    I was on the edge about picking up a Sunlu or getting the EIBOS Polyphemus ... Thanks for making this video... I will be ordering an EIBOS Polyphemus now, after seeing so many people saying it's the best, or up there in the highly-recommended category...

    The only thing I found different on my Eibos is when you decide to use it as a dry box when not actively drying. Is it only allows you to set the RH in 10% increments, you made seem like if wanted it to maintain a 13%, 15% RH you could.

    As I am looking at getting a filament dryer, I initially considered this because of all the bells and whistles... But, with the higher temp achieved by the Fixdry 2 I am really considering going that route instead. Having the profiles and rolling is cool, but not really necessary. The higher temps of the Fixdry equal a lower relative humidity, which means a better drying. Also, many of these plastics have to reach a higher temp before they will really start to release moisture effectively anyways. Hoffman Tactical did a great video on the Fixdry that pushed me over the edge.

      Cool. I have reviewed a couple of fixdry dryers, they are not bad, of course everything has pros and cons. What are you going to print that you require over 70C?

    • @Isaacmantx
      @Isaacmantx 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@NordFPV I am most concerned about the drying temperatures of PA6, PA11, ASA, and PC/PCCF filaments. Most of these seem to require high temp to dry properly unless you want to allow for exceptionally long drying durations.

      I REALLY wish there was a dryer that could hit 90C..... I'd be sold regardless of features.

    I like the rotating feature however the original Eibos Easdry box has the heating and fan element in the centre of the spool which will heat it evenly anyway. The POLYPHEMUS is also very tall for some reason?? I think I will just get another Easydry

    • @NordFPV
      @NordFPV  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It’s tall to accept bigger spools.
      What I dislike from the easy dry is the fact it doesn’t have bearings, and it has a lot of friction for the spools. Is use the easy dry to dry, but not to print while drying.

    I have a couple of problems with this dryer that keeps me from buying it and they are the price, how cheaply made it is and the fact that they should have used textured rubber for the rollers to keep them from skipping and I do wish that they used magnets in the base to hold on the lid and I don't like the cheap display, it scratches easily and bubbles appear like on a poorly tinted window. I think i will just get the Sunlu S4

    • @NordFPV
      @NordFPV  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The sunlu S4 definitely has a more polish look. I made another video where I presented the S4. But the sunlu is huge!! You really need to have space for it. Do you have enough space?

      @NordFPV I live in a 1967 city transit bus converted into a RV and I plan on building a Qidi Tech Q1 pro and the drier into a custom cabinet. I spend a lot of time in cold weather

    3:42 Oh yeah, is this one difficult to get off?? Better off hard than easy . that means no fucking air comes in from the outside. but you can easily remove the EIBOS POLYPHEMUS using the handle, yes, but that also means that air comes in from the outside. If you look closely at videos of the EIBOS POLYPHEMUS you will see that gaps can appear in between them. but no one is talking about it. and I'm not talking about holes through which your filament has to pass.

    Why did you not compare it to the sunlu s4 ? As that is the most current solution available. Seems like you picked the competitors so you can make this weird never heard of dryer looks like something

    • @NordFPV
      @NordFPV  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hello. I have not have the chance to test a Sunlu S4, that would be the main reason why I didn't mention it. Even if I had the chance to test the S4, that is a 4 spool beast, not sure it will be comparable to this.
      I have been lucky to have bought all those dryers that you can see in my TH-cam channel, and of course, I use the experience of using them as my base to compare this "weird never heard of" dryer :D .

    • @TheOneAndOnlySatan
      @TheOneAndOnlySatan 9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@NordFPV your taking dryers that dont compare to your unknown dryer and compare it. If you had taken a SunluS4 you found out your solution is janky and over priced. Just like the two spool dryer you dont have to use all 4 spots..

      @@TheOneAndOnlySatan Kid it's evident you're coping hard. Sunlu temp control is all over the place and you have to hack and crack the box to fit a 3kg spool in it and even then it wont roll good because the roller wont have bushings. It's a big nasty box with cheapo fans and a peltier element. I'd rather get a food dehydrator.
