    That was fun just watching Miss Oakley get wore out! LOL...all joking a side, that was some nice crack clean-out...🧐🧐😁😁 Great Job!!! Thanks Tim for Lee...

      Ha ha, yes, Miss Oakley got hot enough that she laid down in the creek for about ten minutes to cool off. Once she made it into the recliner when we got home, she didn't move all night!

    Tim, thank you for giving Lee the opportunity to dredge your property.

      Yes, thank you Tim! It was so cool to have the opportunity to play in a creek untouched for 5 years.

    I use to go the Cotton Patch when I was a young lad with my dad. Lots of fun. Glenn Nance owned it back then, and then Royal Dean for a while. It has changed hands several more times since those days. The "Patch" and Mountain Creek Gold Mine across the hill have always been allot of fun for me and made some fond memories of better times in my life.

      It's interesting how many times the property has changed hands. A son of the man who owned it in the 70's & 80's said his dad would let people dredge there for a flat fee. In only 40 years, the creek has recaptured an impressive amount of gold from bank erosion as you can see from the recent dredging video where I got close to 4 grams in one day. The same spot probably held ounces when gold was first discovered there.

      I very rare opportunity to see that much gold. He has a real gold mine there that hasn't been exhausted (at least in the creek)

    Tim is a good man. The legal situation seems to be a bit difficult for you.
    Great creek, Lee. bedrock and nice bags.
    We love that. Three beautiful days.
    I liked seeing it. Stay Golden pal, Peter ⚒👍🤠

      LOL, true, it's not a finder's, keeper's situation but he's the one paying property taxes so I'm very happy with our arrangement. He can see if buying a dredge is going to be worth it and also gets some basic knowledge of the operation, though Tim seems very proficient already. I don't bring much to the party other than free gas and a couple of soft drinks!

    What a run! Oakley was excited about all the gold you guys found to rest. Man picker town. I have to make a trip there thanks Tim for letting Mr Hendrix shoot this video and pan your claim. Killer run.

      @soggybottomgoldprospecting3586 ปีที่แล้ว

      I tried calling to go pan but they said recreational gold prospecting was closed since 2016. Sad state of affairs definitely big shout out to Tim for letting Mr Hendrix on the claim. Uwharrie doesn’t have anything on cotton patch mine. Exceeding your 0.05 goal per bucket for good ground.

    Never been there but i have been to the other mine right close to cotton patch,that is where i got my 1st piece of gold.

      Tim was telling me about Mountain Creek and how it's set up. One of the mine owners drove by and talked to us a minute and I think that will be something to check out as well. New London is a unique and very cool area.

      @LeeHendrixGold  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, that smaller dredge is the perfect size for a small creek like that where the bedrock is so shallow

    Loved that place in 80s up to 05 but it was sold and the new owners run ya off if you stop by, turned into a strange RV park that don't take kindly to strangers and everyone is a stranger. Was a terrible thing you can read all sorts of messed up reviews online after the sale, creepy stuff. Was my favorite place hell we had birthdays and family events there in the past.

    • @LeeHendrixGold
      @LeeHendrixGold  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Tim said he wished there was a way he could get the bad reviews down prior to him taking ownership which was this past November. He has spruced up the campground and I love his general store. Maybe I'll get some video of it to share next time.

      @@BenzoGold79 I don't know if he will re-open the mine again but he was telling me about Daniel's operation (Mountain Creek) next to him and it sounds like a pretty good deal. I'd like to catch up with the Carolina Boys again and that would be something new to try out 🤔
