    I bumped into this for a PVA solution. You can discuss about other filament , but for this purpose you just need it.

    Have you tied weighing the filament Before and after drying to see if it actually lost moisture

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      No, i get why as it shows you how fast it can dry but i have put in enough wet filament to know it's all fine.
      Weirdly enough the Aceaddity pla likes to get wet even out of a fresh seal.

    Can you dry the descant in a microwave and reuse?

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  27 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @JWDigitalArchiving That's a good question, no need to do it that way.
      It's designed to dry at the same time as the spool of filament.
      You could also leave out the spool and let it run full blast for a couple of hours and do it that way.

    How do I know my filament is dry? What % does it need to say?

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  11 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It doesn't really work that way, the % is the moisture in the air and doesn't account for the moisture in the filament that you can only remove from heating it.
      On the polymaker box they have some times as a reference but when dry anything under 30% is great to store filament and keep it dry.

    i love these boxes and the dryer but boy r they expensive

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Yes, i added a link from somebody making boxes out of the 2$ containers on amazon.
      Then you only need 1 unit.

  • @russv3503
    @russv3503 หลายเดือนก่อน

    I got 2 of those boxes, 1 with pla pro and the other with pet-cf. after drying it goes to 23%-27% and after few hours it goes to 33%-37%. not sure how yours staying at 14%

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      You might want to give them a bit more time, if it's very wet the preset times could not be enough.
      The filaments below 20% are done with the 3nozzle setting, nozzle 2 is around 20 and pla is closer to 30%.

      Put a temp sensor in there, it wont go above 55. I tried. Let us know

    • @russv3503
      @russv3503 25 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I tried, I usually store my filament in those boxes and it keeps that 33-35 constantly, even after putting the Silica through the microwave. Thanks for your reply ❤️

      @3dprintingfun329 in the video I talked briefly on the temps and the nozzles so i tested them with a thermocouple. I think 55 sounds about right

      Yeah... compared with US pricing it's a big bump up but that's typical EU crap. On sale is the time to buy.

    Stopped the video at 0:25s.
    "Polymaker didn't sponsor the video"...okay.
    "They just send this stuff for free" o so they did sponsor.
    Conclusion in the title therefor rejected.

    • @NoizieWorks
      @NoizieWorks  หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      @GreenPlasticWaterCan sponsoring = money, sending products for review is not.
      This is commonly accepted as a normal transactional agreement in the review space.
      At least I disclose it unlike others, i have a review policy if you want to know how I works but spoiler alert it's almost a copy paste from teaching tech.
