I feel this isn't so much a problem with distraction as it is with that machinery. Look at it, he just casually reaches next to the giant sawblade. Even paying attention, that doesn't look safe at all.
The point of the video is to focus on your job and not outside distractions. I don't care how many safety barriers you put up, he is still dealing with a rotating saw blade. There will always be risk associated with the work, so focus. You completely missed the point...
Done very well. Monotonous repetitive work sure can lead to idle thoughts, hence distractions from the operation at hand. ps. that machine is not up to Health & Safety standards ...
Wouldn't it be better to make a video about how those saws should be protected to make the work much safer? Or atleast how to organize the job so that the worker could focus better (make shifts, enough breakes etc.). If aimed at the workers, maybe tell that they should demand better working conditions. This video seems very pointless (vey nicely done, but a waste of money!)
...tell you what...Shingle manufacturing sure pays well. I mean, look at that kitchen! Raj is doing fine!

Maybe university was worth it after all, no one should have to work a job they don't feel safe at
