I appreciate your videos and ministry. I'm 48 a wife and mom of a 13 year old and I'm desperately trying to fall in love with the bible. Your energy and enthusiasm for God's word inspires me.
I have watched several videos on verse mapping recently. I definitely enjoyed and got the most out of this one.Thank you! This was well explained, and helpful, very easy to see and understand. I also greatly appreciated that you spoke in your normal every day voice and weren't _trying_ to sound upbeat and over the top excited. In contrast, you come across as very genuine. You have a nice calming voice that is easy on the ears. GREAT VIDEO!
Thank you for all your hard work on you note taking process! I have watch several different videos and your seems to fit what I’m looking for. Thank you and God bless.
I appreciate you for telling everyone to read the word before studying. I had such a need to consume the word, reading and listening to audio was good for my soul. Now I am at a season of my life that I just want to spend my time in the word, go deeper. I want understanding aswell as faith. Thanks for the video. ❤
This is excellent, thank you so much for making it simple to understand. I've watched some other videos on verse mapping but they don't explain it so clearly. This is the first of your videos I've watched but will watch some more because I like your teaching style. God bless you for sharing.
I am thanking God for helping me find your video today. I am finally pushing self discipline and I'm on the road to study scripture and to also heal from so many things. Thank you for what you do, you are a good teacher. Your prayer at the end about wasting time is exactly what I've been wanting to tell God. God bless you, dear one❤
Thanks for sharing your way of doing g verss.mapping. Very good explanation s. I am starting to do it. With the help.of the temp.plates I should be able to get the hang of it. Blessings!!!!
You don’t know how thankful I am to God for you. I’ve been struggling about how to read the Bible then devotion then studying. I asked god for wisdom and here you are. I’ve been really trying read the Bible but always feel bad about not doing the other. I’m going to focus on reading as a whole and fitting in some study of the wisdom books.
I’m on my first (technically second) read through of the Bible so I’m not looking at things like verse mapping currently, I’m focusing on simply understanding the story but I found this really helpful thank you
I have looked at several videos on verse mapping and they were all good but yours has helped me understand each category better and the organization of thought. Thanks you for taking the time to make this video. Question?? How do you store the verse maps that you created?
please find also the NOAH WEBSTER DICTIONARY 1828 where he uses scripture for his examples and also shakespeare i think. he says more about application from a christian point of view- like he would go into "honor" for example that othr dictionaries do not. When i taught at a Christian school they insisted this would be the best from early American Christian time of the best education from Christian point of view. Hope you get it and see what you think
I was watching your video and thank you stating it’s best to read the Bible first . May I ask what is the workbook that you have as you are doing the verse mapping?
Hi. I really like this video and have watched it a few times trying to get a really good understanding of how this particular method of verse mapping works. Just a couple of questions for you if you've got a moment: 1. Can this method be done just using a regular old notepad and pen, or does it have to be exactly like it is in the video? In other words, can I just list out each step? For example: Translation #1 Translation #2 Translation #3 Translation #4 Word Studies Background Information Context, etc.? Thanks so much for your time and I hope to hear back from you soon. Maranatha!
@@TheWordNerd Oh thank you so much for answering! I really appreciate it. Just three more questions for you if you don't mind. Thank you. I'm glad that you include interpretation in your verse mapping video, because I've seen some that don't. And it seems to me that: *if we don't correctly interpret the verse we are studying, then we can't correctly apply it to our lives,* which leads me to my first question: 1. Is that true? 2. If so, how do I know that I've correctly interpreted the verse I am studying? 3. How close do I have to be with _my_ interpretation of a verse to somebody else's? Example: a commentary, or somebody's notes in a life application study Bible? I've been a Christian nearly 20 years, but I've never been able to really understand how to study the Bible, but I've always wanted to learn. It's just that I'm afraid to try because maybe my findings, and especially, my interpretation of a verse I am mapping out, will be wrong. Can you help? Thanks.
Don't let fear stop you from studying and interpret scripture. That's from the devil. God gives understanding. There are many positions on scriptures and some we will disagree with others but if we seek truth God will guide us to the truth. There are disagreements on scriptures for 100s of years. Follow the context and interpret accordingly. Checking resources is good but not the end all.
@@TheWordNerd Andrea, Thank you so, _so_ much for your kind words and encouragement! It really means the world to me. I especially liked what you said about disagreements. I never thought of that before, but you're right. We're not always going to agree with someone else's interpretation of a verse of scripture, but that if I follow the context of what I am reading and interpret accordingly as you said, then possibly my interpretation of a verse I map out, would be just as valid as anyone else's interpretation of that same scripture verse. I am really excited about verse mapping now, more so because of the godly wisdom in what you said in your post. Thanks again so much. I appreciate what you said more than you know. I look forward to meeting you on the New Earth someday. 😊 Maranatha!
Do you still use the james method? I bought 2 of their journals after your video. The height is nice and paper thickness though not wide enough for printer paper. I like the rectangular shapes here vs the circles they use though
All are on my Amazon Store Front: www.amazon.com/shop/thewordnerd But the small one is kjv large print compact by Christian art publishers The study bibles are the nlt illustrated study bible and the esv study bible
Very good verse mapping. I would like to know if you verse map a different verse do you write the background and context again or write something different. Thank you
I redo the background information if it's been awhile since I verse mapped in that book but I don't if I've recently did the background in that book. I would still rewrite the context just so that when I reread it I would have it

What is the difference between verse mapping and soap method?
They both have similar steps but verse method is more structured to me.
I like the size print of the free Bible you are using. Can you tell me what it is?
Its a compact kjv from Christian art publishers its linked in my Amazon Store Front: www.amazon.com/shop/thewordnerd
Do you still use the james method? I bought 2 of their journals after your video. The height is nice and paper thickness though not wide enough for printer paper. I like the rectangular shapes here vs the circles they use though
I don't use it that often personally, but I think it's a great option for people. 😊
Check out Mark Wards video on the KJV use of the word Study. It's interesting.
Definitely will 😊 thanks
Where do we get the pdf free template and study guide

Where is your Bible from in this video?

Why do you write the Greek, though? Sorry for my ignorance
Because the same Greek word can be translated into more than one English word so it a way to look deeper into words
