8-BBB arrangements are absolutely stunning but for a different take on it, I can't go past The Consouls' version of Gourmet Race. (I'm a sucker for Gamra's bowing!)
Playing Super Mario 3D World made me curious about other traditional band renditions of videogame music, that's what caused me to find the channel. There's really nothing else like these guys on TH-cam.
In the drum intro I checked if I had accidentally set the video playback speed 1.25. I had not, and you kept the tempo going, with an energy that just blew me away for two and a half minutes, right till the smooth section, without sounding like you were struggling. Just shows how technically proficient everyone is. Brilliant arrangement, too!
Songs I would love to hear in a potential Album 4: Life Will Change - Persona 5 You Will Know Our Names - Xenoblade King Dedede’s Theme - Kirby Super Bell Hill - Super Mario 3D World Flying Battery Zone - Sonic and Knuckles Carnival Kerfluffle - Cuphead You guys are so amazing and I love all of your covers! Thank you for blessing this world with your wonderful video game big band jazz!
The fact that this was animated to an actual cook off makes this song slap twice as hard, and everything is on cue. Wonderfully done! My compliments to the conductor and the music players!
I love how the animator chose to change it from an eating contest / race to _a cooking contest!_ It just fits for some reason! 😁 Also love how, after Kirby wins, he does a victory dance and flies away on a warpstar, exactly like he does at the end of most levels. 😆
WOAH! Talk about SUPER!!! This is one of my FAVORITES from Backwards Compatible! Not to mention seeing the addition of some SUPERB VISUALS is (pun 100% intended) being the cherry on top!! Thank you 8BBB (and Kirby) for brightening up the air with some much needed groovy as all heck tunes, ESPECIALLY in these groggy times!!!! We need all the serotonin we can get nowadays. THANKS A TON 8BBB!!!
Love the music, adore the animation, the amount of professionalism and effort you put into your remixes and videos never ceases to amaze me, more people NEED to see you guys you’re phenomenal!
I discovered "1, 2, Oatmeal" a couple of weeks ago, and I halfway expected this to be another remix. This is a great arrangement! I guess you could say "What a triumph is thaaaaaaat!"
This knocked my socks off when I first listened to it on the album...such a unique rendition of a timeless VGM theme! Honestly feels like one of the best arrangements you guys have done! I stinkin' love how it randomly becomes a mariachi band and then a heavy swing band within the same 10 seconds
Hands down my favourite cover you all have done. I'm in love with the standing bass, the sax solo, especially the tempo changes! It's so much fun to listen to. I can't imagine all of the hard work everyone had put in.
I'm not usually a big fan of jazz, but you guys are the main exception. I don't know how you do it, but lots of your videos bring me to tears because of how beautiful they are. There's definitely something different about your arrangements, but I can't put my finger on it, and I wish I could.
The music is incredible as always, but I love how you took the time to add animations along with it to tell a story with the song! That's truly wonderful!
I came late to this channel because The Consouls covered Birdman and I was looking for the OST and found the 8-BBB version - best accidental find ever!
AAAAAHHHHH!!!!!! I have waited soooo long for this!!!!!! I literally had a huge smile on my face the entire time!!!!! This is BY FAR one of the most jazziest music pieces you have ever done and I AM HERE FOR IT!!!!!! Please never stop what you’re doing, cuz it is inspiring and amazing!!!!!!!!!
Amazing, the solo reminds me of Yoko Kanno and the Seatbelts. I know it's not a video game, but I'd love to hear your guy's take on "Real Folk Blues" every video I've watched has been amazing!
Amazing. I like that a nerd developed the skill of composing to make these amazing arrangements with talented musicians. Thank you all cause you guys rock.
You guys are playing some of my favorite songs and I could not be happier. This is such a wonderful take on it and it's just- I love it so much, thank you!
Absolutely amazing! For sure one of my favorite arrangements from the band. I got some Gordon Goodwin vibes from this arrangement, especially the saxophone soli right before the straight swing at the end as well as the straight swing itself (which is definitely not a bad thing)
My my, how I would love to play in a group like this again, makes me miss high school jazz every video! Not that we were ever this good of course, haha, great work all 😊
Wonderful arrangement, masterfully done, and amazing artwork! Personally, I don't care for the solo, though I can see that the soloist is clearly talented--it just doesn't seem to be playing an actual intended melody that complements the song, at least not to my ear. I'd love to hear the arrangement without the solo break, if only for those of us who aren't as jazz-savvy as the rest of your audience. I've always loved this group's music and their passion for it. Keep up the amazing work!
Man, I always knew Kirby sucked, but I never knew he could blow changes like that! Nice one as always :)
Well,he can blow hard enough to produce a gust of wind powerful enough to take a physical form and kill people
He had us in the first half, not gonna lie.
well kirby can swallow
8-BBB arrangements are absolutely stunning but for a different take on it, I can't go past The Consouls' version of Gourmet Race. (I'm a sucker for Gamra's bowing!)
How can he blow for that long
I swear 8BBB is one of the hidden gems of TH-cam. I don’t know how this channel hasn’t absolutely exploded yet. Yet another amazing performance!
I know its criminal there not at half a million subs yet
Thanks for helping us get there!!
Playing Super Mario 3D World made me curious about other traditional band renditions of videogame music, that's what caused me to find the channel. There's really nothing else like these guys on TH-cam.
@@GoldStorm07 For me 8BBB and Insaneintherain are the definitive TH-cam authorities when it comes to VGM jazz arrangements
Agreed, the amount of arranging, playing, organising and mixing effort is off the charts.
1:35 this is the part where kirby ate the sax player and got his power of playing the saxophone
My boy spittin’ straight funny
Jazz Kirby, complete with a mini fedora
Always peak content from you guys, this arrangement is so colorful!
YOO ITS ALEX
Indeed it is
Alex, you are everywhere! ❤️
Yo my boi Alex is here
Hello my king
1:25 Omg
When the little Waddle Doo says there's 1 minute remaining, that's actually 60 seconds away from when Kirby and Dedede present their food
In the drum intro I checked if I had accidentally set the video playback speed 1.25. I had not, and you kept the tempo going, with an energy that just blew me away for two and a half minutes, right till the smooth section, without sounding like you were struggling. Brilliant arrangement, too!
Definitely putting the band to work on this tempo!! Thanks for listening
its pretty special at 1.25x times speed...
Thought the same thing!
@@The8BitBigBand what's the marked tempo
coming back to this it's around 160, found it on a transcription of sam dillons amazing tenor solo
Songs I would love to hear in a potential Album 4:
Life Will Change - Persona 5
You Will Know Our Names - Xenoblade
King Dedede’s Theme - Kirby
Super Bell Hill - Super Mario 3D World
Flying Battery Zone - Sonic and Knuckles
Carnival Kerfluffle - Cuphead
You guys are so amazing and I love all of your covers! Thank you for blessing this world with your wonderful video game big band jazz!
A couple of these tracks are already on my maybe list so you have good taste!
The part where they revert to the original rhythm, man so necessary, respectful, brilliant, smooth, joyful.
2:41 This part sounds like the Fountain of Dreams version from Smash Bros. Melee, great callback if that was the intention.
The bassist keeping pace with the sax solo gets me so hype dude idk what it is. You all are so talented!
When you forgot to eat all day and you wake up for a midnight snack
The fact that this was animated to an actual cook off makes this song slap twice as hard, and everything is on cue. Wonderfully done! My compliments to the conductor and the music players!
2:33 DEDEDE!!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO KINE YOU MONSTER 😱😱😱
Came for the music, stayed for Kirby playing the Saxophone
I love how the animator chose to change it from an eating contest / race to _a cooking contest!_ It just fits for some reason! 😁
Also love how, after Kirby wins, he does a victory dance and flies away on a warpstar, exactly like he does at the end of most levels. 😆

You guys never disappoint, and I mean NEVER
FACTS
I wanted 1 to2 oatmeal sung over this
NAAHHHH... That solo break goes HARD bro
2:59 I love how king Dedede just falls over when Kirby is chosen. Also, the music is *AMAZING*
1:43 the solo reminds me a bit of the mario kart lick
Love the music, adore the animation, the amount of professionalism and effort you put into your remixes and videos never ceases to amaze me, more people NEED to see you guys you’re phenomenal!
ONE, TWO, OOAATMEAL
these guys cooked up a tasty jam that is for sure!
I'm in awe of this bad ass arrangement
I find all the 8-BBB arrangements absolutely awesome! For a contrasting style, you might like this: th-cam.com/video/oYPO3XTEb0M/w-d-xo.html
THE BASS PLAYER IS FRICKIN INSANE OMGGG
Yep, I can totally see why Joey Alexander chose to play with him.
Soooo coooool!! I love this arrangement. And also love your collaboration of your music and animation. Waddle Doo😍
Holy cow, that sax section never ceases to amaze. Absolutely wonderful
I really love the animation at the bottom it's so cute!
Every single video you guys upload is a treat for both the eyes and ears. Awesome tunes and funny animation!
Super beautiful version, great work
I can't even describe the smile this put on my face
Sounds amazing :D
(Animation is really cool as well, especially the mashing of meat to the beat).
Fucking brilliant!
finally, I can feel sophisticated while listening to Kirby music. Excellent cover!!!

Aersome! Sounds a bit like a chase scene in a swinging mob flick.
I can't get enough of you guys.
The arrangements, the sprite animations... it's all top notch!
What a kick ass arrangement. Every time I click on one of these videos I'm always so happy with how you guys sound. Y'all sound immaculate.

I saw that y’all were covering Gourmet Race and I just HAD to click it!
One of my favorite Nintendo songs of all time, and you all killed it! Great stuff. Thanks so much for all you do! ♥️
what a triumph isssaaaaaaaaat
Had this beat stuck in my head, couldn't remember what it was from and this is the suggestion youtube gave. Kinda feel it's better than the original
My band director just gave me this sheet music. I play tenor. You can imagine my pain.
this channel is so underrated it is criminal.
We have been blessed once again from the music maestros! What a fantastic arrangement of a Kirby classic.

Your upright bass player looks a little stressed out in the solo part ^^
But amazing solo. I've expected nothing less ^^
Got that bass player working HARD
@@The8BitBigBand For once, the bass clef gets a chance to go faster than a snail's pace
Yeay go fellow basses
Looks like he's transcending 😮
Yes! This world needs more jazz Kirby music!
Wow the drummer is on 🔥! Such precision! I mean the rest of band is also amazing! Wow goosebumps!!!
the animation in this one is such a good visual pun
The best thing about 8-BBB animations is that they are always in time. Absolutely amazing stuff.
The music is incredible as always, but I love how you took the time to add animations along with it to tell a story with the song! That's truly wonderful!

I love your music guys! Always brings a smile to my face to listen to the music y’all dish out.
I like how the pixel animations kind of sync up with the music
These videos are absolute gold in so many ways!
I just noticed this track has "the lick" in it.
You can hear it at 0:26.
Hahaha I never noticed that

The animations are always as beautiful as the music.
Y’all went off!!! Loved the multiple styles of jazz in one setting.

Stunning performance as always! You guys really did this classic tune justice.
You guys are playing some of my favorite songs and I could not be happier. This is such a wonderful take on it and it's just-
I love it so much, thank you!
I found 8-BBB because of a Birdman cover by The Consouls who also play a lot of VGM favourites. A very good find indeed!
Absolutely amazing! For sure one of my favorite arrangements from the band. I got some Gordon Goodwin vibes from this arrangement, especially the saxophone soli right before the straight swing at the end as well as the straight swing itself (which is definitely not a bad thing)
I just listened to John Coltrane's "Countdown" and the sax solo reminded me of the one here.
Excellent editing. Highlights of the bass + adorable pink guy dancing
This is awesome guys, and whoever did the animation did just as amazing
I still can't believe 8-bit big band can both have such great production value yet barely get the views they deserve for it

A classic Kirby track done in the Roaring 20s styled jazz sounds so sick and epic! Great job on the cover!
2:53 is like the coldest thing I ever heard
It just isn't fair how underrated these guys are man
I didn't know how much I need this. Thank you.
