  • 🔥The video is a performance of the classic disco song "Stayin' Alive" by the Bee Gees. It features the iconic dance moves and upbeat rhythm that made the song and its associated film "Saturday Night Fever" so popular. The lyrics convey a message of resilience and determination in the face of life's challenges, with the repeated chorus of "Stayin' Alive" emphasizing the importance of perseverance.
❗Note* I am a comedy reaction channel by trade and only understand music in it's most basic sense, If your looking for someone who will have a deep understanding of the lyrics, terminology and overall sense of the track you will be disappointed. I'll do my best to learn from all of you in the comments but I didn't grow up listening to any music so this is all new territory for me. I love to hear about the history of your favorite artists as well as any songs or video's you think I should watch to increase my understanding.
⚠Final Note* Expect a lot of pausing, I primarily focus on the visuals in a track, the music itself is not a top priority if that bugs you this is not the channel for you.

The subject matter of 'Stayin' Alive' is about survival in the streets of New York inspired by the Nic Cohn paperback Tribal Rites of the Saturday Night, who was the plot for the classic Saturday Night Fever Movie. Since 1977 it is the fifth biggest single of all time from them with 34 million sold EAN units worldwide.
It is claimed from in a survey of all radiostations around the globe as most airplayed song of all time in 2017- every 20 seconds - this plays everywhere around the world and for sure it is the most iconic ‼song not only for the Disco aera but also for the entire 70´s decade. It’s a part of our shared cultural heritage now - one of those pop miracles that just never gets old, never wears off, never loses its charge. It remains alive. And indeed one of the most covered pop songs in history.

Guinness World Records lists Barry Gibb as the second highest-grossing songwriter in history behind McCartney. Gibb's career spans more than 60 years. He and his brothers were inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1994. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 as a member of the Bee Gees.

Sometimes Barry and Robin will sing together that gives one sound then they all sing together for another sound. Maurice, the one on the left didn't lead as much as Robin and Barry, so you may not always see him singing. He said that he was the filler between the other two, the man in the middle.

Robin wrote some of the lyrics in the bathroom of the airplane while he was doing his things (he wrote the lirycs on higienic paper)..... Barry is my favourite, He is singging in flasetto, At that time Bee Gees was the biggest group in the world, during four years (from 75 to 79) they were earning the 4 per cent that all the music industry got all around the world....no one (even Michael Jackson, Queen, Abba) and with the only exceptión of Beatles were so big like them during so many times. A very different song, incredibly beautiful and very little famous i recomended to you is "livingeyes" , where Barry sings in two tracks at the same time...in one in falsetoo and the other in normal voice mixin both voices

Barry's falsetto was front and center during "the fever period" (late 70s). Honestly, this is not my favortie era of Bee Gees partially for that reason. Don't get me wrong, plenty of awesome songs came out of that era (You Should Be Dancing is my fav from that era, with this one a close second). But, the Bee Gees have such a diverse catalog with so many sounds and that is what I love most about them. You should try tunes from various eras and leads.
60s Robin Lead: "Massachusettes", Barry Lead: "The Change is Made" (might not be able to find a good video- but worth it)
Early 70s dual lead: "Run to Me".
Mid 70s: Robin Lead: "Mr. Natural, Barry Lead: "Nights on Broadway" (I recommend the Spirits tour version).
    Post-fever 80s-2000 various leads:
Mo Lead: "Man in the Middle",
    Barry lead: "I Surrender",
    Robin Lead: "Fallen Angel",
Dual Leads:"Kiss of Life", "My Lover's Prayer, "For Whom The Bell Tolls" (I recommend the 1993 children in need version).
As a bonus try somthing from 2016 In the Now (Barry's solo album) "Home Truth Song" or "Grand Illusion".
That is a very very brief sampling there is so much more. Love Bee Gees - hope to see more. Thanks for the reaciton.

Your channel just popped up on my timeline. I'm more interested in music reaction. The Brothers' Gibb began singing together as boys in the 1950s. Barry discovered his falsetto just in time to resuscitate their career. And, boy, did it!! They write their own songs and for many, many other singers. Autotune wasn't invented until the 90s. Now, the records companies are auto tuning even the greats like Frank Sinatra. Horrible.
