- I was going to do a video on a cheap battery desulfator I purchased from Amazon, but the camera memory card had a different idea. I posted it anyway. I hope you enjoy the part before the memory card failed.

I think you missing the point or don't understand how it should be used!!!! Nothing will fix a badly desulfated battery. But if you got a relatively new battery & you use this unit on a regular basis, you will extend the battery life from 4 years to around 8 to 10 years, depending on usage.
I'd surely like to see the rest of the stream as for the results. I have purchased the same item off of Amazon as
well! I don't have an oscilloscope to sample the pulse rate and and frequency! I would however like to get your
evaluation on this item and see what is achievable going forward and so thank-you in advance for a future update!
I have this same desulfator. I think its not working. I don't get it. Also I did the buy again button on Amazon, and the second one they sent wasn't the same model. I think that's a bit weird. Something isn't right.
Does it matter if the desulfator is modified sine or pure sine? Seeing your graph of the pulse in your video that's modified sine.
And if the battery voltage keeps dropping over time, continously, isn't that an indicator that the desulfator is not working? Thanks.
Good video. I have a Pulsetech PowerPulse passive battery desulfator on my 2001 BMW battery as preventative maintenance as Pulsetech claims that there patented frequency they use can extend battery life up to three times. I also used my PowerPulse on my other BMW battery that I let sit disconnected for a year, and it was at 11.2 volts, I tried charging it with my friends Exide 6 amp automatic charger for 14 hours and battery voltage was at 13.1 volts, yet it would not start my other car. I put the PowerPulse on it along with a 1 amp Schumacher manual battery charger for 72 hours, and left the desulfator on it for a week and it started my car right up. My point is desulfation can take up to 30 days depending on how sulfated your battery is.

Since these... I don't know... appear to not work or not work well, what is the next best thing that is still affordable?
according to a nasa engineer i know, the optimal charge voltage for a 12 v lead acid is 14.6. anything higher or lower does not prolong the life of the battery. plus, they need to be charged at least every 3 days to keep them optimal.
That's as much baloney as saying "40 psi is the optimal tire pressure". Optimums are rarely unqualified constants. Charge voltage is a function of cell construction and temperature. It's a tradeoff between charge time and plate corrosion and water loss. There's a difference between bulk charging, float charging, and equalization regimes. Try float charging a bank of sealed stationary batteries at 2.4-2.5 Vpc and see how long they last.

Yes, you can, take a look at Pulse Tech passive desulfators and Xtreme chargers with built in Pulse Technology desulfation.
One thing these and similar devices excel at is obliterating the 80 meter ham band.
Well it is pulsing and the pcb looks really well made, not an obvious scam.
People have built cruder circuits and the mosfet and inductor step up side seems to be common.
Worth a try on a slightly duff battery for a week and see if it improves it.

Loved this content. I still don't believe desulfating devices do anything.
I find it's a 50/50 shot.
Not a guarantee but if it saves one battery it has more than paid for itself.
Have owned one for several years and it's paid for itself several times.

interesting ,i got tired about changing battery every 2 years on my car,,i own it till 8 years and 5 battery was on it so when my last one literally broke inside on 500 meter and it was impossible to restart my car at the gas station i was extremely mad i tired about buying new battry every 2 years ,so i bought a toaster tester to check if its the battery or my car the real problem ,the toaster is a tester who really show the amper of a battery still available on it ,i go to a scrap yard and bough a battery i test with my new amp tester ,i did it to fast and did not keep the boutton long enough to really see if the battery could keep these amp ,i made a mistake ,, at home i reteste it i saw the battery lost amper very fast so i was piss again ,so i bough a battery tester with the pulse on it for 23$ including delivery,,,so after make a long ride and park the car i test my not great new use battery at -5 degree after the battery was unplug for 3 day resting there i got like 150 ampere ,,i receive the weird cheap charger with pulse and bring the battery inside ,i let the battery rest and became warm and test it ,i got 200amps,,i pulse the dawm thing for like 24 hours and i got a solid 600amps and the battery keep it ,so i put back the battery in the car and wait 3 day unplug at cold after a ride and did the test again ,i got a solid 400amps and the battery keep it ,so i thing these pulse thing work sometime ,the toaster tester cant be cheat ,something is wrong with car battery these day ,they dont last like before
Attach a supercapacitor set in parallel to the battery . It'll restore the battery like new and can last 5 to 10 years
