Absolutely love the freewing SU. Haven't flown one yet. Landing and flare as smooth as motion rc guys say? Looks like you can come in at almost a glide with real light throttle. I love this baby. Thnx for the vid.
It really performs amazing. I crashed a SU35 once, cold solder joint, bought another one off Hobbyking! The one from Hobbyking is pretty much identical to the Freewing one. As far as I know, it's the same airframe.
These planes are beautiful. But I'll wait for the Version 2 with EPO foam and larger than scale tires for grass field operations! How about it MotionRC/FLRC? I believe most of us out here fly off grass runways and would love to see someone come out with a version that flies off grass and runs on 4S LiPos. If 4S is not doable, set up the batt bay so we can use 2x 3S LiPos stacked or fore/aft on a serial connector. Slightly over-scaled sized tires would help, as well as trailing link suspension on all retracts, with metal trunnions of course. EPS foam is fine for the UMX planes but when you put out a plane this size, we need something that doesn't dent when you pick it up or look at it cross-eyed.
kinda surprised that noone makes a SU33, the carrier version of the SU27 with the forward carnards. Would be interesting to see how those canards enhance or screw up handling.
I've been asking you for a while motion Rc. What jet is best for me I want a military colored with landing gear that runs on 3s 2000/2200mah lipo 64mm EDF. I just want the most reliable sturdy landing gear jet available and love the fms f16. And the f35 and also the new f22s from I believe banana but hear there jets are junk. Please lead me the right direction I'm really liking the fms roc F16 the best so far.
Sam AdvanES We have it on. The first time you fly it keep it off then trim the plane then turn it on in the air. Be prepared to turn it off if its not trimmed right and make adjustments on the ground.
sukhois are the best looking planes out there. american fighter jets are plain ugly compared to this. American planes are jsut as good when it comes to performance but not when it comes to looks

Flanker is the code name of the old Su-27, another great plane ;-)
