Yup, as is Arcane. Having things end as intended is not a cancelation. While the fanbase were not made aware of it only intending to have two seasons, it is still not a cancelation. They seem confuseld.
Half of these shows arent getting cancelled.... theyre ending... Arcane was always going to be 2 seasons. There will be other League of Legends shows. They've already said this.
You guys need to know the difference between Cancelled and Ending, it's honestly embarrassing at this point. You may gain a click, but you also gain a dislike.
100% Correct. GOT screwed up it’s story by cutting the last season short, The Boys is essentially doing the opposite to properly end story without screwing it up.
@alisonponce8337 That's an obvious and pointless comment Alison. That's like me saying it's not mandatory to comment either. See what we both just did there? Nothing. We achieved nothing 😂
By the way, the big reason for series having massive gaps between seasons now is because many American studios have turned the writers room into gig work where they bring them in for a set of weeks then cut them loose instead of the constant pay of a full 12/24 episode season as well as set access for rewrites. It was a part of the strikes that hit, the lack of stability. As a result the people are often scattershot all over because the studios don't do long term contracts with writers that keep them to a set loop.
Stop confusing a show getting canceled with a show ending. You just wanted to include The Boys because it's a big show. But it's just ending, not canceled.
.... Except 1) The Boys isn't cancelled, it's ending as planned, and 2) season 5 isn't the end of The Boys universe- ignoring Gen V, there are another 2 spinoff series (The Boys: Mexico) and Vought Rising in the works. So it is hardly the end for The Boys.
I'm sad about CSI:Vegas. I had not idea they rebooted the original story & cast.😥 On another note, I think more shows should just be mini series. Audiences wouldn't have to watch fluff or drawn out stories, and less shows would have to worry about being cancelled. There's just too much entertainment out there for people to find. Shows are cancelled before audiences even know they exist.
I'm sorry, but what the hell? How the hell is a TV show getting canceled because Netflix announced that they were planning to reboot a show and then later announced that they changed their minds and are not going to do that plan but hadn't even filmed a single frame yet?
The Boys, Arcane and The Witcher haven't really been cancelled, they just have future seasons planned to be their last. Also, The Boys still has the Gen V spinoff going, and The Witcher has a spinoff series and another animated movie coming
Tokyo vice was really good.... the book was way darker... and the ending in the book was just so sad... whereas the ending in season two everybody had a happy sendoff... in real life not so much...
I remember being ecstatic about Walker. I thought, this is going to be great. Maybe, the story line would be Chuck Norris's son. Using all manners of martial arts, to do all manners of kicking bad guys asses, while Walker Sr. gives words of wisdom. Unfortunately, that's not what it was.
You literally started this video about shows getting canceled with a show that the creator is choosing to end is exactly why I don't really watch this channel anymore.
Seemingly ended? The rumor since it first aired was that as soon as Marvel finally relaunched the Netflix characters that Mike Coulter would be jumping ship right away to resume playing Luke Cage. Whether this was the driving force behind it or not, couldn't say, but the long hiatus between seasons likely didn't do it any favors, either.
They know the difference between cancelled and ending, but "cancelled" gets more clicks and its gets everyone pointing out the difference in the comments. Engagement bait ftw. (And i just added to it)
The Boys is ending where the creatives intended. They had a story and they feel like S5 will get them there. Same with Arcane S2, it was always planned to be 2 seasons. We all know that both those series would get another season almost no questions asked if they just said "We want to do more."
Completely incorrect to say that Arcane fans were blindsided by the final season announcement. League players have known since before the first season aired that this was the plan, as the game released videos and interviews with the showrunners stating as much. Can't wait to see which region they give the Arcane treatment next!
2:44 In the defense of Arcane, the show runners did announce they are going to continue the League of legends lore in spin offs series on Netflix and that they are already in the works. So even though Arcane is ending (Not cancelled!); more stories are coming from that world.
Yeah The Boys is ending, not cancelled, a cancelation is what happened to Angel, Firefly or Dark Angel, a show having definitive end like with The Boys is not a cancelation.
Something coming to an actual ending instead of grinding to a franchise-destroying halt seems to elude people. But hey "cancelled shows"... outrage sells and clicks gotta bait.
The only one of these I care about is Arcane. I love that show. It's visually beautiful, the music is great and I want ALL the clothes. I'm just glad it's being wrapped up and not just cancelled though
Cancelled is not the same thing as ending! If a creator has a set number of seasons in mind and it's allowed to run to completion, it hasn't been cancelled.
I'll miss The Boys, it's been a lot of fun, but it's been drifting further and further from the source material so yeh, right to give it a decent ending rather than dragging it out.
Im getting sick of your click baiting. If you have to con your audience into watching your video maybe make different content. Shame on you Ewan and the gang
Eric Kripke loves his 5 year story arcs. Supernatural had one, then they kinda literally did a deus ex machina and continued on for ten more seasons due to its popularity but Kripke moved on.. So the Boys is naturally ending and always had a five season arc. The comics also had a full arc to an end. But it's far from the end of The Boys universe.. there's Gen V and the prequel series in full development set in the 50's NYC with Jensen Ackles returning as Soldier Boy and Arya Cash as Liberty (she was the Nazi Stormfront in season 2). I also think there's even another series in some form of early development but those two for sure.. more seasons of GenV and 'Vought Rising', the long gestating prequel that's got a show runner attached even and is described by Kripke as a sort of 'LA Confidential' with superheroes.. So I'expect either season 2 of GenV next then last season of the Boys (or flipped) and then 'Vought Rising'.. and the announced The Boys: Mexico with Diego Luna as co-exec producer (no other info so far ) 😁🥳 As for Tokyo Vice, it is sad it got canned as it's a good show, very well acted, written, and paced.. but it was always a bit niche as it wasn't a more genre styled offering, more a straightforward drama about journalism and crime in Japan. So it didn't have the flash, but that's what made it really interesting.. knew it wouldn't last forever, hoped for a few more seasons but at least it's ending at a really good spot where it's not infuriating as has happened so many times.. And the Witcher.. I mean, I'll give Liam a go I guess for the two remaining seasons.. I enjoy the world and lore overall, I like the latest game but I'm not a hardcore fan of it or the books as some others.. Cavill portrayal of Geralt was the big draw for me to the show. I really liked his brooding grunting take that had a lot of subtle expression of humor.. I dunno, he just really made it especially watchable for me overall, while I generally like him as an actor, it's not like he's top tier or anything.. I thought he made a great superman even tho the character wasn't truly written properly.. and honestly, I don't see Liam bringing the same charm but I'll give him a chance at least as I fully learned my lesson with Ledger and the Dark Knight. The thing with the Witcher is that when the writers have contempt for a beloved source material, that's kinda bad. I understand adaptation and that's totally fine, I'm never a purist and can enjoy a remix . But if they miss the point or have open contempt for the important concepts, it destroys the tone and feel.. becomes in name only. Like Snyder did with the Watchmen, so very close yet SO very far... I think the prequel might of done badly, not sure really, but I thought it was pretty bad. If it did and with Cavill abdicating I think they had a rethink of just finishing up the main story rather than this big expanded bloated universe of shows they had envisioned previously and the prequel was part of I'm sure.. the winds were let out of the sails and they are resorting to rowing it on home, lol. Sigh. I dunno. Shame really. Kudos to Cavill if it's true he left due to the character and story stuff with the writers.. he does seem to really cherish the lore and characters, so it's not so far fetched.. but who knows really.. it could even be a mix of stuff, little of column A, little of B.. fans make a ton of assumptions and bias fueled by media and interviews doing PR stuff.. maybe we will find out years from now, when people have moved on from their industry positions and all that and it no longer matters and NDA's end and all that, it's just too soon to really know..
Seems many TH-cam channels misunderstand cancellation verses ending verses not renewed. I’d guess cancelling would be ceasing production part way through a production run eg Firefly. Regarding Arkane, I thought it was always going to be two seasons? I’m sure that has been stated previously
The Boys didn’t get cancelled they decided to end it there is a difference. Also you said they are allowing them to do the 5th season not true either The Boys is one of primes most successful shows they want that 5th season.
Walker is/was great. You've just said you havn't seen it so how can you say it feels like a show that's run it's course and was lucky to get what it did?

...Nothing to do with Netflix, dude. They did state this in the video too. The writers of the show always planned it to just be two seasons long; the whole thing was plotted out before the first season released. They also plan to move on to another part of the League Universe and tell other stories, though they haven't announced which region will be next. Personally, I'm thinking they'll go with Noxus, seeing as casual fans already know of it through the Medarda's. But Demacia and Ionia have AMAZING lore too. If they keep up the writing quality, frankly I don't much care. Do you play any form of the game? You would have known this already, otherwise. This video was completely wrong when they say it was only first announced in the season 2 trailer.
1. The Boys has always been political and has always mocked right wingers from the beginning you were apparently just too stupid to notice, just look at the character of Stormfront. Exactly!
It’s ending because Amazon told them that this is the last season. Most writers understand that they shouldn’t end this season on a cliffhanger. Most.
That's what he said
This dude is confusing canceling and ending!
It is explained.
@@StubbyandShifu Still wrong
The boys isint cancelled it's just finished
Finished = Cancelled. Get over it.
It's canceled. While they are getting a season to wrap up, if they were offered a Season 6, they would have taken it. Ending now was a compromise.
@@susanalderson8267 🤡
@@susanalderson8267Not really. Cancellations and having a planned ending are two completely different things.

“In a rare moment where the studio listens to the fans, The Witcher has been cancelled”

That's fine, what does that have to do with anything?
Cancelled or finishing. Not every series needs to be active for decades.

Smallville 4an for 10 seasons and Supernatural ran 15 seasons I think
Netflix canceled The Army of the Dead Sequels too
