    Thank you. Glad this popped up on my recommended vids. You clearly demonstrated and explained the process in detail. No excessive off topic chatter. Really irritating when a video shows a person’s hands with a closed notebook for 5 minutes or more without doing anything and just talking about things unrelated to the topic. Even more irritating is when they start the project then veers off and talk about junk and DO NOT explain what they are doing. Anyways, thank you for the video.

    Lolly! This is an amazing idea! Thank you! I’m having so much fun watching you create your fairy journal. Now I can make one for myself! So many possibilities…I can’t wait to make some charms to dangle as well. 🥳 🧚‍♀️ 💛

    I've just found this series by accident and have watched the previous ones. I am so happy you included this one, because I was trying to think of a way to make my own cover, since some of the ones I saw were kind of pricey for me. I have a bunch of the fun foam in different colors. I should have known you would come up with a creative solution to it. LOL Thanks so much for sharing your incredible creative talent. I love the dangle charm on the side of the first one you did and the paper clips. So much fun. Gotta go watch the rest of the series. 😍🐞🧡

    This is so awesome!!! I am new to the TN world and not sure what size is right for me so this is a great, inexpensive way to try it out before investing in something from a shop!

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      so true! I'd start with the inserts. Look at a list of all the insert sizes, like here: chicsparrow.com/pages/sizes-101 So you can make a folded piece of paper that will be the size you want when folded. Then see if it's easy to write on that size, or for what purpose you need. Then you'll get an idea what size you like -- just keep in mind that the notebook covers are larger than the inserts. :)

    LPZ: I had NO idea that "Fun Foam" could be decoupaged !! THAT idea will open-up so many more crafting possibilities for me. As usual, I ALWAYS learn something from your videos. There are other small hand held tools for getting the holes and the eyelets done, like these amzn.to/2IUF49b and these amzn.to/2IV6U5t The second one is rated better.

    Paper craft newbie here. How do you keep the Mod Podge from buckling and warping the paper? I have a wretched time with the stuff.

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      the thicker (sturdier) the paper is, the less buckling. It's worse with thin papers. I roll the paper gently like a "U" shape and touch the center down on the Podge, then roll the sides onto it

    Great idea! How durable is it with the fun foam? Does it stay stuck on there through many uses?

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The foam is durable. I would not recomment doing the Mod Podge on the inside after all. It tends to make a crackly noise. :) And I've noticed that different fun foam acts differenlty. So you'll need to play with what you have. I always take off the label when I get my foam, so I never remember what brand it is.

    Excellent idea! ??? Does the ModPodge feel tacky after it is dry? Kuwait gets super hot, but at “Home” in Louisiana it is also very humid. I am just wondering how the ModPodge will react in such hot/humid climates.

      Thank you! I have foam from all over -- who knows where I bought it! I notice that one of the foam sheets is a little "crackly" when I shape it into a notebook, but the other is not at all crackly. Smooth as a baby's bottom!

    great idea using foam, do you think you could still sew around the edges?

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think I'll test a scrap on my sewing machine and get back with you

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Okay, I played with it. You can definitely sew around it. It looks marvelous on the front, but on the back (the foam side), the teeth that pull material through across the plate have roughed up the foam -- it left faint scuff marks on the foam. I can turn it over and sew foam side up, but on my sewing machine, the bobbin thread doesn't leave pretty stitching on the front of the cover. I need to be better at adjusting the tension :)

    Hi, I just found your channel and love this tutorial, your project came out beautiful. I've made a couple of these in a different size, but I'm going to try this size. I like the Modpodge idea and the tip to use needle and thread to get the elastic through. Thanks for sharing.

    • @LollyPalooza
      @LollyPalooza  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So you want paper on both sides, with foam in the middle? I would try it on a strip of paper first. Like maybe a 6 inch strip of foam, cover both sides with card stock, mod podge, etc. That way you can see how the papers will bend with the foam when dry. I am guessing it will be okay.
