    S - scripture, write out the verse
    O- observations about pasage, repeated words, commands, author and intended audience, what comes before and after the verse you're working with
    A - application, stems from observations; use them to come up with a personal application. Use SMART method - Specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and time bound.
    P - Prayer, write it out or pray aloud; some use K for kneel, which is a position for prayer
    Thank you for sharing a simple method to study the Bible!! 💙💙💙

    I love this method! My favorite go-to study method is the "Outer SPACE" method.
    Outer - What's the context of the passage?
    S - Does this passage reveal any sin/s we should avoid?
    P - Does this passage reveal any promises we can claim?
    A - Does this passage reveal an attitude/s we should reflect?
    C- Does this passage give any commands to follow?
    E - End with prayer.

      webicy Amani you typed exactly what I was going to suggest. The Holy Spirit must open our spiritual eyes to see and reveal. Open or spiritual ears to hear. Otherwise, we're just reading the Bible with no revelation. It's about quality and not quantity. She has a very good method though. Kudos!!! Praise God.

      Truly Yours, that's a great question! You can start with the Gospel of John and take one paragraph each day, then work your way through the books of the Bible. You can also do topical studies on subjects that interest you by searching "Bible verses about ______". I have a listing on my site here: onethingalone.com/?s=bible+verses+about. I'm also adding a new Bible reading plan each month. Would love for you to join us!

      James Cowell ; my friend I always believed in the Lord & for many many months my bible was collecting dust & in reality I thought how can a Christian that is not reading the bible daily be really a Christian..my parents use to always read their bibles daily till they became ill & both passed away & I thought to myself I was in the wrong with no excuse to not start my day off as my parents did to read the word of God daily.. so about 2 years now I been regulary reading it every day since then, I actually finished reading the whole bible just 5 months ago & now I jump to different areas of the bible I must say what a great joy reading the word of God every day & I can't imagine or go without reading God's word on a daily basis, blessings to you & all..

      When going thru trauma/traumatic experience we have to watch/observe

      our Connection we are officially-lost. Again.

      @e rivera what????

    • @annphillips3014
      @annphillips3014 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      e rivera ,
      If God used a donkey to talk a prophet(Numbers 22:28,30),
      He used a rooster
      (John 13;38)
      He used a woman to tell men about him (John 4:28, 39)
      They believed on Jesus because of what the woman said, that is why they came to hear him! After they came they told her they believed because of his own word, v 41
      And the Bible says, there is neither male or female in Christ Jesus Galatians 3:28

    • @annphillips3014
      @annphillips3014 5 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @e rivera, to finish the reply from earlier, if God can use a donkey to talk, a rooster to prove his point, and a woman to witness for him, He can use a woman to lead some one to Christ today, better to lead them to Christ then lead to down the path to hell .
      Proverbs 7:5-27 speaks about her, v. 27 Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death. That is where Satan leads, because there is where he is going and he is trying to take everyone with him that he can. Thank God he sent his Son, Jesus, so that we don’t have to go. All we have to is, accept Jesus as our Savior and live for him, according to Romans 10:9-10.

    This sounds like a fabulous way to slow it down and ponder. The more limited alone time I get, the more I find myself tempted to treat scriptures like some kind of marathon training...like I gotta get my pages in to stay fit. This style is so much more fulfilling. I’m totally going to mix this in to my scripture study this year.

      Ken Hill .Hi Ken, I am dealing with the Exact same thing. There's been a negative cycle in my family for years as well, difference in views of all types...there's nothing wrong about having differences because we're all are not alike and then in some ways we are but they cause more arguments than less, the grudges and all almost on a daily basis so I can absolutely relate. The best thing to do is to go to God for ourselves first because we know in our heart we need things to change especially if you see it but we have to make sure we're on track with God and in our heart's and if we ourselves is causing any stress or hatred, etc. We have to correct it first...we have to be the change we want to see First, then we can help out family...No it is not easy, so are gona change and some will stay in their way but with God all things are possible. Stay prayerful and Don't throw in the towel God will fight the fight it's not our battle so we may think.

      Betty Jennings Yes, you see, ive been on a serious spiritual journey seeking Jesus each day since late December 2014. I am a living testimony. I've been praying strongly and reading my bible daily and asking Jesus to please destroy this negative cycle that's been in my family for years and generations that's filled with endless arguments of confusion, endless differences of opinion, separation of family, loneliness, rejection, poverty, poor health, grudges, hate, negative atmosphere, negative forces in my family and mean neighbors and whoever me or my family like or want to be friends with, negative souls always come into our lives and bring more pain and misery. So please pray and ask Jesus Christ to please destroy this negative cycle that's been in my family. Ask Jesus Christ to send his angels & bring positive peace in my family. Thank you.

    I understand and absorb far more when I write things out. I think that for me the observation part of this will be made easier through writing it out and then studying the words involved in the scripture. I'm going to recommend this idea to others that I know.
    God bless you!

    Hello 😃I wanted to thank you for sharing this. Although I never have commented on you tube before, I had to let you know that I am so greatful for this study idea. It is so creative, organized and it makes sense. It covers all the bases I can't say enough. I will study more this morning just to try it! Just the example touched my heart with the verse and the words because that is what God always tells me. Be still and know I am God. So not only have you shared the best way of studying you have reminded me daily what I need to do. Cease striving. Pray and say God I trust you. That's beautiful. It is a fool proof way to stay close to God and build a stronger relationship with him while fighting temptations and bad thoughts. Love it! Thank you so much again. God Bless you.

    I recently bought two daily devotional books, one for my mornings by Billy Graham and one for evenings by Charles F. Stanley.
    Since I usually don't take lunch at work, I was looking on TH-cam for some Bible study videos to watch. This is when I came across your video, and it has completely changed the way I and understand the verse when i read it.
    This method leads you to truly digging into what the verse really means.
    Not only does it expand on the meaning, but it also leads you to truly think about what the writer was trying to convey.
    Thank you so much, your video has made such a difference by expanding on the devotional's key verse.

    I really needed this! Thank you for posting this and I thank God you did because I really needed to see this. Whenever I read the Bible I would only just read it and write down like a summary of what happened. But, now with this SOAP method I see that I need to actually STUDY God's Word and apply it to my daily life. So, this is a great method and I would tell others about it.

    I actually prayed last night for faith and that evening looked at all my bibles and devotionals and just did not know where to start. Then I make a step of faith and looked in youtube. This is good and I can't wait to try it. It definitely slows you down to soak it up.

    For the past year, my faith has been tested to the point that I have more doubts than I'd ever had before. I feel like I'm getting kicked while I'm already down and unable to stand. I feel like my life/my world is being pulled away from under me, and all I can do is watch. With my fake smile and I'm just peachy attitude, I seem to have mastered the art of deceiving the people I love.... Tonight, I couldn't sleep, I've been watching makeup tutorial videos just to focus on something else, and trying to fill the gap in my life/ in my heart. I don't believe I came across this video by accident, nor do I believe it was so I can study the Bible. I believe that at this very moment, I needed to hear this Bible verse. Thank you. God, I trust you.
