I absolutely adore that Hourglass mood exposure too. I think that’s the only one of the ones you mentioned that I have, but I have a pretty small blush collection. Can’t remember if I told you in another comment that I’m having my color analysis done next week, so I’ll find out for sure whether the professionals think I can handle any warm tones at all whatsoever. I know warm lipsticks look horrible on me, but blushes might be a little different. Then I can go through my blush collection and see if there’s anything I need to get rid of and replace with something more cool toned. I love purples too, so it’s great to have a bunch of purple options! Thanks to you and your poor sore face for doing this!!❤😂😊
😅 I survived it but not ready to do that again anytime soon! 🤣 Good luck with the color analysis and hopefully one of these will fit in with what they recommend for you!
@@redgirlreviews I had my color analysis done this morning, and it was so fun and enlightening! She "diagnosed" me as a Pastel/True Summer! So yes, I am definitely one of your peeps!! I got a few pieces of makeup from House of Colour to help me get started in training my eye. They'll be my baseline for selecting colors going forward. These colors in this video and in your lipstick video are definitely for me--at least, the lighter ones! Anyone reading this, I highly recommend having a color analysis. Yes, it might be expensive, but it takes out the guesswork and will save a lot of money and frustration in the long run. PS I do look amazing in dusty purples! Hooray!!!

I just wanted to share the blush I just got. It's the Fenty whatabrat blush. It's a muted (cool) baby pink with silver reflect. My foundation color is L'Oreal True Match blendable cool 2. I have a pink undertone. The blush looks beautiful. It doesn't look overly sparkly, but it's not matte.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting blush in Mood Exposure is the perfect cool nude-ish mauve. Not too dark and gives a sophisticated realistic glow. For a glowy stick Pat McGrath Legendary Glow in Alluring Nude is a cool beige-y nude that would work on the fairest skin tone. I use it over other blushes to calm them down and for that glow. Perfect for mature skin.

You are very welcome! Our skin tone is so challenging with what makeup is out there so I finally gave up and started my own channel to share what I could find that does actually work for us. 😅 I'm always so glad to hear that I've helped!
I know! ugh! The Nars one was still in stores when I posted this and literally discontinued something like a month later....why!? It was one of their best prettiest colors!
Too Cool For School is a Korean makeup brand and is available for less on YesStyle. You may like Korean makeup. It’s not super pigmented and the brands sometimes have a color chart showing warm vs cool colors.
I haven't tried that particular brand so I'll have to look into it but at the end of this video I do talk about the several Korean brands I've tried (and hold up the handfuls of them) and how they are all pretty similar...very light on the pigment, and there is usually a cool pink and purple available. ;-)
YESSS I love cool toned blushes and this video is a treasure, Thank you so much! So glad I found you. I have the Valentino Fairy Night, it was such a compelling color to me i had to buy it, and yes, it's patchy going on so now I brush it onto my hand first then apply to my cheeks, and a tiny bit goes a long way... otherwise.....eeee. What a shame about the RMS blush...I have several Armani Neo Nude blush balms and I adore them, sadly now discontinued....Good to see you like the Flower Knows formula as I"ve been tempted, but not any Korean brands, like rom&nd?
I do talk about and am holding the two rom&nd ones at 39:10 and overall they are just too light and chalky and all the korean style ones I've ordered over the years are pretty much exactly the same...just extremely light and unnatural colors ;-)
Such a great, helpful video. I would love to know how they wear or how long they last on the cheeks, or maybe recommend the longest lasting mauve and the longest lasting pink!
So I wouldn't say that any of these are particularly bad about disappearing but I also think the way it wears really has more to do with your skin type and what you are putting the blush over (ie. a bunch of foundation and powder or bare skin). I've had both horribly oily and extreme dry skin and found that most balmy things don't last long on the oily skin and nothing moves on the dry skin across the board. In all these ones I recommend, the balmy stick ones are going to tend to fade the fastest (although I have not noticed this myself...if it disappears it's because I'm super oily and all my makeup has disintegrated or been powdered to death and I end up wiping it off later) and the liquid ones that dry down last the longest with the powders somewhere in between. Also it depends on how many layers you put on. I show my usual light application first in the video and then a heavy application which will probably last quite a bit longer but I never end up wearing it that way in reality. Sorry that's not specific to certain blushes but I really thought about it and the real answer is...it depends. ;-)
I just found your channel today. You do great presentations and demonstrations of products. Thank you for all your efforts. But I have to ask, what is that lip combination you have on it’s stunning. Thank you again

Have you tried the Illamasqua one in Frisson? It's a weird opaque gel type formula so a bit hard to use but is THE most lovely gray pink/purple shade that you just can't find anywhere. I’m confused. Years ago I had my colors done. I am fairly with definite blue undertone. They said for me to “glow” I should be wearing peach shades or anything with “gold” as an undertone. Ie when I wear olive I glow. Pink makes me look sick. If I were to wear these blushes wouldn’t I look “sick”? Plus the fact I’m 71. Thank you ❤️
Well I'm not sure on coloration when it comes to dividing people up by seasons, definitely not my specialty but if you think your skin and hair coloring look similar to me here on youtube and you think any of these look good on my skin then they should also look nice on you. It's so hard to tell unless you are with a person in natural light to do fine tuning. Sorry I wish I could be more helpful!

Awe thank you! With dry skin, a really siliconey cream or liquid blush (like those About Tone ones) is usually going to be a good choice but when I had very dry skin on Accutane I wore powder blush all the time no problem. The trick is to pick one that is not too dark on your skin, find something really pale and light like the Flower Knows 04 one that just adds a flush of color and go very light handed with it on top of your lightly powdered face. If you are not powdering your face but you are putting down something like a hydrating concealer, it will stick to that in a patchy way. In this case I would stick with cream/liquid blushes if you want to stay away from powder. Powder blush on top of powder shouldn't sit in lines just keep both powders light on the face.
That's why I like doing the full try on. It looks so different actually on very pale skin even than swatches show you. When I was younger, I never wore blush for the same reason but I'm so grateful there are better colors that will work for us now!
@@redgirlreviews You very much helped me with it so thank you! I finally found a blush that is subtle but gives me color, because I was looking for the right product and color name. I walked around like a ghost, pale white with highlighter and mascara and that is it. Everyone told me I looked tired, even with make up on hahaha. So, yes, I totally get it! I either had no blush on and looked like a zombie or with blush like a clown.
@@TracyD2 I do have lots but few of them are 'muddy' enough for me to look natural (more light pastel purple or pink). Flowerknows does have some decent ones though.
Hello Jessica, just found you on YT, you are gorgeous! I have a question , which blush do you think would work for me? I have fair skin with black hair and hazel eyes. My cheeks get red, due to severely sensitive skin to products and the sun!
I don't have that one but looking at the comps online, I can't imagine it actually is. Hanky Panky looks the coolest online and it definitely reads a bit warm on me unfotunately. The French Rose color is also supposed to be cool toned and it is definitely not cool toned on me, more of a peachy warm pink on my skin. So far none of the RMS blushes are a true cool tone on my skin unfortunately because I love the formula.
The Hanky Panky blush is a true test of whether your skin has a cool or warm undertone. I saw a warm toned influencer try it on for a "cold girl" look and it looked on her the way it looks in the pan. It blended into her skin tone perfectly and looked cool purple. I bought it thinking it would look cool, and when I put it on my face it literally looked like orange dirt. It was a huge disappointment. It's definitely an orange based blush with a purple shift, and the warm skin tones "eat" the orange and leave the lovely purple shift, whereas on a cool person (and a cool olive person) all you see is the orange.
Omg that’s perfect, ‘orange dirt’ 😂👍🏻 exACtly. I think you are spot on. I’ve never seen it on a warm toned person but I don’t doubt that’s exactly what happens. Everyone also calls the French Rose (think that’s what it’s called) one a cool toned blush but not on me, it’s still a bit peachy. I always say I can turn anything orange. It’s like a party trick 😅🤣
I'm kinda with you on that. I don't like any blushes/colors that look completely unnatural on skin. I do think the absolute lightest slightly blue toned pinks can be gorgeous but it feels like they go heavy handed with the pink pigment most times and don't mix in any white/beige natural pigments to tone it down. It takes the look from ethereal to hooker in 2.2

Finally, someone is helping me. I always look so bad with blush that I never wear it. I'm so pale, it just never looked good.
Asian blushes would be better for you
@@TracyD2 I do have lots but few of them are 'muddy' enough for me to look natural (more light pastel purple or pink). Flowerknows does have some decent ones though.
Hello Jessica, just found you on YT, you are gorgeous! I have a question , which blush do you think would work for me? I have fair skin with black hair and hazel eyes. My cheeks get red, due to severely sensitive skin to products and the sun!
Thank you!🥰 I’d be happy to recommend some but I’d need to see a picture of you to say for sure. You can email me at jdougherty26@comcast.net
What lip are you wearing in this video?

Is RMS Kir royal cool toned?
Online always distorts the color
Yeah it's tough because everyone's monitors have slightly different settings...argh.
I think bubble gum or Barbie pink needs to go.
It takes the look from ethereal to hooker in 2.2
@@redgirlreviews I can't agree with you more. I got very pale skin as well. My two things I get frustrated shopping for are blush and foundation.
