I have a 49 keyboard on a rolling keyboard stand that lives under my desk until i roll it out. I think it’s really nice for space saving, and ergonomics? I can use my computer keyboard short cuts and my midi piano at the same time without reaching far across the desk. Plus it’s easy to roll that back under and roll forward on my chair back to normal. I have a clip on mouse pad that extends out from the desk next to the midi keyboard, for when the piano pushes me further out so I can try to keep a better arm position.
What a great video, for a moment I saw myself doing this all the time with all my hardware. Came to the conclusion, less cables, more use! So I did a hybrid setup, the 404 is a sound card too.
Nice breakdown of your process. I always pick up some useful info from each of your videos. You have been helping me get my music room right for a couple of years now. Keep up the great work. Have a great holiday season Taetro!!!
I love the thought you put into this. I did something similar, sold my interface and and a bunch of stuff. now. Just an sm57 into 404 mkII to computer with USB C. So good with just one cable
You forgot a must-have. Kitty to help with desk assembly!! 🤣 Thanks for this vid. I’ve been struggling with my setup and you helped me figure some stuff out. ❤
holy moly man this is amazing. Thank you for sharing!! I've always built a half functional studio desk and having to unplug, plug cables over and over again, or even just constantly dreading having to use my laptop to create any bit of sound. Gonna use your layout for my next spaceship for sure haha
just finished the video, and honestly you gave me some inspiration! i'd love to see a deepdive video into what goes into connecting that pretty machine under the desk into the setup, im really curious at why you are not ready, since im un familiar with this machine.
I very much love the idea of the sit/stand desk. My make shift desk I have is in a standing position. It’s a little harder to move up and down: it’s a painted board on some side tables.😝 I can tell you’re super stoked about your new set up! And it’s not a kitchen table anymore! 😆 lol This was also very calming to watch, it fed my design aesthetic yearning for neat and tidy spaces. 😊 Also I’m breaking out my sketch pad to complete my own setup now. Gotta rethink some things. Thanks for the tip on that. Plan before you execute… right?
Really nice setup...SP how obvious...def going to get it onto my desk sooooo a no-brainer, SP just keeps on giving. Love the desk set-up, has given me some inspiration to do a rebirth with mine....
I like how you going towards hardware with time ❤ For me after buying hardware synth I finally started to Crete music at least somewhat regularly - cause it's so much fun 😅 I also have Microcosm and it's perfect pedal for me. Thanks for sharing!
This was a great video, thank you! I'm in the process of building a "new" home studio. I'm only purchasing what I need as I discover it's needed. It's saved me money and it's made me really think about whether or not I need a particular something.
I love the setup. I also sketch out my solutions before getting started. // The desk is beautiful and the undershelf is genius! // lastly, I think you might have just sold me an Audiofuse. :)
I just remodeled my studio- I have 2 desk in my studio now; one just for music and it’s minimal asf and the other desk is just for business work so I understand yah 😂
I been loving AUM, Cubasis 3 and IOS cause i can have 30 machines all in the palm of my hands, just plug a mic in and bam ! I don't even use midi keyboard cause the touch ios app's came a long way just maybe some studio headphones. Best part it's mobile.
Taetro, been addicted to your channel lately. Love your sharing's. But one thing that always grabs my attention are those stickers. How do you do the cut outs for the knobs and buttons so perfectly?
all you need is a computer, DAW, mouse and keyboard, speakers..... you should get a good laptop for computer and a nice pair of headphones for speakers and thas perfect
Yes the desk features make sense: 1) Making sure the speakers won't fall off the edge, 2) Headphone holders, 3) the cable space areas and shelf space not being too tall, 4) storage space underneath, 5) adjust the height of the desk. I like how you planned everything out based on what are your needs. The fact you can record without your laptop is really cool. Where will you place your video camera for recording your TH-cam videos and Instagram Reels along with your lightening? I am also curious to how you would setup for a live performance? That could be a great topic for another video.
Can I ask what are the specs of your Mac ? I am dreeeeaaaming of a setup like this but with headphones only and to plug my strymon pedals into my op1 and microcosm … I d love à Quick chat about doability of it
I got the Novation Launchkey 37 MK3 with is actually just enough for my needs. I'll maybe buy an Novation Launch Control XL MK2 because with the 24 Knobs you're able to completly control even the biggest software synths, which is pretty cool. After that maybe a nice studio mic with a new audio interface. But that's not mandatory since I haven't the best singing voice anyway. :D I already got a guitar, so more isn't really needed to make so (hopefully) good music.
I enjoyed that video, thanks. I'm only just starting out with Ableton and trying to get some kind of setup and space (or a lack of space) is a big factor for me and I need to keep my setup small. I'm not too clued up on what I'm doing and your videos are very helpful to me. I really like the SP404 and hope to get one soon but want to find my way around Ableton first as I think if I get the SP404 now I will spend too much time on that and not learning to play what I have and how to use Ableton 😂
awesome! how is your lemondrop orange and not yellow? haha more importantly: do i understand correctly that the midi out from the yamaha goes to the lemondrop (with a dongle in between right? or a mini din to trs midi jack cable?) and the other midi (to laptop, to and from launchpad) goes via usb via the audio interface?
I had no idea the launch pad at midi out wtffff I have the behringer tc64 recognized as a launchpad in ableton but I always thought it would be great on my synths
I am inspired by your creativity. I recently bought an Akai MPK mini and I can't figure out how to use the prog change button in ableton. how do I switch between tracks in a live performance like you?
The best music production setup is the one you can afford.
Agreed lol
YUP!!
On point
That's the only one I have lol
Yeah i got pirat fl😆

bravo..so much utility, that lemondrop unit sounds great...

Vid came at the perfect time. That desk seems perfect for my space. Def will be saving up for it
having a setup thats quick to go when you want to make music is so important !
I am re watching this video to prepare for my own home studio make over. Great content.
I love the thought you put into this. I did something similar, sold my interface and and a bunch of stuff. now. Just an sm57 into 404 mkII to computer with USB C.

Microcosm sounds beautiful, I might get that pedal.

I wish I had a setup like this, the convenience is crazy.
this is so inspiring! time for me to change up my desk now haha
Tell them it's... TAETRO😎.
I love the setup. I also sketch out my solutions before getting started. // The desk is beautiful and the undershelf is genius! // lastly, I think you might have just sold me an Audiofuse. :)
It's... its beautiful 🥺

So dope, now I need a no computer set-up too!
Great desk end Great setup!
Simple efficiency, greetings from Paris :-)
Just found your channel, and really love the breakdown and gear talk content. Thank you for this!
wonderful music creation station! Thnks for sharing your workflow.
this kinda video is totally awesome! i like Sassy Taetro🎉🎉
Reface CP as main keyboard. Yes! Same
this setup is like a synth plugin but in real life, that's fun
Try the "generation loss" effect... it will be gamechanger for yout music. Have you considered it?
Thanks for the walkthrough! This is inspirational for sure.
I am happy with my setup:
Launchpad Pro MK3
Launchcontrol XL
WindowsPC
Kraken X USB Headset
you are a truth artist 🤟
I hate PC screens, your setup is like a dream!
your setup looks fire, i like the desk!
microphone boom arm would do wonders for you tate.
you can adjust it from any angle in one motion.
For camera?

That setup is perfect
Great video! Really good inspiration and a lot of useful ideas
Lately i see that JBL audio monitors in a lot of studios... are they better than the KRK Rokit 5? Sometimes i feel tempted to change my monitors...
very wholesome video n setup

With a scalpel!
Good stuff man 🙏🏻
Amazing video!! Wonderful set up!!
Hologram is the company and microcosm is the pedal
This is dope, inspired to reset up my lab
Very Cool Setup!

all you need is a computer, DAW, mouse and keyboard, speakers..... you should get a good laptop for computer and a nice pair of headphones for speakers and thas perfect
I wanna know about your desk. Was it ordered for a custom built. I need to explain this to the carpenter.
are those monitors though? the white speakers. They look nice

What a video bro. Thanks lml ! Could you share some information about the wireless microphone you use in the video? I was curious about it
The setup is nice!!!!
Funny how everyone overlook room acoustics!
your handwriting is fantastic but in our ever increasing digital lives I forgot how uncomfortable I get seeing how other people hold pens.

dude who are u talking to?
I love the furniture, Taetro.
But how's the sound of those small monitors? Are they reliable for monitoring?
I enjoyed that video, thanks. I'm only just starting out with Ableton and trying to get some kind of setup and space (or a lack of space) is a big factor for me and I need to keep my setup small. I'm not too clued up on what I'm doing and your videos are very helpful to me. Does the sp404 have a sequencer like the launchpad ?

Best Studio setup is where the neighbors don't suck.
very true
You are missing Unison software, you know, best plugins in the world that you promoted :P
im glad theyre working out for you earl!
@@Taetro LOL good comeback:)
The aesthetics in your videos are from abdromeda
What does it mean!
Thanks bud
how about just having a great midi keyboard and ableton push and a universal audio volt 276 ?
That will be totally sufficient
Hi!!! Could you suggest some alternatives to the Arturia Audiofuse? I’m reading some issues about it, even on the rev2…
im so curious, what camera do you have on the roof? love the angle and how it shows the entire room
I am inspired by your creativity. I recently bought an Akai MPK mini and I can't figure out how to use the prog change button in ableton. how do I switch between tracks in a live performance like you?
good setup i just change the reface for a keystep37
What model of desk do you have actually? They seem super legit
Nvmd. I figured it out. Awesome vid!
Dude! You lost me at $400 for the Lemondrop. Thanks for the video though.
What are the monitors called
I need to play guitar vocals and synths and groove box and record to SD while making a video with the same quality as SD recording . Will this do it ?
how do you afford all this? LOL! I love the setup man looks really beautiful and fun to work with! Cheers!
Did you get the 48in desk or larger version? Rad setup and video
The larger version!
Thanks bro- always love your detailed videos over the years.
You should have just bought an AKAI MPC Key 61, a pair of Presonus Eris XT5 speakers and a mic of your choice.
Nah
Where's the guitars?
Can you use this set up in pro tools
if you're asking this you don't need to be using pro tools
Does anyone know the name of the beat at 5:36 or if he has even made it into a full beat.
how do you export all this into mp3?
Why you did not use midi
Did that desk riser on the top of the desk come with it?
Yes!
@@Taetro really wish I didn’t buy the most basic one now 🤨
6:10 Giga Chad??? lol
are you still in korea?
