The Serbia game was a better moment. We lose that game without Curry going for 36. He kept us in the game until the 4th quarter. But that last 3 mins was Legendary Olympic moment. That was the greatest shot in Olympic history, and maybe top 5 in basketball history. It was a Gold medal close out game. It’s up there with Ray Allen vs Spurs, Jordan ‘98 the Shot, ‘08 Kobe vs Spain , Kyrie and Lebron vs Warriors, Jordan switch hands in Finals, Magic vs Celtics “Sky Hook”. Horry vs Magic ‘95 Finals. Perk is right. It’s not about that particular shot, but the set of daggers in the last 2 minutes that led up to that shot. 2 minutes was way more than enough for France to have taken full control but Steph’s set of daggers changed the trajectory and solidified Gold for USA.
And at the moment Steph took over, Bron had some mistakes and they sat him to rest and talk to him a minute. Team USA had just lost a huge lead and they were shook. But While Bron sat Steph just said to everyone “calm down,” give me the ball and get out of the way. And then proceeded to dominate that France team in a way I’ve never seen. I mean the French were leaving KD and Bron wide open to throw everything at Steph and they still couldn’t stop him. Legendary performance and for those few moments Steph elevated himself to a whole new level above anything we’ve seen in our lifetimes of watching basketball.
It’s not just that one shot, but the sequence. Steph took a game that was within three with 2:30 left, a single game to decide gold, and put it to bed with four straight threes. Yeah, that last one was absolutely ridiculous, but it’s the sequence that made it legendary.
Don't know who mustache guy is but I disagree. Without Curry getting insanely hot from 3 and going 17/26 in the semi-final and final game Team USA would NOT have won. That last shot over the 2 defenders was just the dagger, but France had some momentum and could have very well come back. As for Serbia they could have very well won the semi-final game if not for Curry's heroic. Good on Perk for mentioning the other shots Curry hit and not just that one.

I 100% expected that ball to go in, Dan, 100%. Maybe because I've been watching Steph as a Warriors fan his entire career. I've seen this too many times. He's more likely to miss a wide open shot than this one. When it's not perfect, when it's scramble mode, or last second gotta force it, he's always hitting those shots. It's not luck either, it's practice. He's the type of psycho that practices these situations for hours. Loose ball to quick 3pt shot that you might see once a month in real games in the NBA, yet he works on that. We've seen him do that in big moments in the playoffs, and this one shot was coming after three makes, at that point he's not missing. Still amazing, but for those of us who have watched him, we knew it was going in before he even took the shot.
KD was great. Taking nothing away from him after coming back from injury and dominating. But the way Steph took over those last two elimination games…. That was different.

And Put them to SLEEP! He kept raining 3’s down on them like it was nothing! And that last one was just insane!
The stage is what makes it a unbelievable moment and all time moment. The crowd was all for France, the calls were all for France, everyone outside of America wanted the US team to fail and in that moment this man carried a country. No hesitation, critics criticizing his first couple games, calling him LeBrons role player, I will say it like this in the words of Steph Curry "You don't have to worry about me".
You just have to look at the French bench and players as Steph kept making those threes in the last two minutes to feel their anguish just piling on. That last shot was amazing.
Steph won that. The other teams had been attacking Steph all Olympics. It showed you who the world thinks is really a threat. LeBron might be the face but Curry is the one who changed the game. The world play like Steph. Facts. Curry delivered. Give him his credit. On a team full of some of the best talent in the world; they deferred to him. That says enough. This was a classic performance. He put them to sleep. “NIGHT NIGHT”.
Entire NBA reputation takes a hit if Curry doesn't put on the cape for America. That’s how incredible of a performance it was watching Chef be the hero for his country
Best moment in my basketball watching career😂 But as a diehard Dubs fan, I wanted to say something: Is it slander to say that Steph pulled a Klay in the Gold medal match? I mean… streaky af for 3 mins. That wasn’t Steph. That was signature Klay. It was like the Splash Bros in one body.
Definitely the best in Olympic history. Maybe the VC dunk over Frederic Weis is the closest moment that compares, but this moment was clutch, it was in a higher stakes match, and most of all, it wasn’t some bs blowout game; it was a very strong game from both teams and for him to hit it over two of the better perimeter defenders in the nba with Nick Batum and Evan Fournier to ice the game is CRAZY

Joe had it wrong. Yes, Curry last double team 3 with 45 seconds to go may not be needed for the US to win. But that shot, literally destroyed EVERYONE on the French team, you look at the French bench reaction after that shot, they know Curry will just throw back at them no matter what they do, you don't turn the gas off on an Olympic Gold Medal match no matter if you trail by 20, France did in the last 40 seconds 9 points down. Situational wise, that shot is completely necessary to basically destroy their opponent.
The shot in a vacuum was already bonkers enough, but the timing made it much better. Team USA was playing like scrubs, lots of turnovers, dumb passes, fouls... overall bad play and france with a lot of momentum rolling had brought the usa lead down to 3. Thats when steph started his run. And its not like france just laid over either, they were going shot for shot with steph, countering every punch steph delivered. That fourth and final 3 over 2 defenders, a true heatcheck, was what truly sealed the deal.

That shot was essential Tank Davis brick hand punch, the shots before was the first blows but needed the finishing punch to let you know you never had a chance
That shot wasn't a game winner, but it broke the French spirit and crowd. It was a great shot, but there are better ones like Reggie Millers, or Ray Allen's. That one helped LeBron win the title too. The difficulty was mind blowing.
That 4×100 for Phelps to get 8 is #1. The French were trash talking us. They had it on paper we have a minor chance to win then we're behind at the last leg and Lezak has to swim against the WR holder in the 100free and ran him down for USA gold and 8 for Phelps
Am I tripping? USA was up 3. Steph went on to hit 4 straight three pointers back to back to back to back and when he hit his fourth they were still up only 6, France was going crazy at the end. And even after all that, they only won by 4. The shot was absolutely necessary.

It is not how you start but how you finish....and Curry was on fire when he was needed the most.
Dan did a Outstanding Job on this take good job D'O 💪🏿😤
And this what we, Warriors fans have all these yearssss
Steph Curry was phenomenal in his debut at the Olympics, helped lead USA to Olympic Gold! Steph is a truly once in a generation talent 👏👏👏👏
Mustache guy's point would have stood if that was the only shot he made, but he made three other incredible shots in the two minutes prior
I remember where I was when Dan scored 2 for the other team😂
Steph Curry MVP
I swear I was going to comment on the straight-up diabolical nature of that mustache before Dan made his comment. Comedy
Top five for sure
Steph is the GOAT🐐🐐🐐
Curry would have dominated the 90s. Imagine scrubs like John Stockton and Steve Kerr having to guard him. He moves like reggiie miller but can create a shot off the dribble with no help like iverson.
Gimme a break. FRANCE got back to a 3 point deficit The first 3 he made to put them up six started that Series of dagger 3 pointers!!! Its ridiculous! Its inevitable!!! It’s Stephortless!!! It’s crazy!! It’s monumental!!
The greatest shooter ever, Literally crushed France in their building! The iconic night night, afterwards makes him legendary!
It’s absolutely incredible!
They had shifted the momentum got back to a 3 point deficit & bogdanovic had been nailing threes all game!
If they tie that game It could have slipped away. Curry literally said NO.
And Put them to SLEEP!
He kept raining 3’s down on them like it was nothing!
And that last one was just insane!
Steph is the Greatest pg of all time magic Johnson could never 🗣️🙌🏽
The stage is what makes it a unbelievable moment and all time moment.
US vs Serbia will go down as a top 5 basketball game in history ….
Joe has been a Steph believer for years. Glad to see him on a higher platform now.
It wasn’t just THAT make… it was all the other ones in that 2 min span that led up to that heat check!
You just have to look at the French bench and players as Steph kept making those threes in the last two minutes to feel their anguish just piling on.
That last shot was amazing.
I agree with Perk! Steph Golden Dagger Curry is the PG to ever touch the basketball period!
IF Steph hasn't had these moments throughout his whole career, it would be special, but he just keeps doing this
headline should say, Curry went 4 for 4 from deep, 100% shooting %, in final two minutes
that’s amazing, not missing one shot
The LeBron block? And not the Kyrie shot?
The block is bigger than the shot
@@zojohnson9395delusional go ahead and watch the video
@@zojohnson9395 The block was bigger, without the block, there would be no shot
@@AngeloSevillano-z1o No block, there would be no shot.
@@zojohnson9395 Spoken like a true bronsexual.
in my house, it was like ohhh .... ohhhhh .... ohhhhhh ... ohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!! crazy lol shot after l shot after l shot after shot and that AFTER he closed the deal on Serbia so we were already watching... what he did in Serbia made it even better !!!! agree with Perk and Dan 100%
Many of us have had days like that where you just throw it up and you're so much in the zone everything goes in like magic - like 3 in 1 million... for lightning to strike like that in that moment at that time in the Olympics to close out games!!!!????? Bro that's crazy!!!
I get SAS needing a break from the show but what is shannon on vacation for? Hes here 2 days a week but gone more than anyone else
It's not football season
There's really nothing to talk about until college football season stsrts
@@GildedWarrior331 Dan is here and he doesn't get paid to talk about other sports like Shannon
@@madddoggnogood1491 the Olympics just ended. What are you talking about?
@@agentcodybanx8909
Unless it's basketball they're not talking about the Olympics on first take......not Shannon and sas anyway.
When college football starts that's when they'll both be back.
It was for the GOLD!!! In France against France!! How could that not be memorable!?!
You never disappoint!
Steph is like Thor..he was just waiting for someone to say, "Hey Steph we need your help to win this battle."😆🤣😆🤣😆😭😭
The mbappe volley to tie the world cup final was the most ballsy and insane shot I had ever personally seen live (on tv ofc).
Love to see y'all argue about how good he is... All of you win on this one!🎉💯
Watching the end of that game gave me a flashback like I was watching Steph at Davidson in the NCAA tournament.
USC vs Notre dame 2005. 4th and 9 with season on the line. Connection up the sideline.
Dan was hilarious 😂💀🤣 with that mustache so many comments we can’t say 💀🤣
Against the juggernaut of France. Little America with pluck and guile were somehow able to slay the mighty Goliath. What a great story.
It’s not just a shot, it was a flurry! That’s what made it iconic.
Curry’s Flurry made it impossible for France to claw back. It cemented USA’s victory and it happened at the clutch moments.
The shot takes the hope away from the opposition, gets the crowd to either quiet of cheer for him and releaves his teammates.
Quincy Hall's come from behind win in the mens 400m needs to be up there as well
Yes that and noahs 100 meters was better sport moments then curry’s shot recency bias and Americans thinking nba is king is why they are giving curry that love
Not the mustache 😂😭😭😭🤣
I remember the Ray Allen 3. LeBrons block. And now this.
Steph proving he’s the most underrated player in the NBA. People still saying he’s Top 20 GOAT at best and the debate still goes on whether he’s Top 10 or not. If his Olympic performance don’t turn the doubters, I don’t know what will
That shot was essential Tank Davis brick hand punch, the shots before was the first blows but needed the finishing punch to let you know you never had a chance
That last dagger just capped the series of shots that put the game away. Period.
That shot wasn't a game winner, but it broke the French spirit and crowd. It was a great shot, but there are better ones like Reggie Millers, or Ray Allen's. That one helped LeBron win the title too. The difficulty was mind blowing.
These two great players were born in Ohio on the same hospital and now there team up in Olympic Basketball and bagged the GOLD. What a great moments..
That 4×100 for Phelps to get 8 is #1. The French were trash talking us. They had it on paper we have a minor chance to win then we're behind at the last leg and Lezak has to swim against the WR holder in the 100free and ran him down for USA gold and 8 for Phelps
Not just U.S.A. viewers but worldwide viewers adds to the moment too.
Kobe 3 and one vs Spain , shhh to the crowd !!! That was insane !
It’s the culmination of the 2 minute span, which included the final shot.
Am I tripping? USA was up 3. Steph went on to hit 4 straight three pointers back to back to back to back and when he hit his fourth they were still up only 6, France was going crazy at the end. And even after all that, they only won by 4. The shot was absolutely necessary.
