Great video. Just payed $250 six months ago for mine. And about a week ago my other door handle broke cost me this time almost $400. From the dealership and not the handle part the side part just broke now😢 waiting to see if dealership is going to fix or not.
Great video! Something that helped me when putting the main door panel back on, was taking off the metal clips and putting them on first. This made putting the door on a lot easier for me.
Thanks so much for this video. I am not mechanic or body guy in the least and I was able to do this no problem at all. I won’t say it was easy but this video made it as easy as it could be for someone like me. Really appreciate it man!
Thanks for the video. How to adjust the actuator fork? I installed the actuator and the fork sits on the shatf as it was before, however the door knob doesn't do anything, i.e. it doesn't feel like it's connected to anything. It doesn't go back when pulled out. What could I be doing wrong? a little background. My door handle came out after my six year old grabbed it in a hurry (basically clung to it with his weight) and the door was locked. I am not sure if it also broke something from the inside bracket. Unlike your vide my inside bracket also came out when unscrewed everything as directed. I am trying to place a new door handle to the old assembly. Could this be an issue?
Those door clips (4 on the inside top) were a nightmare. Not only my handle was broken outside, but the part where it fits into inside is also broken. Thank you Toyota for using cheap plastic that Dodges faster then an actual Dodge. For fun... and peace of mind... my 2015 Tacoma required 9 different/repeat AC repairs from between 12,775 miles (they refused to honor the warranty) up to now...the 9th repair at 50k miles... Plot twist... 5 repairs have been made in the last 400 miles and if you include the dealer charging me $5,500 tomorrow to replace the entire AC system... that makes me a little bitter towards Toyota. So for those following along, that's over $10,000 in AC repairs for a truck that barely hit 50k miles....
I felt like we were on a journey together, and then at the end when putting the door panel back on you cutaway with it already on. This was the most difficult part and some guidance would have been nice. Otherwise great video.
It's definitely a lot more difficult than this video let's on. The smaller piece on my 2012 Camry didn't sink up due to piece on the door not mentioned or shown here. I had large pieces fall into the door multiple times that I then had to retrieve by means of taking more of more door off. Then I had to reassemble them.
+J Pitts We wouldn't be able to diagnose an issue like that here, you may want to have a local mechanic take a look at it. Thanks for checking us out! 1aau.to/m/Shop-1AAuto-c

Why is the front door substantially easier than the rear?!?

Thanks fixed my door handle today after my 6 year old yanked on it , kids will make you into a professional DIYer 😅
Crazy how much more difficult or more involved it is than the fronts which are so easy.
Thanks! Thank god you did a video for both rear and front as they are so different of a job.
Thanks! I forgot about that screw covers by the little panel by the inside handle. You saved me from breaking it 😂
As someone mentioned, it wasn’t as easy as it was for you but I did get it done. Thanks for all the help!
