A really great demonstration of the importance of CG. Way back in my teens, I worked at an FBO (Fixed Based Operator) and remember loading sandbags in a Cessna 421’s nose luggage compartment. It seemed so odd but it had to be done for the exact same reason Joe adding the nickel to the nose. Thank you for your dedication Steve! Big or small, great or not so great, you tackle them all and make it entertaining while educating all of us.
I have one of those Su-57 's and if you do everything right, it flies very very good... First of all, you taped those lights in a bad way such that it actually effects the aerodynamics and the centre of gravity of the plane in a bad way... You shouldn't have bent the elevators up, you were crashing because you were banking the plane more than you should while turning... You should let the plane fly straight to build airspeed which is the only thing required for this plane to stay in the air... You need to be gentle to controllers... Too much throttle, too much nose up; stall condition... Which happened a lot in this video... Too much bank, no more lift, upset condition... Etc... For info : ) Have a nice day : )
I actually got that su-35 a while back and it works perfectly fine for me, I think he had some pretty serious wind when it flew but for me it worked wonders
I’m absolutely flabbergasted, I got that same exact plane. I’m new to the rc plane but I am used to rc crawlers/cars (the SU-35) and I was struggling to get it in the air so frustrated only to find out *it needed a counter weight like a nickel* and bada bing bada boom it was soaring like a champ! Thank you a ton now I’m cruising in the air
Hey Steve, love your range of reviews. From the who-can-afford-these professional drones to the I-can-go-to-McDonalds-or-get-a-RC plane. And I truly admire how honest your reviews are. These two are prime examples. Highly entertaining and informative content. SALUTE!
QF009 SU-35 is now available as a 2-cell brushless version with a 1503 brushless motor. Same MT99XX/H7(?) protocol for Multis but a good bit more guts.
This model plane has a gyro/flight stability control that needs to be set on a level surface to calibrate. The "experienced flyer" probably knew that (maybe subconsciously) and I doubt the strapping of the nickel was the key 🤷♂️
@@beargillium2369 from all the videos on this plane adding weight to nose correctted cog...but yes these mini planes all need to be set on flat service and calibrated.

Kids, never fly over concrete... Especially if you're maiden'ing. :) And yeah, you have to play with the CG sometimes...adding weight to the front or back, moving it around until you get it how you like it.
Hi all! Fun review and great channel Captain! I´ve been in this hobby for 39 years now, and I own from gas planes to "park flyers" like this Su-35, as well as many other Eachine, XK and other brands of planes. The Su-35 flies great! People should not think they don´t fly, or that they need to avoid these two planes. As with all 2 channel flyers, the Su-57 is a beginners plane with only differential thrust from the motors to control turns and accelerator to control altitude. Beginner flyer but...just turns around in circles. The Su-35 can fly inverted, do rolls, loops, etc. A fun flyer and a great looker up in the sky!
Ohh my controls were definitely not working on the su35 same model … it wasn’t fast like that I could barely turn. No idea how I’m gonna get it off the strangers roof I flew it onto
Comrade, you should’ve flown the su57 like this, Whenever turning always know that your eventually gonna nose down so get a good altitude and let go after a long turn. If not you’d crash. Your su57 is mostly strong with your battery full, which you must know that your battery drains down FAST so i’d suggest fly 10 minutes instead of 20. no need to adjust the elevators just max your throttle, it’ll gain alt by its own. Dont go as high as 40 ft or else your gonna get pushed by the wind. these are actual helpful tips i’ve learned when i flew my FX822 which sadly crashed at December 16 2022. safe flying!
Not sure why you just don't give them a thumbs down...They look like something everyone should avoid. On the other hand, I really like all of your videos, yours are the first ones I look for when reviewing my new subscription posts.
the black one with no elevator definitely a thumbs down 👎 waste money, they could have added elevator control and could have saved plenty of returns from unsatisfied costumers.
Fantastic for the money 💰, way better than anything they had when I was a kid ,perfect for a zero wind evening and a first time flyers 👍, I'm gonna get one just because its $20
He needs to practice on a calm day so he doesn’t look like a fool, the su57 is not a very user friendly plane I bought one and I wish I wouldn’t have, and yes there are much better planes out there but your gonna spend at least $157. And that’s the low end of the good planes.
Vc tá jogado errado o su57 !! Kkkkkk não porde acelerar ele logo na saída !!!! Kk até meu filho voa com su57 e ainda fais manobras kkkkk vc n leu o manual e olhar ai n saber voa kkkk

Would it be considered 4 channel with gyro?

Kudos to Joe for recognizing the aerodynamic instability and providing a correction. Always interesting Captain.👍

Hey can do little tricks 😂
😂👌
Thanks for getting these planes Cap so we don't have to. Save your dollars to make paper planes. Thanks for all the many products you review.

I just jam an oversized battery in the thing. Usually brings up the nose weight, plus more fly time!!!
You are funny. Nice sound effects
Wow a nickel. "Thats should do the trick"
Great video sharing i enjoyed it very much
Thank you!
The 35, once you brought the CG forward, seemed like a fun park flyer and, as many times as you cratered them, they seemed no worse for wear.
What's the fastest one?

hey do you know whats the link for it? I can't find anything like this plane SU35
It makes no "Cents" Captain !!!!!!; well, at least you made it out of the Carpark alive !!!!!😅😅😅😅
What was the country song playing while the guys were flying the su-35 at the field? Anyone know?
Love this channel! El Capitán does the best, honest and most fun reviews!
Thank you
Comprei uma avião desse modelo, e logo no primeiro voo um dos flaps parou de funcionar,
Tem como consertar?
I saw these two on Ebay too and they look larger than I thought they would be. I have a feeling they are larger than the eachine f22 raptor mini.
It really is
The su57 is close to the same size as the volantix/eachine warbirds. The su35 wingspan is close to the same but the length is greater by a bit.
Which one is better?
Hey Steve do u know why my hs720e keeps moving around and not standing still mid air it's brand new and I'm trying to get into drones
Look up videos of TOILET BOWLING DRONES. If yours is doing the same thing it simple means you have done a poor compass calibration.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798 ok thank u so much

Steve the video was hilarious, trying to fly these RC planes in the wind. Thanks for the entertainment. Looking forward to your next video.
Do you know in the su 35 theres a gyroscope . I bought one of the su 35.
I can't recall. I sold these planes long ago.
@@CAPTAINDRONE798Oh ok I like these planes because they're good quality. I got a EDF and I hope you enjoyed your planes that you got.

How far can the Su 35 actually fly?
I can’t quit laughing. Sorry, I have got to go lay down, my stomach hurts. 🤣
Steve thanks bud, you did not need to pretend you don't know how to fly to make me feel better.
F22 and su-57 witch one better pls tell me
F22 or do you mean SU-57 and SU-35?
That was a good laugh! 👍
Captain Crash. Cool video
3:42 the su 57 crashing sound is just lol
Not bad. I have an EDF F-16 that I converted to propeller (videos on my page) It flies amazing and the SU 35 reminded me of it
link video sir

awsome review captain.
Really nice set up
Another good review Steve.
Thanks 👍
When it comes to these that one with the built in props seemed the best
These are so cool 😎
Umm no thanks... For a few more bucks you can get a lot nicer plane..
Bro more like few hundred more
Love the crash sound fx. 😆😅🤣😅😆
CG Captain
Really cool review enjoy the week
Stick with drones Steve!
Good afternoon captain really cool plane's
Great Video. Thank You.
That su35 is very durable...and in others videos i have watched it flys great...
Great review, they do seem kind of crap.
Nice 👍
The Su-35 just needs a $20 AIO fpv camera installed in the nose for weight. Then you can put the coin back in your pocket where it belongs.
Landing gear's affect aerodynamic
Not sure why you just don't give them a thumbs down...They look like something everyone should avoid.
On the other hand, I really like all of your videos, yours are the first ones I look for when reviewing my new subscription posts.
These planes certainly are popular when flown with no wind, or balanced properly... but they are not for me.
The su35 fliea great
the black one with no elevator definitely a thumbs down 👎 waste money, they could have added elevator control and could have saved plenty of returns from unsatisfied costumers.
Lol I was getting ready to say tape it to one of your drones then it will fly great!!
Hi Steve.....Wow....thanks to Joe. Your day wasn't a total waist. Really liked the look of the SU-35 in the air.......👍
I agree that in flight that plane looks “sexy”.
Ohh man, cool 🤟🏼🤝😎
Excellent

I gave both of these planes to my friends. They added nose weight and both flew amazing!
I bought both of those last year and both were the worst planes I ever purchased.
Just like the real thing …. The crashing I mean.
it so easy to fly so why you can not fly them??? and why did you review like that???
Unfortunately these are toys and not real RC flying planes
Oh crash... and crash
how not cool, they didn't put elevators on it, they could have for like $5 dollars more. lol
