for pollution in Delhi. I remember my class teacher told us to write an essay why should we not burn crackers and she told us many points and our school awarded those students who have green Diwali. I remember when prizes were given, crackers burst in the washroom back to back. thanks to my sst teacher she told us the real reason of it stubborn burning.
Namaste 🙏 Keerthi
Hi Keerthi Maam.
I loved the video and I am really interested in history. I hope one day you could make a video on the Chalukyas and Rashtrakutas of Karnataka. It's a fascinating concept
I feel it is'nt talked about as much as it should be, and I hope you could explain about that
Thank You and Happy Deepavali!
Finally, someone spitting facts ❤
Yes, so much environmental degradation going on we should add more by burning crackers.
What happened to true purpose of why we celebrate diwali and how we should try alternatives instead of burning money by buying crackers.just because crackers are not on top 10 list doesn't mean we can use it without any concern.
Exactly right...true meaning of diwali is something else...
A true eye-opener..as I too being a kid had quit bursting crackers upon being told so by my teachers...which is fair but obviously not absolute reason for pollution.
What about animals in war riden countries like Russia, Ukraine, Isreal, and Palestine? Think about them too.
@@ashanair2361 how is that related to what we are talking now? Yes it's sad, it's sad wherever it happens. People, children, animals all are dying there. And I 'm sad for that as well
The cigarette example was top notch stupidity. I don't smoke cigarettes if someone else smokes I can get away from them. But in times of Diwali people who have lung diseases are forced to breathe the air pollutants and smoke caused by crackers. If you want to die, please go and die what will an old man who has lung and heart disease do... what can a kid who has asthma do?
Exactly!! Yes, bursting crackers are not causing major pollution. But at the end of the day, it is contributing to air and noise pollution. And bursting crackers was never our tradition.
@@Venkat_._.V-y6m Hope People will be educated in such things, but influencers like these channels are diverting crowd in a very wrong path, only God has to show a way.
100% agreed
Don't u think cigarettes killing more people than crackers. Why u hising that are u a smoker?
@@JUSTFORFUN-cd5dd Smoking causes harm to oneself not others (if smoked in smoking area only).. while bursting crackers is causing harm to others
I grew up seeing my Grandparents celebrating Diwali with fire crackers and diyas. At some point in my life I lost interest celebrating Diwali. However, for this year I had a full-blown Diwali celebration with much crackers and other fireworks.
Ya, then pollute the air
Thank you Kirthi di you explained it very easily. Even i thinks that the reason of pollution level rise in north India during winters is Deepawali. but now I got it. I am from sonipat, a city in Delhi NCR region in Haryana. And congrats for winning National Creators award , you are best storyteller .
Sister your videos are not only sharing information and also remembering childhood days tradition We lived . God bless you
I am a Hindu and am not against Diwali, but our ancestors did not have crackers and they also celebrated Diwali with lamps, so why can't we?
edited ;-ok so after some research i got to know that firecraker used in ancient time also
but still as population in recent time is huge as compare to ancient time so firecrakes do not affect much that time but nowadays on the day of diwali whole india burst crakers which creates large amount of hazardous substance in one night and at the same time winters are there so all the fumes gets stuck in atmosphere which can definetly cause severe problem
at the end we are not totaly quit this but yes we can limit this atleast:)
Please research on History😊
@@XYZ_Shots_Cut ok i didn't know about it can you tell
@@XYZ_Shots_Cutfirecrackers came in India about the Time period of 1400 AD, before that Hindus celebrated without firecrackers
You are absolutely wrong. Firecrackers are mentioned in many Puranas (at least 2500 years old), the paintings of crackers in 1500+ year old temples... do some research before you blabber
@ChidVanhi yes thank you 🙂
i read about this
but still i am on my point and do not support firecrakes 🙂
The government can't ban the top 10 polluting reasons as they are contributing much more importance to our country's economy and giving more employment while comparing these firecrackers...
My conclusion is that we shouldn't ban the firecrackers totally but there must be a limit for firing crackers individually so that our tradition can be followed..
Ur right as well but at least some precautions should be taken to reduce the pollution for the top ten reasons, right?
Your look about a topic is always different and it is real. Thanking you for sharing ❤
The most needed vdo...❤️ Great work Keerthi ❣️ lots of best wishes to u ✨❣️

That's true sis but scaring the animals is true, people with pets may know that. On another account why would i burn the money i could use that to help thw orphans
Exactly...proud of youu❤
this diwali instead of spending my money on crackers, i spent my money for poor peoples we prestented them new clothes and bought and present basic things for them and we feed food for some abandoned street dogs and puppies. celebrate diwali by FEEDING POOR PEOPLES 🙏🏼 Love you all.
Yesss exactlyyyyy!!!
We need more people like you in this world who understand the real importance of festival rather than personal want....❤

Very informative with appropriate data and statistics.
Great work Keerthi.

Keeping animals & environment aside. But even common people suffer a lot due to diwali crackers. When people burst crackers which cause sound then old people suffer with heart attack...
I am not saying to ban crackers but then we can burst less sound crackers
They enjoyed in their childhood na
@@jothikhanna2235 yeah but these days these sound crackers go even after 12 at night in our area....
Correct.. it's a bad karma to enjoy at the cost of others pain.. people here can't understand that point.... Antha Maya..
Santa was not part of original Christmas, same way some aspect are included with time. Firecracker are 600 year old. Even Lakshmi pujan was not originally a part of Diwali. This is just a process where people adopt something to make the festival more cheerful
There is no doubt …pollution increases if whole country using fire crackers on a single day… it’s common sense. Don’t pull religious sentiments in this…
Try to stop or minimize the use of fire crackers for ANY festival/celebration.
Yeah exactly!! I'm strictly against fire crackers...it's the bare minimum we can do in today's world...
