All essence mascaras are very good. They never flake. Lash princess is really popular. The one with the green on the packaging. They are super cheap also. Enjoy!😍
No mascara I've ever bought, at any price point, can hold a candle to a $5 tube of Lash Princess. Tried the purple one a few years ago, and never looked back.
Hi Aly! I've been watching your videos for years. I would love to see a 70s makeup look on your channel. Those very colorful ones. I love how you approach makeup and how well informed you are on the techniques. So I'd love to see your take on that. ❤️💖💚💜💕

I really love how you do your makeup. It’s realistic because you use same product for many years and you use them completely. I think this makeup enhances your features et add a lot to your look. I’m still trying to figure that signature look for myself. I hope I will find it thank to all your wonderful tips. I have the same problem as you with mascara. Especially now that we have to have masks all the time, my lashes tends to be more wet, so my usual mascara smudges a lot more. I bought a waterproof mascara, from nyx, and I use it on top of my old mascara and I don’t have this problem anymore. So maybe a waterproof mascara could be an answer.
I am doing makeup for 30 years, and by far the best ever is Lancome Grandiose mascara, not waterproof version. It is buildable, and it is easy to apply. You will not regret it.

Loved this and learned so many new tricks! I’m constantly figuring out what I like and don’t like on camera and tips from you make a world of difference. For mascara I have the same problem with so many and the charlotte tilbury smudged like crazy on me. I’ve had great luck with the Dior in the thick black tube with silver accent and covergirl lash blast. The Dior is more voluminous and fluffy and the covergirl is more separated but still full. For all mascara though I have to powder over my eyelids at the end with a translucent powder and keep my eyes closed until the mascara fully dries. Hope that helps ❤️❤️❤️
My favorite mascara is the L’Oréal voluminous lash paradise. I recommend you try it out l don’t get smudges with it and l like how the brush makes my lashes always look amazing.

Experimenting with makeup is fun, but I do find it so freeing when you find products and methods that work well for you. On the eyes: 1) I feel green eyes really pick up the yellow in light. I notice my own can appear to have more yellow if I'm under a light, even though they're blue-green rather than hazel and therefore cooler than warmer. Maybe it's the same for other colors too? 2) I think the purple tones in that eyeshadow are so good for green eyes. I find purple and blue eyeshadows make my eyes look greener.
I heard essence lash princess false lash effect is good. I haven’t tried it myself. I just ordered the waterproof version for my straight lashes, but I heard the regular version is good.
You look absolutely gorgeous! I like that you highlight that makeup needs to be specific for the individuals bone structure. I am motivated to try eye liner again - I’ve just been using powder eye shadow. I also stopped buying lots of makeup and use every last drop of my favorites. Big fan of BareMinerals and swear by Complexion Rescue - Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream. I have sensitive leaning toward dry skin. I recently purchased ULTA Maximum Lashes and love it - no flaking or smugging.

MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash Mascara is by far the best mascara I've used and I don't even feel ike trying any other after I discovered this one. it's not flaky at all. It's the darkest black and and so flattering!
Ruby Woo: such an excellent choice ! The most universal and vivid red! As a mocha-hazelnut brunette with very high contrast (hazel eyes, cool pale olive skin), Rebel is my favorite shade by Mac.
Thank you for the video! I would love to know about blending for every day looks when you're going to be around people. I always worry my contouring will be overdone and too obvious.
Aly, please try Japanese drugstore mascaras. Having a pair of Asian eyes and short & straight eye lashes, Japanese drugstore mascaras are my go-to. They don’t smudge and they do such a great job of holding my lashes up all day. Kiss Me is a great brand, Ettusais is also great.
Hi Aly! Your hair is amazing!! 😍 I’m wondering if you could do a video teaching us what you do and how you achieve this amazing color... I love your channel, by the way! I think you’re brilliant and most talented! 🥰 Cheers 😊🥰✨
I have the same problem with mascara smudging and the solution for me has been “tubing” mascara. Many brands make this kind of mascara so you can choose which one you like. MAC has it, L’Oréal, Blinc, DHC, NYX, Maybelline… hope this helps! Great video!
I was wondering the other day what your signature makeup routine is, a few days later this video pops up as recommended! It was really insightful, we seem to do our blending on the eyeshadow the same! I thought I was the only one who went up to a certain point and doesn't "drag it out".
I found Lancôme teint idole foundation recently that is my new favorite! Lasts a long time, does not cause breakouts or cling to my dry skin, it’s the best matte foundation !
Wet and Wild is cruelty free and inexpensive. The Lash Renegade mascara has a brush that is rounded at the end, makes great spiky lashes, doesn't flake or transfer. You would love their lipsticks too. There are several shades of read that would suit you, as well as the wine. They stay on all day.
Aly could you do a video on how to decide which features to emphasise when you feel like your face doesn’t have much harmony? I feel like some of my features don’t really “go” together. I have large round eyes but they’re very deep set and I have a prominent brow bone. I have a broad strong jaw and cheek bones but very chubby cheeks. I have small lips but a wide smile and a large and prominent nose. I kind of feel like whenever I do my make up I feel like I’m putting product on each feature individually and not making up my whole face. How would you recommend we pick which part of our contrasting features to play up?
@@____-mg7lr I’ve been working so hard the past seven years to grow them but they insist on starting too far apart. Might start buying the expensive stuff. I just worry it would be wasted and that money could be put to better use sorting our some of my other complaints
I’d love to se you do a “makeup haul” video. But I really appreciate that you have a naturally good sense of what looks good on yourself and don’t feel the need to constantly buy tons of different stuff. I keep going back to Maybelline Colossal Mascara (the one in the yellow tube) as the best one, but Urban Decay Perversion is awesome too - I just hate the price. The Kat Von D Contour Palette is IMO also the best , although Anastasia is pretty good; I have a couple of the ABH contour sticks for using when I want to use a cream product for contour and I like them a lot. I’d probably buy KVD again but I also have some MAC contour colours and really like them a lot too and will probably just stick with them for future. Wish Chocolate Bar palette was still available as I only didn’t buy it at the time because it was “trendy” and now regret it because it seems very flexible.
Hi, love watching your videos, very interesting. Thank you. As you are looking for a new foundation, May I suggest Guerlain L’essentiel. It’s an excellent foundation with good coverage and finish, and lasts all day. Keeps skin looking natural too. As for mascara that doesn’t flake or smudge, I personally love L’Oréal Telescope waterproof Mascara . Have tried many, but this is my favourite. x
I LOVE Matte lipstick and ruby woo is such a great choice. Too faced melted matte in lady balls is soooo pretty you won’t regret having both of them. As for a mascara I’m in love with chanel le volume de chanel, its pricey but worth the money. A cheaper mascara that I discover recently is ISADORA Stretch lash mascara expandable brush, it’s great as well. Thanks for making this video I was waiting for it your make up is so great. And now I’m really excited to see your make up haul video.
Aly, what's your color season? I think that's really important while choosing makeup shades. I'm some kind of Autumn (Warm and Muted) with possibly some olive undertone and it seems that most beauty influencers have another coloring because their suggestions don't work for me. I say this because I fell into the Kardashians makeup trend years ago and felt very disappointed because all the neutral shades they used (Subculture, Spice, Whirl, Velvet Teddy) made me look like a corpse, gray or green. It took a very kind MAC employee to assess that my "90s nude" needed some rose or mauve tint, so he recommended Soar, Twig and Brave. The difference was night and day. Those colors still read neutral on me, but they bring me to life instead of taking it away.
I believe Aly may be a light colour season, probably Light Summer. She is rather cool and luminous in her colouring. Slightly muted, but there are some bright colours that may fit her. I'd love to see her on light and pink shades, especially on make up (eyeshadows and lipstick or lip gloss). I think she would look great on them. Some slightly muted corals would also look good on her. I think she should enhance the ethereal, luminous aspect of her beauty. It gives a bit mysterious aura when mixed with her body type.
My favorite is Maybelline Lash Sensational Luscious mascara. I am on my 5th bottle. It makes your lashes voluptuous and gorgeous and it does not smudge. It is a little bit hard to get off but I don't mind. It didn't damage my lashes. It has a silicone wand.
Yes yes makeup haul! I don't want to spend too much money in makeup, so I tried to find cheaper but quality brands. I discovered Avril's brushes, it's not too expensive but it's actually pretty good ! Revolution beauty is also my new makeup destination ! For the mascara I use Volume millions de cils and Bambi eyes in waterproof by Loreal. Never had problems with it! The lashes stay in place due to the waterproof formula
Thrive Cosmetics Tubing Mascara is the best non smudging easy to remove only with warm water. It's a lengthening mascara but I'm not sure if it will give you the extra volume you want, but deserves a shot. And OFC I would love if you make a makeup haul video
I love your videos so much. This is such a beautiful look on you. The e colors you choose are so perfect. I have sensitive eyes and cannot use shadow with glitter. When you are shopping for makeup please consider Mac shadow in Blackbury. I think you would love it. Also Mac has a beautiful lip liner that is more pink called Soar. Sending you many blessings.
You are so talented! Thanks for sharing this! For mascara, I highly recommend a tubing mascara, as they don't give you racoon eyes and they can be removed with warm water! I love MAC Extended Play Lash - the best for under eye lashes, and Loreal Unlimited waterproof, great volume, never smudges!! xxx
I used to love the Studio Fix foundation but since I went cruelty free i am not using Mac anymore, as they sell in China and cannot be consider cruelty free. I believe the closest match to Studio Fix I was able to find is Peach Perfect from Too Faced. Some other options worth trying: the Fenty original foundation (or Catrice hd liquid coverage, considered a very close dupe), or the ultimate classic: Revlon Colorstay (I'd say the the mixed/oily version is closer to studio fix).
I have never tried Lancome Mr Big mascara but many people rave about it and there is a waterproof formula. I use the DHC mascara wonderful for my hooded lids and it was recommended by Lisa Eldridge moons ago. Wonderful tutorial, thank you
for the mascara, if its getting dry or flaky you can try adding eyedrops or contact lens solution to the bottle and then mix it and it will be good as new
Aly! L’Oreal’s Lash Paradise in the Waterproof formula is THE BEST mascara EVER!!! Won’t clump, volumizes AND lengthens, doesn’t smudge even on the bottom lashes, and holds a curled lash like a miracle!!! It’ll work great for the style of lashes you like. I’m Asian and have very straight, short eyelashes and it works wonders for me, and it’s super easy to remove with eye makeup remover. Oh and of course it’s super affordable! I recommend it! 👍🏻
I love the Volume Million Lashes Mascara by L'Oréal in classic Black. It is even waterproof without saying. I have tried almost all high end brands and I am still buying it now for more then 10 years. It is not overwhelming, does not clump and very buildeble. Just weit for 20 seconds in between thin coats. By the way, i love your channel and have watched from the beginning 💖
I think the Missha BB Cream in 26# (I'm tanned like you) would work well and it can build coverage. It's more 🙌juicy🙌🤣 looking but powder on top fixes that. It's nourishing but doesn't break me out. Ive tried other foundations and bb creams but i always run back to Missha
I am a makeup addict RN and MAC face and body is workproof, mask proof, sweat proof, skinlike (hose, not mask!), buildable and lightweight! I dont pimple up on my dehydrated skin
You are truly my most favorite person on TH-cam! I already thought you were so talented (with this channel), and then I just discovered your other one where you sing so well. You're amazing!
I learned from makeup artist Robert Walsh if you use eye primer under your eyes it keeps the mascara from transferring. Every single mascara I’ve used transferred and smudged until I tried his trick. No more transfer even when I’m dancing and sweating
It’s nice to see someone with not alot of makeup products

I love MAC Extended Play Lash - the best for under eye lashes, and Loreal Unlimited waterproof, great volume, never smudges!! xxx
Always beautiful!
Dior Mascara is my favorite. I never use cheap or inexpensive cosmetics.
I'd love to see a makeup haul!
Hi Aly! Could you please take a look at other typing systems such as olga's ethereals, merriam style's artistic license system etc? thank you
I used to love the Studio Fix foundation but since I went cruelty free i am not using Mac anymore, as they sell in China and cannot be consider cruelty free.
Wonderful tutorial, thank you
for the mascara, if its getting dry or flaky you can try adding eyedrops or contact lens solution to the bottle and then mix it and it will be good as new
Great video! I love seeing your process. I’d suggest Charlotte Tilbury flawless foundation. It’s amazing.
You look great thankyou for sharing your make-up expertise
I’d love to see a new makeup haul!
You are truly my most favorite person on TH-cam! I already thought you were so talented (with this channel), and then I just discovered your other one where you sing so well. You're amazing!
Would love a makeup haul
So beautiful Aly💖💕
I learned from makeup artist Robert Walsh if you use eye primer under your eyes it keeps the mascara from transferring. Every single mascara I’ve used transferred and smudged until I tried his trick. No more transfer even when I’m dancing and sweating
