Just found you today and subscribed! YT algo 😊 Excellent video. The advice on "just do it", as well as the summary of prohibiting factors is so true. And, this problem and advice translates to many areas of life not just TH-cam content creators. Fellow AuDhD parent 🤗
Burning out...? CONSTANTLY! LOL But truly, there is inherent struggle to the advocacy in that we are EXPERIENCING the conditions we champion! I think you're right on it in that the spoons and the intentions don't always line-up (aka the "Want-To and Can-Do"). That said, I thoroughly appreciate the encouragement as an artist/creator. Taking solace in the idea that it's authentic and honoring to my ND life experiences to take a "non-linear approach"😅... I think you're right on NOT putting so much pressure and simply DOING SOMETHING GENUINE! Bless you, lighting a signal fire out here, Tribe! 🎆 -Spooky J the Bard
Wise words! Authentic over perfectionism 👌 personally sometimes I find it hard to document the struggles because I'm in the struggles! Experience at vlogging will hopefully help with my ability to capture ND authentically warts and all!
You put effort in to making content and it takes hours and hours and no one subscribes. You try to help and it makes you wonder what the point is if no one will support you back ❤ it's like you give and everyone takes. I'm moaning because it's not fair ❤
It feels that way I know. That's why when I have videos that don't get much views I ask myself, well, did I learn something by talking about that topic? If yes, then I try to be ok with few views. When I make it introspective rather than waiting for the outside validation, that helps me get through the low view counts.
I'm sure your kids would agree. For me, despite the difficulties I've had with my dad, him being on the spectrum has enriched me in so many ways. I hope I can give some of this to my kids too.
Love the sound of that book about fast minds - sounds very relevant for me! Personally I've reduced content recently due to my degree in special needs and inclusive practice. May is assignment time so a few too many plates in the air right now! I refuse to stop though. Excited to upload way more once my deadline is passed! This video is so informative and supportive ❤️🩹 thank you!
You're doing a degree in special needs and inclusive practice? wow. I'd love to chat with you in person (online of course since I live in Switzerland). Mayber after you exams and in the 2nd half of June we can arrange a chat?
