One time, I decided to not go to Riverwood early in the game, and instead went through the mountains to Riften. On my way there, I encountered one of those Stormcloaks vs Legion fights you often see. The Stormcloaks won, and I went around looting all the dead Imperials. I got overencumbered, and dropped two imperial sets of armours. Cue two Stormcloaks walking over and starting to fight over one of the armour sets, despite the fact that they were enemy armour and there were two identical ones lying right next to each other. After murdering one of his allies over a piece of crappy enemy armour, the winning Stormcloak went on his way without even picking up the armour he had murdered someone over.
Dragons breathing fire from the sky. Vampires brazenly attacking the cities. People killing each other over sweet rolls. The world has gone mad I'd say.
I sniped Brnjolf-the-bastage and he went around looking for me. Then he just decided to attack ordinary innocent folks. When he had killed all of the poor 'non-essentials' (God love them) he eventually stopped. The whole time those absolutely horrid crooked guards did NOTHING. Some even ran away. I walked up to look at a poor dead NPC. This wan&er guard was looking at him, dumbly saying "Oh! What happened??" Then he turned to me and started to grill me!! "What happened here? Who did this?" The options to stay silent or I'm not telling you nothing came up, perhaps more but can't remember. Big fat cnt who had stood idly by all the time with his bag fat head and belly full of mead then says to me: "O ho! Maybe a night in a jail cell will loosen your tongue." Another option to cooperate or resist came up so I basically told his fat arse to go and get fck'd. He started attacking me! ME!!! Brynjolf the butcher standing over happily selling his falmer-piss and not a bother on him, whilst this fat useless gaurd decides to attack ME!! Myself and Jenna happily savoured SLAUGHTERING all fifteen of their worthless useless a$$. Of course I had to reload as it was all most upsetting really

I got to the stage where I just exterminate all the bandits dressed up as 'guards' like the lowly pest infestations they are. Life is then much more peaceful and calm in the towns.

Which is why you make sure there's no weapons laying around anywhere within reach! Although the Winterhold bandits can just keep pulling weapons out of the ground somewhere behind Avrol's (Dunmer trader) dog meat stand. It gets really annoying....cos then you have to finish them off. They keep trying to 'arrest' you, like they've some kind of authority. They really believe it like 🙄

Anyways, yeah they proceeded to fight over it, and mjoll did that head butt kill with the 2 handed weapon. I laughed my ass off. Gonna go to the orphanage to see if they fight too.

The panicked screams of the townsfolk as the fight made its way to the streets. So many people were slaughtered like animals that day. So many guards. So much death, chaos and destruction. The city went up in flames. I can still smell the burning wood, and that horrid stench of burning flesh. I don't know how I managed to survive that carnage. For the first few weeks afterwards, I would stay up all night, staring at the ceiling, kept awake by horrible nightmares. In the nightmares, I couldn't move. I couldn't shout. I couldn't even speak; the room would fill with blood, the disembodied screaming would fill the air and make my ears ring until I managed to claw my way back to wakefulness. I would love to say that I got over it, that I was the same person I was before the incident occurred, but I'd be lying, and my mother didn't raise me to be a liar. Truth is, I don't think anyone will be the same ever again. Those who managed to escape with their lives never returned to Riften. Now it's nothing more but a ghost town. The Bee and Barb was boarded up and locked up tight afterwards, after the bodies had been removed and the blood scrubbed off the floor, walls and tables. I wish I could say that I left Riften too, but I didn't. Truthfully, I don't know why I stay here. Most NPCs have daggers so it's pretty uncommon.

For the first few weeks afterwards, I would stay up all night, staring at the ceiling, kept awake by horrible nightmares. In the nightmares, I couldn't move. I couldn't shout. I couldn't even speak; the room would fill with blood, the disembodied screaming would fill the air and make my ears ring until I managed to claw my way back to wakefulness. I would love to say that I got over it, that I was the same person I was before the incident occurred, but I'd be lying, and my mother didn't raise me to be a liar. Truth is, I don't think anyone will be the same ever again. Those who managed to escape with their lives never returned to Riften. Now it's nothing more but a ghost town. The Bee and Barb was boarded up and locked up tight afterwards, after the bodies had been removed and the blood scrubbed off the floor, walls and tables. I wish I could say that I left Riften too, but I didn't. Truthfully, I don't know why I stay here. Maybe I'm just hoping that the town will recover, although I doubt it will.*
Maybe I should sell my house, pack my things and head for someplace else. Maybe Whiterun or Riverwood? Anything would be better than reliving that day over and over.*
