Am I the only one who can't even download a language pack? I use Samsung too. It says I don't have enough space. But I have 4.2GB and I need 55mb. Clearing download manager cache, giving translate all permissions, clearing play store cache, etc nothing works. Can't download offline maps either. Do you know a fix perhaps? I can't find it at all.
Is translate set to save to external media? If so try changing it to internal or try the other way around. You could also try inserting an SD card if you dont already have one

The problem i'm having is when i'm speaking and it's Writing It's been cursing And there's a lot of gibberish coming out of the phone. When I speak into it to write text? Like I'm doing now, how do you fix this?
My offline language pack didn't work because I didn't select the dialect. Open Google Translate > hit the 3 horizontal lines for options > settings > speech input > (English), (French) > select dialect.
also in google try going to setting like you said offline speech recognition scroll over to auto-update and select auto update language at anytime (data charges may apply) instead of wifi ( if you have unlimited data)
Cool trick, works on my zenfone 2 with android 5 :) ...but not on a new redmi 7 with Pie !!!! i get error e(1001) (problems during speech synthesis, retry)... any clue ? Some say conversation mode isn't supposed to work offline, idk... fingers crossed for an update, for now i can only use camera ocr, & text-to speech via gboard mic voice capture, tedious!
@@flavismekongchoh4254 you can't get this version in the video anymore unless you get it from a 3rd party market. I belive Google fixed the issue with offline translations in the new version.
I believe that works fine. It was just the voice translation that wasn't working offline. In either case, if you follow the steps it should resolve all issues (unless they fixed the issue in one of the newer app updates).
Did you try clearing the apps cache and data, uninstalling the app. Re-installing the app, setting the apps permissions to full, and setting the apps location to be SD card (if you have an SD card installed)?
Thanks but this didn't help me unfortunately, the voice translation only works online for me. Funny thing is I downloaded multiple offline languages a while back and offline Spanish was working just two months ago. Now I can't see any of the languages I downloaded. I have a Huawei Mediapad M3 4G tablet.
same issue on a Samsung Galaxy A5, my girlfriend has no issue with her Xiaomi phone. Did you find a fix ? edit : just found a fix, in google translate, go to the settings > data usage > and tick the "use the high quality vocal ..." option on top ! but no offline translation i guess :(
It seems this fix only works for Android phones and not for iPhone. iPhone's Google Settings menu is different, it doesn't have Voice or Offline speech recognition menus.
DeathfireD since my Oreo update stopped working offline gives error e1001. Says try again later but only works online now. If anyone got it working on Oreo let me know

On my galaxy Google translator works fine but click pronounce , no sound , frustrating glitch

It's on the Google app store called Google Translate. It's made by Google.

Hi. I have a fairly new Sony Xperia, did all the above and voice translation still doesn't work.

UPDATE Just uninstalled and reinstalled the App. I'm able to see the list of downloaded offline languages now. It works fine.
