    TRANSFORMER RATIO : 3 OR 4. (25t/100t)
    If you have a 12Vac transformer, you don't need a regulator!!!
    I made this battery desulfator to repair my car battery in emergency.
    This build was made for one use only, but I keep it for to use it further

    Nice work Alexander I have constructed and worked well on one old car battery. I also add for folks that want to do this (even that may be obvious), take the battery out of the car. The principle of desulfator is to push higher voltage spikes, that will help disolve sulfated plates. Take care

      Hello, thanks for commenting. After several tests and experiment, it helps but I had somtimes to buy a new battery. Power gain was ok, but sometimes not enough to start a motor. So, afterwards, I don't know what to think about this theory.

    That is one awesome charger/desulfator.

      I am not satisfyied of it, if battery is dead since long time, it can't work.

    Hi Alexander is it possible to show us your schematic, I am interested in building a battery desulfator. Thanks for the interesting videos you upload

      Dear Alexander,
      There is no positive power for pulse module on your schematic (Vcc for pin8 @ Ne555). Could you explain or update the scheme?

      you was right I forgot a wire. That's ok, sorry for this, the schematic was updated.

    Nice work! I understand this cannot work in all situations, but I do see new chargers being sold now that claim to have this form of functionality, but I like your idea with the custom boost transformer you made. Question: is the voltage pulsing and if so in what range?

    • @dreamtoneamps
      @dreamtoneamps ปีที่แล้ว

      one more, at 5:18 what is your o-scope displaying?

    • @AIexanderHartdegen
      @AIexanderHartdegen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Something like... range of 3 khz.

    • @AIexanderHartdegen
      @AIexanderHartdegen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@dreamtoneamps it's displaying very high and short pic surge of voltage, need for the process.

      Hi sir, thanks for your interest. What kind of battery amps and voltage you intend to use it for?

    • @patrickdufour5025
      @patrickdufour5025 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      up to 245 AH 12v

      Thanks. You need a very big desulfator... A desulfator can regenerate a battery when it's possible. It's must have acid, and must be not completely dead. The use of desulfator can be necessary during weeks, or more a month to recover 85% of initial capacity.
      The desulfator you see on the video is ok for car and bike battery.
      245 Ah is a truck battery!

    can you add 38mhz?

    • @AIexanderHartdegen
      @AIexanderHartdegen  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      no for this kind of stuff 8khz is judged the maximal frequency.

      What would i need to do for turn it up for the frquency for 38 mhz? im using it for something new.

      To do what you wan you can use the same electronic properties.
      You need a high power transistor, drived by a high frequency generator. In this case the transistor would be a " special radio transistor", wich can be expensive, to work in this frequency without any loss.
      You can use a high voltage from start, and switching it with the HF transistor, by a high frequency driver, and injecting it to the battery, or other. You need a "non return system" for isolting the normal DC voltage and the high frequency voltage.
      And you can use a high frequency transformer, with using a high frequency driving on primary, like the configuration in the video. At this point, you need a high frequency diode, for soustracting the negative wave and keep only the positive.
      38 Mhz is very high frequency, and you need to studies the necessary component to make it realisable.
      But the only issue I see with this frequency in DC mode, is wich the parasite capacitor equivalent in the circuit, coming from some parts (wire, load, component, etc) make your switching signal like a... DC filtered signal.

      Plan, schematic are in the description below, on my blog. They are simple to understand, but maybe you need a scope on your workbench.

    Hi Alexander, It seems the SCHETATIC link is broken since a few days. Could you please check it? Or could you send me the shcematic via email. Thanks, Geza

      the schematic is fine here. Need to know something about this device. It's able to wake up deeply discharged battery, after a on load oversight. If the battery is deeply dead, you can wake up, but not with a reliable way. Dead battery need chemical restore.
      Here and now, on my computer, schematic is still wachable.
