Just like you, your desk is top notch! Cool, neat, minimal, just what you need, and well thought out. It was a fun video to watch. Thank you, Sanjay C.
Love this style of vid!! Have you thought about doing a what’s on my computer type video? Maybe show off your plugin collection and which ones you use most etc
Im a new follower, lifelong creative, and cannot thank you enough how helpful your content has been. Haven’t made music long time (years). My whole life I’ve always been an artist and I’ve always thrived off of creating. Recently, I guess I had a quarter life crisis and bought every toy in guitar center I wanted. I thought I was depressed but turned out I just needed to make music the whole fucking time lol. Cheers! You’re awesome
Man how extremely helpful was this video! Especially the TS3Plus . That’s exactly what I needed In order to run multiple midi devices without unplugging and plugging in all the time on my Mac.
If a mic is dynamic, that just means it doesn't require electricity to work, as opposed to a condenser mic which may need a battery or "phantom power", and has nothing to do with the pickup pattern. Pickup patterns may be "omnidirectional" or "directional" (cardioid, hyper-cardioid) or a "figure 8."
Oh man! I can’t wait to see your review on the Neuman NDH30s! I’m trying to decide between those and the Beyerdynamic DT1990. I know your opinion will help a lot😊
I absolutely loved this video and i am so happy you will be doing these videos when your desk changes now and then thank you so much Sanjay C, love your content
@@SanjayC yes absolutely Sanjay C thx so much, your content helps me so much with music production and recommending us a lot of awesome gear thank you Sonjay C

Very, very, very interestingly presented. And such good gear. Best quality gear. Would like to have so many of these, so for example this hardware compressor and the way the audio signal goes to it and causes magic. And finally this incredible cute doggy. What a nice video by Sanjay C again. It could have lasted twice as long and would still have been very interesting. 👍🏻👏🏻🙏🏻👏🏻👍🏻
Hello Mr Sanjay C , its been a while since I've watched your videos . Currently I'm going to get my MicroFreak soon . Also I'm learning Saxophone for solo instrument sections of my tunes. Thank You for your content. Helps me most of the time :D
I am so glad I stumbled onto your site and became a Subscriber. I'm a bit older, and have some music experience. Used to play live a great deal, owned (a long time ago) a lot of Roland equipment. Then, because of personal reasons / family reasons I had to let it go.... (sigh) I wish to step back in, and am searching for a larger keyboard with a nice feel to the keys with which I can just simply play and record GarageBand in my Mac. I would, sincerely, appreciate any suggestions. My days of live-playing are behind me. Just hoping you can recommend a larger keyboard that is otherwise quite simple for controlling GarageBand, with which the keys feel fairly like a real piano. - I've played quite a few pianos in my day. Some were like an orchestra beneath my fingers. Some had only the black keys working and I still played music for hours. Those were the days.....
Always inspiring with home studio presentations. Hmm... interesting with the three sound cards! I have the old Apollo 8 and then I use my Apollo Twin as a travelling studio sound card. Instead of two Apollo 8 I use an Adat witch gives me the extra inputs for my synths. I have Fantom 8 under my table and on my side a one size smaller Native keyboard. On my table I also have like you a sequential synth without keyboard, mine is a Prophet 10. Happy weekend Sanjay C!
Fun video, Sanjay. What about your large background TV/Monitor? I am also interested in your acoustic wall treatments and how you light them. I have large Psy Acoustics panels that I love which combine the acoustics function into a beautiful work of art.
idea for the scroll wheel; program it so that you can zoom in and out of your DAW projects or for navigating across the timeline. Hope that gives you some inspiration for the scroll wheel Sanjay.
Ugh, but the compressor tho! Would love to try one out! I’m running my bae through a comp 3A right now and getting great results, but I’ve heard the CL 1B is truly special.
Lovely studio Sanjay.. I have been always admiring your work and your knowledge of latest gear. question for your though. Is all your gear connected to you mac right away ? or do you keep connecting and disconnecting the gear when you use them. Request : Please do make a video how to connect all the gear to you computer and have it ready for use all the time.
Thank you! Everything is connected to my Mac by USB hub or that CalDigit dock I showed. Of course I have other gear that I connect every now and then like synths. Those aren't always connected.
Hey, Question. I have my controller keyboard in a drawer, like you - but when it’s out, it’s a reach for my keyboard/track pad. I’d prefer to have my keyboard up on the desk, but there just isn’t enough room and yet, the reach to/from the keyboard is a pain. My midi controller is a Novation LaunchKey MK3 and I’ve programmed extra functions into the knobs, buttons, faders and pads, just to avoid reaching for the keyboard / track pad. The idea is that when the keyboard drawer is out, I try to minimize reaching and do everything from the midi controller.
Yeah, this is a problem I have sometimes too. I use the NI S88 keyboard so there's space to place my trackpad on it if I need to. I don't think you have that space on the Novation though
Great looking set up you have there Sanjay, but I think your music would still be great on lower budget options because it's the artist not to tools who make the music.
7:43 Not just for Mac though! If you've got Thunderbolt 3 on your computer, you can use this! ... And my new PC will have at least one Thunderbolt 3 port.
I'm presently using the Audient ID14 mkii Audio interface. It has great preamps that I love. I'm not a fan of analogue gears because I believe their time is gone and there are great plugins that can do the job rather than waste money on analogue gears. Great engineers are now mixing totally in the box and mastering using plugins. So I'm looking for a 2 channel interface that has the balance of great mic preamp and prestine mastering grade D/A and A/D converters. Do you think I will get any additional benefit upgrading to a Prism Lyra 2 Audio interface as against using the Audient ID14 mki
Hey buddy. The Barefoots are awesome. But I need to compare them to some other high end speakers before I review them. I just wish they had on board eq controls.
Nice info bro. I' use Ableton also on Windows laptop.... I want to switch to Apple M1 but I'm concern about a learning curve. Do you have any suggestions?

Having trouble integrating the Oxygen Pro Mini directly with Ableton Live, any chance you can create a video detailing how to do so? Thanks so much, love your content!
Yes, a general explanation would be nice. The default config for Oxygen Pro Mini is stored at "Resources / MIDI Remote Scripts", and I assume that doesn't fit for you. If you want a custom config on every new project, you have to write a special "MIDI Remote Script" for your controller.

out of curiosity, why do you use a trackpad over a mouse?
One reason: it’s silent. When I make videos especially at the desk, I don’t want the mic to pick up mouse clicking sounds. :-)
