    Great idea. As a skater and camera geek this hits the spot. It would be cool to know memorable stuff about the gear too like favorite trick/sequence filmed with it, times it got wrecked, and airport security stories lol. Especially with carrying film 🎞.
    I see a lot of what looks like 8mm/16mm transitions in skate parts these days so it would be cool to see the setups for that too if they’re not emulating (or they could chat about how they emulate).

    I met Rune Glifberg earlier this year and asked him about his Xpan which he then took off and just handed to me to look at 😂. Very nerve wracking

  • @256k_

    damn dude, an XPAN for 1k is insane deal. such a good camera.
    also i didn't catch what's the main nikon camera model is? is it aps-c? is that why he's using a 10.5 fisheye?

    • @karimarfaowi
      @karimarfaowi 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      D800 but he's using the 10,5 fisheye to get a wider view. With that setup he almost gets a complete black circle (vignette) around the image but crops it out in post. I do the same!

    • @256k_
      @256k_ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@karimarfaowi ok yeah makes sense now! cool idea for sure, thanks for the tip.

    • @CertainExposures
      @CertainExposures 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah he could make money on selling it lol. I noticed that too. That aspect ratio is too nice to give up though.

    • @256k_
      @256k_ 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@CertainExposures nah if I had one I’d never sell it. I think it’s the only true 35mm pano camera. I was actually thinking of buying a 6x9 body and using 35mm holder to get crazy panorama shots on 35

      @Erik-cq4vc 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@256k_ There is another from Fuji called the G617 however it's way less "portable" than the Xpan.

  • @erikleypoldt8275
    @erikleypoldt8275 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Whats a modern day flash setup?

    • @Erik-cq4vc
      @Erik-cq4vc 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      It varies, but most people would have multiples of the Nikon SB24 he was mentioning, rather than the Lumedyne.

    • @QUINPANO
      @QUINPANO 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I see a lot of godox and profoto flashes when I'm watching all the newer skate videos. That's kind of what everyone uses nowadays in the industry. Especially the godox stuff since you get a lot of bang for your buck and it's easy to transport.

    • @andywissman
      @andywissman 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Godox triggers can easily hypersync much faster than pocketwizard/lumedynes. You can use 2 to 3 speed lights in tight with fisheye and sync 1/1000th or even higher.

    I need to cut the hood off my sigma 10mm fisheye tbh, its cheeper than buying the canon fisheye (800 usd is waaaay outa budget). However I need to figure out how lol
