    Torrey spoke about the length of his deck and the importance of it. SKATEBOARD COMPANIES AND MAILORDERS NEED TO POST THE LENGTH SIZE THAT STUFF IS IMPORTANT!
    I’ve seen so many places that don’t post the length or the length size that’s posted is WRONG! Thank youuuuuu!

      AGREED! give me all the details... tail length, wheelbase, nose length, and concave steepnes AND are the kicks mellow, medium or steep.
      Companies won't though... they'll sell fewer decks if people start wanting very specific specs.

      the working theory I've heard is that without the shields dirt goes in, but also back out, so stuff doesn't hang out long enough to gunk up/rust stuff out. I kept the shields off a set of Bones Reds the last time I did some maintenance, and they have actually stayed fairly fast and smooth for months. So, while that's not science, it didn't immediately gunk them up the way I thought....plus it looks cool, so there's that.

    • @ryanwalters3531
      @ryanwalters3531 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I looked at the wheelbase and length of most Thank You decks from the Tactics Boardshop website because they list the size, wheelbase, and length of all of their boards. The length of their size 8 decks show a 31.3 which is really short for an 8 deck. Typically, I see anywhere between a 31.5-31.75 length to be the average. The wheelbase is 14 for their size 8 decks. You can see a lot of size 8 decks to have a 14 inch wheelbase, but 14.25 is more common. Most 7.75 decks I see have a 14 inch wheelbase or very close.
      You are very correct that what he skates is extremely close to a 7.75. If anything, the only thing that has changed is the width of the deck for him. The rest of the deck dimensions for what Torey rides haven’t moved to what you would expect from a typical size 8 deck. The length and wheelbase is essentially the same as what he used to skate. I can understand where Torey is coming from because I have been skating 7.75 decks for such a long time and have only moved to an 8 inch deck the past year. I too have a size 8 foot as well and thought that your foot size and height should be proportionate to the skateboard. That’s not really true for everyone, but its something I keep in consideration.
